My first team - OU sun

So this is my first team ever, so please bear with me if i do something wrong and please inform me of my nubbliness so that it may be improved upon

This is really just a basic sun/fire water grass team with nothing fancy at all besides venusaur's awesomeness

Ninetales (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Drought
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Will-O-Wisp
- Substitute
- Protect

Went with bold as opposed to timid nature since I need to keep ninetales alive for as long as possible, will-o-wisp is to cripple enemy threats but can be replaced with toxic if you wish since vaporeon carries scald for the burn. And of course Substitute and protect are there to keep it alive for as long as possible

Ferrothorn (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Protect
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball
- Stealth Rock

Just your normal phys wall who also works to counter anyone that tries to ruin my Ninetales. leech seed is to help whittle down bulky enemies and heal anyone who needs extra health like venusaur or arcanine, while protect can help both with stall wars and scout for fireblast and flamethrower. Stealth rocks of course for annoying entry hazards which also helps vaporeon by even more annoying since he carries roar. And gyro ball of course it just for extra damage and to help hit any fast sweepers that might prove to be troublesome

Venusaur (M) @ Life Orb/Black Sludge
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- SolarBeam
- Hidden Power [Rock]
- Sleep Powder/Sludge Bomb
- Growth

Special sweeper with major exploitation of sunlight since he gets three advantages from it. HP rock covers just about all of his weaknesses besides psychic. Sleep powder of course is to stall out the enemy for free attacks, but can be replaced with sludge bomb for another great STAB and a chance to poison the enemy if Ninetales isn't sporting toxic. As for items life orb of course is possible the best choice for obvious reasons, but personally I like to play more defensively so black sludge can be used instead, which also has the bonus of hurting the occasional trick user. Sunlight makes Venusaur a crazy awesome sweeper since it makes growth give +2 special attack and chlorophyll doubles speed so not much will be able to get past you, especially if they're asleep.

Vaporeon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Scald/toxic
- Roar
- Protect

Vaporeon is blesses with three goals, special wall, healing, and preventing sweepers from setting up. Scald or toxic can be used for status effects, but toxic would prolly be the better choice on this set since the goal of this team is to always have sun up, and ninetales has will-o-wisp anyways and that's a guaranteed burn. Roar once again prevents enemy sweepers from staying set up and also lets you get extra stealth rock damage for those stall wars everyone loves.

Arcanine (M) @ Life orb

Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Flare Blitz
- Wild Charge
- Close Combat
- ExtremeSpeed

Just your cookie cutter physical sweeper, flare blitz does crazy damage with STAB and sun up so you can decimate just about any type with ease. Wild charge and close combat are for hitting other types too resistant to fire, and extremespeed is to ensure those low hp kills. Took flash fire instead of intimidate to tank fire attacks that would hurt venusaur and ferrothorn and then make flare blitz amazing enough to bust down anybody regardless of weakness.

Alakazam (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Psyshock
- Substitute
- Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball

My attempt at a revenge killer, went with life orb as opposed to choice scarf since his speed is already beastly (especially when boosted by timid nature) and magic guard prevents life orb and substitute damage. Psyshock may not have the power of psychic but it deals physical damage so you can take out any annoying special walls. Focus sash can also be used since magic guard will prevent entry hazard damage so there is no need to worry about wasting it on the switch in, and Alakazam is amazingly fragile and can't take hits too well. Focus blast is for dark types and Ferrothorn and shadowball gets rid of those pesky ghosts and other psychics like reuniclus

So there's my first team, feel free to criticize however you wish, be unrelenting and mean if need be, just as long as the point gets across

BTW i know this might need n00bish, but how exactly do you add in pictures? I'm kinda retarded when it comes to advanced-ish forum stuff

I would switch the Choice Band on Arcanine with a Life Orb. I run the Life Orb set myself after experimenting with Choice Band. You have no rapid spinner on your team, so if you're banded, then once your opponent has SR up, he can just switch to a pokemon that can wall whatever attack he predicts you'll use. then, after taking recoil damage, you'd be forced to switch out, (since your banded attack would be ineffective against his switch-in) giving your opponent time to set up, and then you'd lose a whopping 25% of your HP when you switch back in. It's just not worth it. Life Orb gives you nearly as much power, albeit with the HP cost, but it's ultimately much safer for your team in the long run.
