My first try at team - Baton Pass

Ninjask (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Speed Boost
EVs: 248 HP / 236 Def / 24 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Baton Pass
- Protect
- Substitute
- Swords Dance

Ninjask lead, does ok, seems to lose to cloyster lead :( help! Cloyster is OP and i don't think I have a way to counter a Cloyster lead on my team... He even beats up blissey or skarm. When things flow well, sub, SD, SD/Protect (depending on if sub is broken) chain and then baton pass to Terra - Late game used to add more speed to starmie and even to reuni or skarm depending on when/where.... Has utility, does die pretty fast, when it works, I can sweep strong, but there are quite a few things I lose to. Dragonite/Swampert/ other roar/dragon-tail/whirlwind and entry hazard leads also can mess up my whole chain and be annoying. How can I counter that on my team? I usually just hope to hit a toxic or a starmie or a whirlwind to stop their chain and then hope to pull a sweep out of my butt somewhere to try and win. Thanks for all your input!!!!

Reuniclus (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Recover
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Calm Mind

Wanted flexibility with secondary sweeper, Calm minded with recover does lead to a sweep eventually, so can be used for late game. I am thinking of doing some speeding for some revenge kills, but otherwise he fills his role ok. He is definitely an expendable member of the team for right now, but he does well against toxic users like blissey and ferrothorn, with fighting moves to match.

Terrakion @ Life Orb
Trait: Justified
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- X-Scissor
- Substitute

The beast, Mainly because he kills T-Tar, snorlax, and many others, am still learning which switch-ins to be afraid of... But other than that, he is the bread and butter of the team. The only fear is of a predicted baton pass, but usually even still with so much support from ninjask + his beastly mode already can = fast sweep. No reliable recovery means he either sweeps their entire team or dies trying, but usually he will get through a few of the other team before dying.

Skarmory (M) @ Shed Shell
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Whirlwind
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Spikes
The physical wall, love beating up the anti-terrakion and reuniclos to have him just set up and whirlwind/roost away. Brave bird has been placed in there as my team is susceptible to taunt from ninjask and blissey, didn't want skarm to die the same way too haha.

Blissey (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Softboiled
- Toxic
- Wish
Standard Tank/Wish support. Wish is pretty key for switch ins, toxic to out-wall other walls, and flamethrower to just offer type coverage support for team. Somehow people still get surprised by flamethrower blissey, sending in skarm to try and set up or something laughable. Great build, and fits in with aggressive style a bit as a breather.

Starmie @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Surf
Revenge killer extraordinary. Am considering a Choice Scarf use to outspeed everyone else. Manoswine and other Priority move users can be annoying, and Starmie is fast, but weak, so semi-expendable. But I still love starmie. Especially the surprise oh yea, ninjask is still around, stall for just speed and give to starmie. (who doesn't need dragon dance) lots of fun! I find myself rarely rapid-spinning, maybe only on a lucky roar into starmie, but otherwise, I leave the entry hazards up and just go all out attack, and I win these usually.

The things that give my team problems - Late game T-Tar after they countered my sweeps, (Unless skarm is fully healthy, then I have a fighting shot). Stall teams (Glyscor) and annoy teams can be harmful. Breloom goes down pretty easy, thanks to surprise flamethrower blissey, but the glyscors, Jirachis, and others beat me up slowly but surely. Wobbuffet can be an annoying revenge switch in, usually just a 1 hit on him as he encores and I am forced to switch out to say blissey who can survive an encore, hopefully. I am often out-offensed by Scizor or Gengars if I can't get some speed boosts onto Terrakion. Anything else I am missing, please help. I like this team, it's pretty OP and self-explanatory. Pretty much a Rock/Paper/Scissor team, win some lose some. But, I wanted to see if anyone sees where I can improve it... Replacables are probably skarm, Starm, and Reu- But I do have much love for all 3.

Also, more Phazing (I only have skarm) to fight subs, and a heal bell maybe somewhere on the team would be nice, to fight major status teams, Haze doesn't seem to be an issue, but I have been swept, of course by some calm minds and some cloysters (especially cloysters are annoying... Kind of maybe why I am thinking scarf starmie...)

PS - this was the first team I ever made, did edit a few moves after some plays... but this is my first team ever so don't flame me if I've missed a lot of big things... Also I make dumb mistakes about typing too lol. I've never actually beaten the game of pokemon yet either hahaha.

I'm also thinking of replacing skarm with Infernape... what you think?

You can try a focus sash to try and prolong Ninjask's longevity.

Try getting a Pokemon with a priority fighting move if lead Clyoster really scares you that much.

Or better yet, don't lead with Ninjask. Lead with something that can pack a big punch like Metagross. He's got bullet punch, so you've got your priority move. You can use Ninjask later, granted theres no entry hazards.

focus sash would not work on the multi-hits that bypass the substitute for ninjask.. I don't think that's the answer.

I've been just switching to skarm for cloyster and whirlwinding right away. Seems ok, I do like the ninjask lead, as this way it won't take the 50% damage from stealth rocks, if that is the opponent's opening move, I feel ninjask's a bit of a waste if he isn't a lead, as he is too frail to switch in to most things, and he's definitely no revenge killer. I may just re-make this team. But I've been playing it so far, and it is a lot of fun.

I am considering replacing reuniclus tho, any suggestions?
