Hey all, this is my first "competitive" team in XY, and I wanted to get some input on it. So here goes:
Venusaur - Venusaurite (Thick Fat)
252 HP / 252 SpAtk / 4 Speed (Modest)
Sleep Powder
Synthesis
Energy Ball
Sludge Bomb
This thing is a tank. I use it against teams that have a lot of counters to the majority of my pokemon. Even if an opponent uses a super effective pokemon against it, thick fat reduces that damage and with a sleep powder I get plenty of time to heal up and slowly take it out.
Goodra - Choice Specs (Sap Sipper)
248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD (Modest)
Thunderbolt
Fire Blast
Draco Meteor
Focus Blast
My all out offense. There is almost nothing I can't take out with it. I use is mainly against special heavy teams to make use of Goodra's superb special defence. It's also great at switching in and out just to get 1 attack off due to its bulk.
Azumarill - Splash Plate (Huge Power)
168 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 84 Speed (Adamant)
Aqua Jet
Waterfall
Superpower
Play Rough
All around great offense with decent bulk. I use azumarill as a lead quite often, and also use it against opposing fairy types. I have 1 hit KO'd fairy arceus before, I love this pokemon. It also has decent coverage. I use splash plate mainly to boost my priority move against super effective pokemon that I know would outspeed me.
Gardevoir - Leftovers (Trace)
252 SAtk / 76 HP / 4 SDef / 176 Speed (Modest)
Calm Mind
Moonblast
Focus Blast
Shadow Ball
I love this pokemon. Great coverage and amazing against special heavy teams. I almost always start with a calm mind and sometimes go for 2 or 3 if the opponent does almost nothing to it. I have had great success with it, and am even considering switching to this as my mega.
Scolipede - Focus Sash (Speed Boost)
34 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Speed (Jolly)
Megahorn
Swords Dance
Protect
Baton Pass
My physical setup pokemon, I use it in combination with dragonite and azumarill. Weak to priority attackers and status inducers, but other than that is almost unstoppable. Even left at 1 health I can bring it back in for a protect + baton pass just to boost the speed of my next pokemon.
Dragonite - Weakness Policy (Multiscale)
252 Atk / 252 Speed / 4 HP (Adamant)
Dragon Dance
Fire Punch
Extremespeed
Earthquake
Love this guy. Great bait against dragon/fairy heavy teams, and gets MASSIVE when set up by scolipede. Just all around great for me. Good coverage, good bulk, amazing sweeper capability. So happy that I stumbled on this guy when searching for pokemon to fill up my team.
So that's my team...Scolipede is a fairly new addition and Im loving it. Very few people know how to answer him by leading with someone who has a priority move, so I get a lot of free wins just by setting up and baton passing to either dragonite or azumarill.
Suggestions and feedback would be greatly appreciated! I am open to changing anything. Thanks!
