Anyway, this is my RMT. I just got into competitive battling a little while ago, and just downloaded Shoddy yesterday. This is my first actual team, and I want to see what others think. Thanks for looking around, I'd love some feedback. :]

Bold = changes.

aerodactyl.png

Aerodactyl (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock

My lead. Aerodactyl is one of the fastest Pokemon, and his ability to set up Stealth Rock AND utilize Taunt makes him a great choice for the lead of my team. He usually Sets up Stealth Rock and the switches out ASAP. I bring him in later, in the possible neet of earthquake or Stone Edge. Stone Edge hits flyers, usually for a 2HKO, while Earthquake gets Heatran and other guys that are weak to it.

heatran.png

Heatran (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Flamethrower
- Flash Cannon
- Explosion

One of the standard Heatrans. Flamethrower gets rid of Scizor, Earth Power is practically another Earthquake, just in Special attack form. Very good revenge killer, as we all know. Flash Cannon is STAB, not a great type, but still works with his great Sp. Atk. Explosion is to get rid of any tanks/when his HP gets low.

milotic.png

Milotic (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP/242 Def/16 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Surf
- Sleep Talk
- Rest
- Ice Beam

Milotic is undoubtedly the most important member of my team. When it coems to walling, many people think of Suicune or Cresselia, but Milotic works much better imo, especially since it has great offensive capabilites as well. Rest not only heals all HP, but also activates Marvel Scale. Marvel Scales makes it so each defense is 120-125 base. With 95 base HP, she lasts a while. I usually bring her out late-game when the sweepers are gone. She can make battles last 10+ minutes, especially when walling a wall, usually resulting in a struggle battle. She can use Sleep Talk when sleeping, so the sleep still has more use. Surf is powerful STAB, while Ice Beam gets rid of dragons. high defenses and 100 base Sp. Atk. is nothing to laugh about.

scizor.png

Scizor (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 32 HP/252 Atk/224 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Pursuit
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- Brick Break

My sweeper, basic Scizor set, without Swords Dance. Scizor's too frail to use Swords Dance effectively, IMO. I'm planning on getting a Baton Passer, preferrably Gliscor to fix his survivability and sweeping capability. Bullet Punch speaks for itself, Pursuit gets rid of Psychics and is just a great move, especially with technician, and Brick Break smashes walls and gets through steels like Magnezone.

gliscor.png

Gliscor (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 252 HP/60 Spd/196 SDef
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
-Earthquake
- Baton Pass
- Swords Dance
- Rock Polish

Baton Passes to Scizor, usually. He can usually stay in long enoguh for 2-3 Swords Dances/Rock Polishes. With a Rock Polish or two, Scizor won't need to worry too much about his speed, while one Swords Dance can usually get the trick done. Earthquake is for STAB and Heatran, as Aerodactyl often doesn't get the chance to shien when Heatran's around.

---

gardevoir.png

Gardevoir (M) @ Light Clay
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/6 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt
- Reflect
- Light Screen

Gardevoir is my support, and she's good at it. Like Milotic, she's somewhat of a wall with offense. Light Clay brings up 8-turn barriers, and can help my team quite a lot. Thunderbolt is for flyers and mainly gyarados [type-coverage] while Psychic is powerful STAB that can hurt anything who doesn't resist it. I usually set up barriers before bringing in either Arcanine or Scizor, so they can last longer.

---

Might Take out-

Skarmory- Use is very situational - Switched him out.

Gardevoir- Gets the job done,. but I have a feeling there may be someone better for the job

---

Might put in-

Gliscor- Can Baton Pass both Rock Polish and Sowrds Dance to Scizor, possibly Arcanine. Definitely useful. Also learns Earthquake, definately needed with Aerodactyl ever gone.

A replacement to Gardevoir- Another support Pokemon with offensive capabilites as well. Suggestions please?

---

Counters to my team-

Heatran- I have 2 weaknesses to fire, and only one pokemon with Earthquake. Yet, Aerodactyl often dies pretty quickly.

Specialized teams- Hail teams, sandstorm teams, etc, are a problem for me. The other teams usually get too many benefits, while I get little to none.

So, there's my team. :]

My current win:battle ratio is 16:21. Thank you. =D

um. jolteon would like to play against this team.

has a few easily couterable pokemon..

the focus sash is a good choice for aero, but it just seems mediocere

Alright, aerodactyl lead is very outclassed now metagross lead would be more effective go with the standard metagross leads. I'll tell you why infernapes fake out gets rid of it's sash and fire blast will tear through aero, but metagross with occa berry resists fire and helps kill here's infernape by earthquake'in then bping and whe it's done set up sr.
On arcanine don't go with that huge ev spread go witht his one to make him stronger in attacking and faster. 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Sp, if you follow this change the nature to jolly or adamant I would suggest adamant for more power thats what you seek. Also add thunder fang to kill waters like gyrados and vaporeon. That's all rest is fine I suppose.

A starmie will eat aerodactyl, heatran, milotic, and gliscor for breakfast. Aerodactyl can also get koed by a lot of leads. If you want focus sash on your lead, try modest gengar, which catches a lot of other pokes, other timid gengars, alakazams, azelfs, etc. off guard, because they expect a ko. Heatran doesn’t need flash cannon because the only types that are weak to steel are rock and ice, and any rock types you encounter will go down to earth power, ice types to fire blast. In my opinion, you should replace it with HP Ice, so you can hit dragons, and, if you want to kill rock types, aerodactyl. Milotic can learn recover I think, which might work a bit better than rest, since it doesn’t shut down your poke for two turns. Then you can fill in the last slot with reflect or light screen. In regards to Scizor, he’s not actually too frail to use SD. If you switch Scizor in on something that can’t punish you, you can SD and predict what to attack anything that switches in on your Scizor with if they stay in, then finish it off with Bullet Punch. Even if they switch out immediately, Scizor can kill a lot of pokes in 1 shot with bullet punch if they don’t resist it, since it gets technician, STAB, SD, and life orb. I would replace Roost with SD. For the last slot pursuit is fine if you don’t have SD, but X-scissor can be useful if you do have it. It’s a STAB, with an SD and a life orb, so if a poke stays in instead of switching and you predict a switch, you can whip out X-scissor and bullet punch for the ko. I <3 Scizor. Lawl. Gliscor is fine baton passing with rock polish or SD, but getting both in before switching seems hard, since there are very few teams who don’t have a poke with ice beam or surf, both of which will very likely ko Gliscor. If you can rock polish + BP on a scizor with SD, it would be a great combo, since scizor could hit pokemon without a weakness/resistance to its attacks with strong STABs like X-scissor. You could also give Gliscor roost and SR (and take away from Aero) if you like, and let him play physical counter. Gardevoir Looks like another physical wall. If milotic is a physical wall then you can just get rid of gardevoir and replace her with something like Dusknoir or Spiritomb. Especially Spiritomb because he doesn’t have a weakness. With pain split and Will-o-wisp Spiritomb can be very hard to kill, burning opponents and then following up with multiple dark pulses, eventually forcing a switch, where you can pursuit if you predict it right. You can also pursuit if you switch in and burn a physical attacker. And that’s all I have to say. Eat wall of text =D

If you want to replace Gardevoir for something else use the Duel Screen Cresselia:

Cresselia @ Light Clay
Levitate
252 Hp 60 Def 44 Sp.Def 152 Spd
Bold [+Def -Atk]
-Reflect
-Light Screen
-Lunar Dance
-Thunder Wave

Provides Thunder Wave support to cripple Scarfers and sets up Dual Screen easily. After it's all said and done, Cresselia sacrifices itself to heal another teammate. (Maybe Heatran or Gliscor)
