Hi guys, It's been a looong time since I posted an RMT and the first time I've made a UU Rmt. The inspiration for this team is that I saw the special lucario set and kind of fell in love at first sight, so I decided to make a bulky offense with the intent of him sweeping. However since I'm still kind of new to UU I would like to get some educated advice from the long time UU players because I really love this tier (OU sucks now) and would like to make this team as competitive as possible. So far It's done pretty well getting me to around 1450 or so on the ladder, and it kind of peaked, due to me not being the best UU player and possibly the team needing some tweaks, so I decided to bring it here for the great advice you guys give. Anyways that's enough talking, let's get into the team!
Lucario:
So here's the star of the show, focal point, whatever you want to call it. This set is like a ticking time bomb waiting to destroy defensive or balanced teams. At +2 from nasty plot it goes to insane power levels being able to 2hko solid resists even. The only really "solid" switch in to this beast is Chandelure, but with rocks flash cannon has a chance to OHKO at +2 it's insane. The moveset is pretty standard with nasty plot double stab and priority in vacuum wave. The only things that stop this from destroying every team is its meh speed stat, and that it needs a safe switch in. Overall, an amazing pokemon in this tier.
Lucario @ Life Orb
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Aura Sphere
- Vacuum Wave
- Flash Cannon
Slowking:
So I wanted a solid defensive backbone that could switch into stuff because that's the style I play in general. Knowing that that Lucario is weak to faster pokemon that come in and revenge kill it, I wanted something that could sponge up hits and come in multiple times. I finally decided on this because I've used it's bro many times before in OU and it was a staple on many of my teams. This guy switches into so much of the meta bar grass or electric types, eats up a hit and either sets up or spams scald. The other thing this guy does is break stall and more importantly beats crocune 1v1 which is invaluable. Not only that, but this added another wincon against bulkier teams which can be really good in the match up.
Slowking @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Slack Off
- Scald
- Psyshock
Florges:
I needed something that could help deal with the strong electric and grass types that can eat Slowking alive so I decided on the fattest special wall I could find. It's really a match made in heaven because Florges can also heal status which also prevent slowbro from setting up, and switching in to much in general. The wish pass from this can also be incredibly strong for the fat pokemon on this team that don't have reliable recovery of their own. Protect is to scout out scarfers or just sets in general. I mean, it's just a standard florges set.
Florges @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 SpD
Bold Nature
- Wish
- Aromatherapy
- Protect
- Moonblast
Machamp:
So noticing that my team was weak to big fat special walls, I needed something that could break them down. I decided on AV Machamp because its really hard to get rid of unless you have a crobat or aerodactyl, and it hits with incredible power with it's nearly 400 attack and good fighting stab. Often the opponent knows the dynamic punch is coming, but doesn't really have an answer to stop it, plus they always have to fear the knock off on the switch as well. It also lures in fairies and just bops them with the heavy slam on the switch which causes a lot of rage quits. This thing just puts in work punching holes in opposing teams while soaking up special attacks like nobody's business.
Machamp @ Assault Vest
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Def
Adamant Nature
- Dynamic Punch
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off
- Heavy Slam
Swampert:
I needed a solid stealth rock setter, and also needed a Mega so i decided to try out the mega that I was most excited for at the beginning of oras, but was impossible to use in OU due to rain not really being that viable. But in UU it's bulk and unique typing make it a monster. This thing hit's like a mack truck with no brakes, and also sponges up multiple hits before finally dying. Also with a great movepool it has basically perfect coverage with water ground and ice. Great pokemon in general because of it's ability to break walls and be a wall.
Swampert @ Swampertite
Ability: Damp
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
Crobat:
Needing a solid pivot, and something that could defog, the natural choice was crobat. This thing is honestly on like 50% of the UU meta and for good reason. Great typing, decent bulk, super fast, there isn't really a reason not to use this guy. Access to u turn and defog just make this the perfect utility mon for almost any balance/BO team and this is no exception really. Overall just a solid pokemon in the tier.
Crobat @ Black Sludge
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 248 HP / 48 Def / 212 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- U-turn
- Brave Bird
That's all for the Team! once again all suggestions will be welcomed and tested!

As I mentioned before this team was inspired by the special lucario set that really caught my eye for some reason.
Then I wanted to have a solid backbone because HO just doesn't really seem to work in UU nor do I really like to play it, so I decided on Slowking+Florges because it checks a good portion of the meta, especially things that can revenge kill lucario.
Then I noticed that fat special walls were going to be a problem for this team because I had no physical presence, so I added a machamp because it's a fantastic AV user that can really smack everything.
So at this point I was really happy with how the team was shaping up, but it lacked a vital component, which was rocks and I also had an open mega slot so I decided to try out Mega-Pert here.
Lastly I needed a defogger and just a good offensive pivot, so I went with one of my favorites in crobat.
