Hey guys, this would be my first attemp at the UU tear and competitive pokemon overall. Because I'm so inexperienced I would like your opinions and advices so I can improve my team.
Steelix @ Steelixite
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Def
Careful Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Heavy Slam
- Toxic
So my usual lead would be my Steelix so I can set up rocks as soon as possible and it'll maybe force some switches. Max Evs on health and special defence would make it hard to kill so I can probably get some damage with Earthquake and Heavy Slam. This is my defensive wall.
Goodra @ Leftovers
Ability: Hydration
Evs: 240 HP / 252 SpD / 16 Spe
Calm Nature
- Rain Dance
- Rest
- Dragon Pulse
- Thunder
This Goodra set I think it's pretty fun to use. I like a lot the Hydration, Rain Dance and Rest combo because it gives my Goodra a good way to sustain itself. Dragon Pulse would be it's Stab as I prefer it over Draco Meteor and Thunder to abuse the Rain Dance it already set up. This is my special wall.
Starmie @ Expert Belt
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Spe / 4 SpA
Timid Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Scald
- Psyshock
- Recover
The main objective of my Starmie is obviously is to take the hazards away from my field. Scald as its main Stab and to maybe get a burn (also the rain set up by my Goodra will make it pretty powerful) and psyshock so I can hit special walls hard.
Dusknoir @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 212 HP / 252 Att / 44 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Shadow Sneak
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit
- Earthquake
This is my attacking Dusknoir. Having two priorities move will help a lot with its bad speed. Pursuit is so I can pursuit trap physic types and get damage from switches. Earthquake is just to hit hard anything (except for flying types) but is the move I'm more doubtful about.
Diance @ Pixie Plate
Ability: Clear Body
Evs: 252 HP / 200 SpA / 56 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Moonblast
- Diamond Storm
- Hidden Power Fire
- Protect
My Diance would be my main special threat. Moonblast and Diamond Storm are good and strong stabs and hidden power fire it to cover plant and steel types. Protect is just to scout the opposition moveset.
Infernape @ Firium Z
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Att / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Jolly Nature
- Sword Dance
- Flare Blitz
- Mach Punch
- Close Combat
Infernape is one of my favorite mons in UU and in is my big hitting sweeper. A good priority in Mach Punch and two really big and hard hitting moves in Flare Blitz and Close Combat makes it a real threat. Sword Dance is for setting up and Firium Z to ko big threats and bulky pokemons I found.
So that's pretty much my team. I hope you like it. I think it's pretty balance but as I said before I'm pretty new in this so I need help :). I think I'm missing a good pivot but please let me know all your opinions and insights of my team and UU tear. Sorry if I had some spelling mistakes and thanks in advance.
