Greetings folks and thanks for coming by my Team Thread. I am hopeful that you will be able to share some input and offer some suggestions that may help propel my team to greater heights. After feeling the OU has become infested with Weather Teams with or without some form of Volt-Turn, I decided to give UU and go, and am having much more fun than I ever had with OU. After a little bit of time in the UU bracket, this is the team that I have been rolling with so far, with some success.

Kamen Rider Kiva

Bisharp @ Leftovers
Trait: Defiant
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk -SpA)
- Swords Dance
- Substitute
- Sucker Punch
- Brick Break

My Physical Sweeper and what inspired me to create this Team. If given the chance to set up, Bisharp can prove to be extremely troublesome at the best of times, with very little being able to scare it away without him leaving something of a large dent in an opponents Pokemon. Swords Dance is the go to boosting move for Bisharp. Substitute will allow it to get some insurance before either Swords Dancing or simply getting a Brick Break down, furthermore, it acts as a Safeguard against enemy Will-o-Wisps and what not. Sucker Punch and Brick Break gives it the coverage it needs to execute the sweep.

The Physical Defender

Hitmontop @ Leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature (+Def -SpA)
- Foresight
- Toxic
- Rapid Spin
- Close Combat

This is my go to Pokemon for when i'm being faced down by a Physical Threat. Switch in and smack him with an Intimidate before shrugging off whatever damage it may have taken. Foresight and Rapid Spin allow me to blow away entry hazards, even against Ghosts that would normally block such attempts. Toxic will help whittle down Walls quicker or those Pokemon that would attempt to set up such as Raikou. Close Combat is the pure attacking move of choice.

The Utility and Spin Blocker

Froslass @ Focus Sash
Trait: Snow Cloak
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Timid Nature (+Spe -Atk)
- Destiny Bond
- Spikes
- Taunt
- Ice Beam

This is one of my Hazard Setters and actually can do a lot for the team, and once it's about to expire, can possibly take an opposing Pokemon with it using Destiny Bond. This is normally who ends up leading the charge in battle. Focus Sash is there to help it take any attack without worry, and possibly lead it into Destiny Bond soon after if I so chose. Taunt helps immensely against common leads such as Mew and Deoxys-D, leaving them without their Utility Moves, and allowing me free reign to use my own. Ice Beam gives it a very powerful attack to use against such pokemon as Gligar and Flygon, as well as leaving a respectable dent in anything else that doesn't resist or wall it. If the opponent has a Rapid Spinner, then i'll normally play more conservatively with Froslass, as I will need to call upon her to ensure my entry hazards stick.

The Revenge Killer

Flygon @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Adamant Nature (+Atk -SpA)
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Stone Edge
- U-Turn

Flygon, as well as being my revenge killer, also serves a very unique purpose. To completely Annihilate Raikou, who previously, has been the bane of my Team. Now with proper planning ahead that is no longer an issue as Flygon will outspeed and threaten a OHKO with Earthquake. Being Scarfed and base 100 Speed also allows it to outpace most other Pokemon who opt to don the Scarf themselves. It's moveset gives it maximum type spread and U-Turn to help pace myself offensively if anticipating a switch from the opponent.

The Special Attacker

Zapdos @ Life Orb
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Timid Nature (+Spe -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Heat Wave
- Hidden Power (Grass)
- Roost

Zapdos is the Pokemon I call upon when Special Attacks are needed. Thunderbolt and Heat Wave are more or less a given on this set, as is Roost, which allows me to recover off any damage I may have taken from the opponent or my own Life Orb. Hidden Power Grass is where things take a slightly different turn, since I have two Ice attack users, it seemed a bit redundant to have a third on ol' Zapdos especially when Grass can take out some of it's normal switch-in's such as Swampert or Rhyperior. So it serves as a variety within the attacks I have at my disposal overall as well as a punishing move for those who would switch in thinking it'd put me on the back-foot.

The Special Defender and Phazer

Empoleon @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Def
Calm Nature (+SpD -Atk)
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
- Scald
- Ice Beam

And lastly we come to Empoleon. My Special Defence Pokemon, setter of Stealth Rocks, and Phazer. Empoleon is capable of taking many Special Attacks before coming back with either one of it's own, Stealth Rock setting, or in the cases of Pokemon such as Raikou or Suicune a phaze out with roar. Scald can distribute burns as well as being it's primary attack, whilst Ice Beam will give it a little more to work with as far offence goes. Empoleon is very unique in that it won't need to worry about Toxic which can be very advantageous, since many players will try and counter my Hitmontop with Toxic, making switching Empoleon a great way to get a free switch in and then work it's magic.

And there you have it. That's my team as it stands so far. I'm looking into whatever way I can to improve it and make it the best it can possibly be. Which would help greatly since then I can focus on my own gameplay. Again, I thank you for your time.

It looks pretty balanced, its just, apart from Bisharp having Sucker Punch, Deoxys - D and Cresselia can wall this team pretty effortlessly, that is if Bisharp isnt available persay. It looks good though, if youd mind, Id like to play you on Smogon on Pokemon Online, my PO username is the same as it is on the forums.

Deoxys-D and Cresselia are kind of odd. There'll be some moments where I can play around it perfectly. But other times, not so much, and as you say they can end up walling me pretty well making life rather difficult. It seems to depend how I play with Froslass and, to an extent, Hitmontop (as landing that Toxic can often be the dealbreaker).
