My First Team

My old team that i was using for quite a while was lifted right off of a smogon RMT so i decided to get off my lazy ass and make my own team and here is what i came up with
At a glance:
pokemon.jpg

In Detail!
infernape.png

Lead Infernape
Modest
@ Focus Sash
252 spA 252 speed 6 hp
Grass Knot
Stealth Rock
Fireblast
Vacum Wave
My old idea of using HP-water wasnt working out to well. so i switched item from life orb to focus sash and added stealth rock in place of HP-water. i always get stealth rock up and i deal major damage to any metagross jirachi or swampert lead i face. i chose vacum wave over close combat because i like having a priority move especially if i can manage to save Infernape for mid to late game. I decided not to go with Fake out because i think that grass knot is more valuable than another priority move.
celebi.jpg

Offensive Celebi
Timid
@ Life Orb
76Hp 252 spA 180 Spe
Hidden Power-Fire
Thunder Wave
Grass Knot
Recover
Thanks for the help on this one. it works better without having to set up and can definatly slow down faster sweeepers thanks to T-wave. I really wanted to go offensive with this one because i like using offensive teams. So a defensive celebi, however good, wasnt for me. I originally had Calm Mind in the place of T-wave but having 2 calm minders wasnt working.
heatran.jpg

Choice Scarf Heatran
Naive
@ Choice Scarf
252 SpA/252 Speed
Fire Blast
Explosion
Dragon Pulse
Earth Power
The best revenge killer i have ever used. helps me with scizor and countless of other threats. I really like Heatran he pairs very will with scizor who lures in fire blast. Choice scarf and max speed allows me to outspeed pretty much everything who hasnt gotten a speed boost. I choose Fire Blast over flamethrower for the extra boost that heatran needs and sacrificing acuracy and PP isnt a big deal to me.
suicune.png

Sleep Talking Suicune
Bold
@Leftovers
255 hp/255 Def
Surf
Calm Mind
Rest
Sleep Talk
You know it, you love to hate it, its suisune! if i can set this bad boy up its nearly unstoppable if u dont have a vaporeon on ur team and even if you do celebi takes care of it. Forget special Walls this thing sets right up on blissey with no problem. Being pretty much immune to status is another great plus. After a few calm minds suicune has no problem sweeping teams.
ShinyPorygon2.png

The Defensive Duck Porygon2
Bold
@Leftovers
40SpA/252 hp/ 216 Def
Ice Beam
T-Bolt
Recover
Toxic
This thing is incredible. Gyarados Salamence Heatran are no match for this thing. I choose toxic over magic coat because toxic is just plain more effective in more circumstances. I didnt need t-wave because celebi handles that department. And you'd be surprised how often porygon2 can stall himself out of tricky situations with toxic and recover.
scizor.png

Choice Band Scizor
Adamant
@Choice Band
252 Attack/ 252 Hp
U-Turn
Bullet Punch
Super Power
Pursuit
Besides being able to bullet punc through teams scizor plays another important part on my team. He functions as a lurer. Scizor lures in gyarados salamence and fire blast. i have my porygon2 and heatran to cover for that. Using scizor early in the game when my opponent doesnt know all of my pokesmon is HUGE. If i know they are going to switch i can u turn out to an approprite counter (usually porygon2 or heatran).

The Threat Down!!!!!!!!!!!

Aerodactyl- If it Taunts i was gonna attack anyway if it Sr's its dead and if it Eq's ill live and kill it.
Alakazam- People still use this thing? Scizor can come in on pyschic and pursuit it
Azelf- Sometimes i keep Infernape in and hope it SR's sometimes i switch to scizor or celebi
Blissey- i laugh at it use it as set up bait for suicune
Breloom- If i save Infernape i let it go to sleep send in scizor to break the sub with u turn and send in Celebi on the focus punch and use hp-fire
Bronzong- If its a lead Infernape handles it no problem if not heatran
Celebi- Heatran
Cresselia- Same as celebi if it cms to much ill send in scizor who can nail it with pursuit or BP depending on health
Dragonite- Hit it hard on whatever it comes in on and send in heatran to end it with Dragon Pulse
Dusknoir- Suicune
Electivire- If I know its on the team wont thunderbolt gyarados with porygon2 ill toxic instead and switch to celebi on the cross chop.
Empoleon- Hit it hard When it comes in then switch to celebi
Flygon- scizor or heatran
Forretress- Heatran on Infernape
Gengar- Heatran if its not sarfed or suicune if its not locked into T-Bolt
Gliscor- Suicune.
Gyarados- Porygon2
Heatran- comes in on scizor most of the time and fireblasts so i use my heatran or porygon2
Heracross- Infernape or Heatran
Hippowdon- Infernape can OHKO with grass knot so can celebi
Infernape- If its a lead my infernape will kill with HP-Water if not heatran outspeeds ond OHKO with earth power
Jirachi- If its a lead Infernape hits it hard with flamethrower possible OHKO if it doesnt OHKO it tricks normally so i can kill it with flamethrower if it doesnt switch
Jolteon- Porygon2 can trace Volt Absorb and lol if its specd if not scizor can hurt it.
Kingdra- Celebi can t-wave and then grass knot or if there is no rain tran does well.
Latias- Heatran or scizor
Lucario- Suicune
Machamp- Dynamic Punch confusion is the worst. bt if i get lucky Suicune can beat it
Magnezone- normally comes in on heatran on scizor when they're locked into BP or Dragon Pulse if that does happen theres nothing i can do. bt they do weaken in enough so that if Magnezone isnt specd Porygon2 can come in trace magnet pull and beat
Mamoswine- Suicune.
Metagross- If its a lead infernape beats it if its an agil gross suicune does pretty well
Ninjask- its normally a lead so i let it sub and protect until its down to 1 hp then scizor comes in and bullet punches it so i lol
Porygon-Z- suicune Infernape or scizor
Rhyperior- Suicune
Rotom- I dont see these on wifi just on shoddy...
Salamence- porygon2
Scizor- Heatran
Skarmory- Infernape or heatran
Smeargle- you cant counter this thing but infernape to eat spore then scizor can bullet punch
Snorlax- scizor nails it with super power
Starmie- i can use it as set up bait for suicune celebi beats it
Suicune- i can go suicune vs suicune wich is always fun or celebi
Swampert- infernape if its a lead celebi if not
Tentacruel- celebi with grass knot
Togekiss- i hate this thing. but i can use it as set up bait for suicune
Tyranitar- If its a lead infernape with grass knot if not celebi with grass knot
Umbreon- suicune no problem
Vaporeon- Porygon 2 traces water absorb and then lols
Weavile- heatran on scizor
Zapdos- Heatran.

Infernape: HP Water is NOT NECESSARY at all. Close Combat is a solid stab move and still is a total beast damagewise even with minimal stat investment. You don't need max speed, so put some into attack. The HP EVs should go into attack too.
This lead hits everysingle one of those leads for supereffective damage barring ninjask and azelf
Fire Blast hits Azelf.

This team also suffers from a lack somewhat of variety. Suicune only has one attack, and two things are choiced. You might want to explain why you chose this particular Celebi. Porygon2 isn't a great counter for Vaporeon, especially since most, which coming into Suicune, will either Substitute or Toxic. Either way, Porygon2 won't be as useful that way.

Your descriptions are lacking in general.

Hi there, and welcome to Smogon! :)

On your lead Infernape set, you are going to want Fake Out in place of one of your moves, as it breaks the opposing pokemon's Focus Sash. Plus, you're going to want a Focus Sash yourself, as Infernape isnt exactly the spitting image of a pokemon that can take hits.

I somewhat agree with what ARandomDude is saying in that your pokemon lack variety, but Suicune especially. By the way, the set that youre currently using is called Crocune. But that set is walled by so many things (namely Celebi, Vaporeon, and Gyarados). Here is a better set, a more offensive variant:

Suicune @ Life Orb / Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 Hp / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid nature (+Speed, -Attack)
or
Modest nature (+Special Attack, -Attack)
~ Calm Mind
~ Surf / Hydro Pump
~ Ice Beam
~ Hidden Power Electric

Suicune functions well as a tank, but an often overlooked role it can play is offensive; not only does it have the element of surprise, it can sweep easily enough with decent Speed, a high base 90 Special Attack, and almost impeccable coverage with Surf, Ice Beam, and Hidden Power Electric.

After a single Calm Mind, Suicune can become a powerful sweeper given its superb Special Attack and wide coverage of its move set. Surf is generic STAB. However, Hydro Pump can be used for the higher base power, although the low PP and reduced accuracy is disappointing. Finally, the combination of Ice Beam and Hidden Power Electric gives a pseudo-BoltBeam and with Surf hits everything in the game for at least neutral damage, bar Shedinja and Lanturn. Most Suicune carry either Surf and Ice Beam or Surf and Hidden Power Electric which leaves quite a few Pokemon able to wall Suicune and set themselves up. However, when all three of these moves are utilized, a solid counter, outside of Blissey, is hard to come by. For example, after a Calm Mind, Timid Suicune with Life Orb can do 41% - 49% to 188 HP / 0 SpD Bold Vaporeon and can 2HKO 100% of the time if Modest.

The given EVs are common for a special sweeper. However, if a bulkier Suicune is desired, Leftovers can be used over Life Orb with an EV spread of 172 HP / 120 SpA / 216 Spe with a Timid nature. Timid and 216 Speed EVs let Suicune outrun all Pokemon with base 80 Speed and below.
As with all Life Orbers, switching in on powerful attacks is not advisable, due to Suicune whittling away 10% of its HP every turn it attacks; with Sandstorm and entry hazards, this Suicune's main problem is that it dies too fast. Wishers such as Latias and Blissey are again useful here, and Scizor becomes even more useful, especially as the main counter to this set is Blissey. Most things which switch in on CB U-turn—Gyarados, defensive Zapdos, Heatran, and other Steel-types—will switch out of Suicune, giving it a free Calm Mind. If defensive Zapdos chooses not to switch, Suicune can take it out with Ice Beam. The only Zapdos both Suicune and Scizor have problems with is Timid Life Orb. However, Leftovers becomes an option if you find the recoil from Life Orb unattractive.

Although Suicune is by no means slow, it lacks the raw Speed most sweepers have, so it helps to take those out either with another sweeper or on a predicted switch. Knowledge of the opponent's team is essential, so scouting with U-turners (again, Scizor or Flygon help here) is a useful accompanying strategy.

Anyway, good luck! :)

thanks for the help guys. i really like the suicune i dont really want to change it. but i dont think that suicune is the problem i think the celebi needs to be changed any suggestions? also the infernape was fail. im definatly gonan change it to the set ARandomdude suggested hopefully it will work better.

i think having only one physical attacker (scizor) can be somewhat debilitating, even though you seem to be sold on crocune taking blissey out.
why not drop celebi and add a DD-mence? you still get a pokemon that sets up, you lose the pursuit/scarftran/CBtrio (aerial ace) weakness and you get a hard hitter:

DD-Mence @ Life Orb
Naughty Nature
-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
-Outrage
-Fire Blast

Alright, let's see what I can do to make this team sexier. Firstly, as the above posters have already stated, your Infernape lead is rather ineffective. Hidden Power Water has no use at all on Infernape as it does not give it any coverage that other moves such as Grass Knot or Close Combat would. Infernape is an excellent lead to use, just not with your set. Infernape makes for a good Stealth Rock user that is capable of beating many common leads. Since your team lacks Stealth Rock, it would be a good idea to make Infernape the Stealth Rock user on your team as Stealth Rock is an excellent way to keep threats such as Salamence and Gyarados in check. In addition, without Close Combat, you'll have a harder time against Pokemon like Snorlax, Blissey, Heatran, etc.

So without any further delay, here is the set I suggest you use: Fake Out, Close Combat, Fire Blast, Stealth Rock, 64 Atk / 252 SpA / 192 Spe, Naive, Focus Sash. Being able to break sashes with Fake Out, Close Combat Heatran leads, and a powerful Fire Blast to take on leads such as Metagross or Jirachi. Infernape is a suicide lead, meaning its Focus Sash will be activated early in the game. With the sash activated, Blaze activates, giving Fire Blast ridiculous power and can cause painful switches early in the game. On Scizor, use 248 HP/ 252 Attack / 8 Spe. It may not look to different from your current set but it sure is! If you want to know why its better, take a look at this Basically, Scizor will have an easier time switching-in when Stealth Rock is in play and will have more HP then if you were using 252 HP. An option you have over Fake Out is Grass Knot. This will allow Infernape to defeat lead Swampert's and hit various other Water-types for decent damage.

Also, on your threat list, you say your answer to Kingdra is Heatran. Keep in mind that Heatran loses to Kingdra when Rain Dance is in play as it will outspeed and KO with Waterfall. Rain teams in general can give this team some trouble. This is where a Defensive Celebi would come in handly over your current Calm Mind version. celebi can Thunder Wave the fast sweepers under Rain making it much harder for them to sweep. Celebi is also rather effective against Rain Teams due to it carrying Grass Knot which hits Rain sweepers such as kabutops super effectively and Kingdra for decent damage. Now, you mention having trouble against Gyarados and Suicune. You have A set of Grass Knot/Thunder Wave/ Hidden Power Fire/ Recover should suffice. Thunder Wave will slow down Pokemon such as Heatran and Infernape, both of which love coming in on Celebi. With Pokemon crippled by paralysis, your Suicune will have a bit of an easier time setting up Calm Mind's against paralyzed Pokemon.
