My First Team (weee....)

Hello people, this is my first real team, and I'm looking for any and all suggestions to improve it. I probably have some really glaring weakness, but hopefully you guys can help me correct it. *insert copypasta from shoddy*

Dotaku (Bronzong) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/152 Atk/40 Def/56 SDef
Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Gyro Ball
- Light Screen
- Earthquake
Sets up Stealth Rock and Light Screen, then bashes away. Hopefully provides some special defense.
---
Shai-Hulud (Tyranitar) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Focus Punch
- Earthquake
Standard CB fair and to set up sandstorm. Maybe a DD would be better?
---
Hitode (Starmie) @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 172 HP/216 Spd/120 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
Rapid spin, along with some useful special attacks. Ice beam if rapid spin isn't needed...
---
Agaricus Bisporus (Breloom) (M) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 44 HP/252 Atk/212 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Leech Seed
- Focus Punch
- Spore
Not experienced with subseeders at all, but it sounded really cool. Sue me. :P
---
Night Haunter (Gliscor) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 Def
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Roost
- Taunt
Physical tank, not quite sure about moveset and ability.
---
Ihcarij (Jirachi) @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 248 HP/80 Def/180 Spd
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Wish
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt
Wish and some special damage.
---

Looking over this, it seems I have no pokemon with an instant heal...
And... an Infernape weakness...?
nungh

This team has changed around so much I'm not really sure what I want from it anymore, about the only thing thats stayed constant is sandstorm.

Anyway, any help at all would be appreciated.

The first thing that yells at me is that you have four things weak to fire with only TTar resisting it. This is an open invitation for Infernape and Heatran to run through this team.

If you want rapid spin that badly I would use Starmie over Foresstress. Foresstress likely will never have enough time to lay down spikes and toxic spikes anyway. Starmie can stop Infernape and Gyarados as an added bonus. Or maybe you can try something crazy like a Azumarill to deal with both, or run another bulky water somewhere.

With a team that does not rely on Spikes/TSpikes/SR damage to wear down pokemon like yours a spin blocker isn't completely necessary but without Dusknoir Heracross is even more deadly. Dusknoir isnt too good at stopping Heracross anyway so I'd consider Gliscor or Weezing over Dusknoir.

Breloom wants Spore badly, and a Toxic Orb with Poison Heal will greatly aid in Subseeding.

Yeah, I noticed that too, not sure what pokemon to replace though...

Or maybe you can try something crazy like a Thick Fat Azumarill (Maybe Pure Power will still work) who can also take Heatran and not get too messed up by Infernape.

So rapid spin isn't really that necessary? I kinda want to keep the spikes though. So should I move one of the spikes to another pokemon, or maybe just get rid of them altogether? I'll look into Starmie/Azumarill, but assuming I keep the spikes, what should I replace em with?

So a spin blocker isn't really needed, or are you saying that Gliscor/Weezing are spin blockers? I though only ghosts could fill that role. It'd definitely be nice to free myself from ghost only here.

Doh, forgot to set its item and ability. Spore conflicts with toxic spikes though, right? Hmm.. on second though, Spore can definitely help set up subseeding, they'll probably switch anyway and be repoisoned, and... stuff... Anyway, which move should be swapped out? My instinct is to get rid of Seed Bomb.

No, I'm saying you can use Starmie to Rapid Spin (and it can counter Gyara and Infernape too!) I would use Starmie over Forrestress.

Oh, I know, you can make your Tyrannitar Careful and use it as a special wall! It could probably take down Heatran then.

What i'm saying about the spin blocker is that you won't really need it, unless you really really want to use spikes.

The role of your Dusknoir other than to be a spin blocker is to somewhat deal with Heracross and Fighters, which Gliscor and Weezing might be more suited to. (And if it's a Physical Infernape Gliscor walls it!)

You could always try a Tentacruel out if you don't like Starmie, but if the ape is carrying EQ it won't help much. But EQ is rare on Apes.

Toxic Spike or Rapid/HP Elec/Surf/Ice Beam

hp Elec cause Gyarados looks like it could give you trouble

Also on Tar, I don't really Like Focus Punch with a Band, I would run Pursuit over it. But that's up to you.

Decisions, decisions...

So I think I'll take your suggestions...

Not quite sure on Gliscors set. I absolutely refuse to use Weezing, a giant mutated ball of gas doesn't really appeal to me. Ok I kid, anyway, whats next on the agenda?

edit: You posted while I was making this. The Focus Punch is a holdout from a previous hypothetical set I forgot to change.

I though about Tentacruel, still might make it in there, but for now I'm favoring Starmie. I like the higher SpA and the heal move.

you do have a significant nape weakness so id throw surf over ice beam on starmie since gliscor can handle garchomp (I'm also suggesting you throw ice fang on him over aerial ace) starmie can also serve at a heatran counter in a pinch. pretty much dont let it die or you get really worked over by fire types.

another "solution" is to go with the standard jirachi (max hp with sub over wish) which can lure out bolder infernapes to be ohkod by psychic from behind the sub. I can attest to that jirachi's awesomeness. I use 252 hp 96 speed (outspeeds max speed mamo and adamant lucario) around 130~ def and the rest in special attack. your team handles tyranitar pretty well (loom/gliscor/bronzong) so i'd definetely support that set.

Hmmm what I'd be scared of here is either a Mix/Specs Salamence, the aforementioned Scarf/Specs Heatran, and especially a SpecsLucario.

The main weak point that I don't really comprehend on this team is Breloom. Breloom's usual switch in's are like Gyarados and Tyranitar, who you have covered. So if we take into account of your main weaknesses, Cresselia can take on all 3 well enough. However, if that's too bland, then I'd go with a revenge sweeper instead. Gengar is here is extremely useful, as it can easily revenge kill any of the problems this team has.

You could also take a more offensive approach if you slap Gyarados over Gliscor. Pretty much same resistances, no healing, but you DO have Wish support. Gyarados still covers Heracross for the most part, and helps with Garchomp as well thanks to Intimidate.
