My First Sun and Moon Competitive Thoughts

Hey guys, Oblivion here! I have been in the competitive Pokemon scene since Platinum now, and I usually try to make interesting sets that break into uncharted territories! Here are a few sets I have made so far since Sun and Moon's release that I may use to try to get to VGC Worlds for the first time:

-Psychic
-Hidden Power (Fire)

Ability: Psychic Surge

EV Spread: 252 Sp. Atk, 248 HP, 8 Sp. Def

Ability: Own Tempo

-Toxic
-Infestation
-Recover

Ability: Regenerator

EV Spread: 252 HP, 252 Def, 4 Sp. Atk

Ability: Bulletproof

-Moon Blast

Ability: Effect Spore

EV Spread: 252 HP, 4 Sp. Atk, Sp. Def
















Most of these sets work best in conjunction with the Smeargle set-up set listed, just for clarification.

Hazards are pretty garbage in VGC: the average game is over before they can be too effective, while the time spent putting them up could lead to you losing a pokemon. I would consider Follow Me and Protect. In fact, I would consider more things on this team getting protect, since it is a good tool for momentum.

This is true, these are more of just some thoughts on interesting sets, not all necessarily for VGC.
