Overview

The idea with this team is to use Swampert to eliminate their lead and then lay down Stealth Rocks. Then use BlissSkarm combo to lay down Spikes and spam Paralysis across their team, this will allow for a sweep from Heatran and Salamence in the late game. Scizor is there to lure fire attacks for Heatran and also to provide the standard Revenge Killer.

The Specifics

swampert.png

Swampert @ Leftovers
Torrent
Relaxed
252 HP/ 252 Defence/ 4 Attack
Stealth Rock
Earthquake
Ice Beam
Surf

Pretty much the standard Swampert set off the StrategyDex, basically it attempts to eliminate the other lead and set up its own Stealth Rocks. It also serves as a pretty decent wall due to its excellent typing and defences. Due to its one weakness it is a great lure for Celebi and any other Grass type. This allows me to switch into Scizor and either U-Turn or Pursuit Celebi. It also provides a semi-check for Salamence later as it is able to survive +1 Outrage at max HP. This allows me to easily kill it with Ice Beam which will OHKO even without the EV investment.

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Keen Eye
Impish
252 HP/ 64 Attack/ 176 Defence/ 56 Speed
Spikes
Roost
Brave Bird
Whirlwind

The Physical wall of the Skarmory/Blissey Combination. I like to use Skarmory and Blissey as early as possible, draining PP and wearing down Life Orb users while taking very little damage. Skarmory does his part very well, he adds Spikes to the Stealth Rocks that are usually already there. He can then Roost back to full health increase his longetivity and Brave Bird to cause damage to anything that hangs around. In the last moveslot I choose Whirlwind to force even more switches causing damage from the Spikes and SR that have been set up. Late game he also adds as a good counter to any Salamence not carrying a fire move, as he is able to simple whirlwind it away removing any of its boosts, especially if he comes in on an EQ.

blissey.png

Blissey @ Leftovers
Natural Cure
Bold
252 HP/ 252 Defence/ 4 Speed
Seismic Toss
Thunder Wave
Flamethrower
Softboiled

The perfect partner for Skarmory, sponges the special attacks at it and then hits whatever switches in with Paralysis to limit its sweeping abilities late game. Anything that stays in can be worn down with Seismic Toss/Flamethrower which is very useful for taking down Steel Types such as Bronzong. Softboiled is fairly obvious as it allows Blissey to heal off any entry hazard damage and any attacks it takes.

485.png

Heatran @ Leftovers
Flash Fire
Timid
252 Special Attack/ 252 Speed/ 4 Special Defence
Substitute
Fire Blast
Earth Power
Explosion

A not so common Heatran set, I originally used Scarftran but that was very easily predicted and countered by other Heatrans who loved the free Flash Fire boost and then countered with Earth power or another move. This Heatran can come in on Grass types aimed at Swampert or Ice Types aimed at Salamence and then on the switch use Substitute. Once behind this substitute it can easily take down its counter and then wreak havoc on the other team. Another great benefit of having Heatran is its great synergy with Salamence, it takes Dragon Moves and Ice Moves with ease and will usually be able to set up on the pokemon that was threatening Salamence.

salamence.png

Salamence @ Life Orb
Naive
Intimidate
240 Special Attack/ 16 Attack/ 252 Speed
Draco Meteor
Fire Blast
Outrage
Earthquake

New MixMance, a beast that every team should really have a check for, this thing can rip right through teams as it has the moves to take out both Special Walls and Physical Walls. I usually save Salamence for the late game as the team will be thwart with Paralysis and damage from Spikes and SR allowing for Salamance to just about OHKO most of the enemy team. As mentioned above has really nice Synergy with Heatran.

scizor.png

Scizor @ Choice Band
Adamant
Technician
248 HP/ 252 Attack/ 8 Speed
U-Turn
Pursuit
Superpower
Bullet Punch

The ultimate revenge killer, he pretty much shreds apart anything that doesn't resist Bullet Punch and easily takes down the Celebi that Swampert loves to lure with Pursuit and any other Grass Type with U-Turn. Superpower is for Blissey and Snorlax although the later is far more uncommon. I think everyone knows what this guy does and why he is pretty much on most teams.

Anyway that is the team, I am open to any suggestions as I am new to competitive battling and you are probably far more experienced. Also I know most of this is straight from the strategy Dex but they are tried Sets and as a new player I feel I will learn better this way. Although feel free to suggest any set that may work better on this team.

First Check,Your Team Is Very Weak Too Mixape.I Would Recommend You To Use ScarfTran Over The Heatran That You Are Using. Why?To Revenge Kill Mixape And Also Scizor's Counters. Also,I Would Recommend Celebi > Blissey Since It Can Be a Cleric And Also T-wave Ur Opponents. It Also Does Attracts Fire Moves Which Is Good For Heatran. It Will Be a CeleTran Combo.

Use This For Celebi

Celebi @ Leftovers
252 HP / 220 Def / 36 Spe
Bold
~ Psychic / Grass Knot
~ Recover/ Thunder Wave
~ Heal Bell
~ Leech Seed

my biggest qualm with this team, is the lack of a ghost-type to block rapid spin, which results in your stealth rock and spikes becoming useless. i was trying to decide who to replace and i think on this team, heatran is kind of dead weight, as he can't deal with bulky waters, ice is rarely going to be used by itself making that synergy useless (not to mention scizor can handle it) and swampert could handle the odd rock attack thats faster than mence thrown at it.

i'd say using scarf gengar or sub/3 attacks leftovers gengar would be your best bet, over heatran, as scizor isn't a huge concern to this team a nice sweeper could come in handy for further weakening the opponent for mixmence. i think i enjoy scarfgar more on this team to really shut down rapid spin, as even if its hit by starmie, it should still have a good shot at surviving and koing with shadow ball. he also gives a really good revenge killer to ddmence who could cause trouble, as well as dd gyarados who honestly, might be your biggest concern. so i would advocate scarfgar, but would say try both of them out.

other than that, there isn't much i would change - good luck.

I am quite liking this team.
Swampert- Good to see a lead that someone has planned on surviving! I can't believe how many suicide leads I have seen, it's pretty standard, simple, effective should do well.
Skarmory- not much to say, it's standard, although i don't know what those speed EVs are for, you are unlikely to outspeed a lot and you don't really need to.
Blissey- Still standard, thunder wave is sometimes taken away for toxic, but i don't see that it makes too much difference, I also never really saw the need for flamethrower and always preffered to have wish in there to heal others, but it must work well, and i don't have enough experience with it to tell you to change it really, if it works keep it, but you could always experiment with wish.
Heatran- You are going to get told to put a scarf on it. Don't. With sub you don't need one because you can take a ground hit once the sub is up. I like the subtran, and it can be lethal, a pokemon that constantly forces switches, do remember that heatran counters itself, so if you even sniff another heatran jsut hit earth power, the sub gives you an almost free turn anyway.
Salamence- Completely standard, I have nothing to say except maybe put some EVs into attack or speed, you have written attack twice... Basically go for somthing like 192 Sp Att/ 60 Att/ 252 Speed. Really surprised nobody picked up on the Attack written twice bit but oh well...
Scizor- also standard, I actually have nothing to say at all

Overall the only real problem I see with your team is it's predictability, which is fine as long as you can play with the fact that people will know what you are likely to do. Other than that it looks like a really good team, Good Luck with it

Hope I've helped

@Infernape I will re-test the team with Scarftran, although Salamence and Swampert and both pretty effective at checking Infernape. As usually they do not run both Stone Edge and Grass Knot, however I can see what you're saying with it so I will definitely re-rest it.

@KD Heatran is pretty essential to the team so I wouldn't swap him out. Although I could go with a specially defensive Dusknoir to over Blissey to sponge special attacks and Spam Will-O-Wisps at the opponent as well as Spin Blocking. I will try him out as well.

Thanks for the feedback.
