VGC My First VGC Team

Hello! This is my first VGC Team for VGC 2015. I appreciate you reading this, and please give me any suggestions you may have.

Gengar @ Gengarite
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Protect
- Will-O-Wisp
- Destiny Bond
- Sludge Wave

The only Mega I am using on this team is Mega Gengar. For maximum speed, I decided to go with Timid. Especially since Gengar only has one offensive move. Protect is an important thing for all fragile Pokemon in VGC. Gives a free move to my other Pokemon since my opponent usually wants to get rid of the Shadow Tag. Will-O-Wisp shuts down most other physical threats like Kangaskan, Salamence, and Metagross. Destiny Bond is a last resort for when Gengar can no longer hold his wieght. Sludge Wave is an amazing move that can hit both opponents. Works well with the two steel Pokemon I have on my team.

Bisharp @ Lum Berry
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Quick Guard
- Protect
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit

Bisharp is meant to go with nearly any Pokemon on my team. Having Defiant helps against Intimidates on Landorus and Salamence, and has even worked against Icy Winds on Gengar and Thundurus. Lum Berry gets rid on any burns or sleeps. Quick Guard allows protection against Prankster and Sucker Punches against Gengar. Protect for obvious reasons. Sucker Punch to get rid of threats quickly. And Pursuit for when my Gengar dies and my opponent attempts to switch.

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Superpower
- U-turn
- Knock Off

Landorus-T is the typical Landorus-T set. It is meant to come in, outspeed and do tons of damage to the opponents, switch out using U-Turn, or Knock Off Aegislash or other ghosts or psychic types that will hate a dark move; it can also use it to get rid of pesky items. Earthquake is for powerful STAB when Landorus is paired with Salamence of Thundurus. Superpower is for Kangaskan and any ice or dark Pokemon that would not like to take a super-effective attack.

Salamence @ Choice Specs
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Pulse
- Fire Blast (or maybe Flamethrower?)
- Hydro Pump

Choice Specs Salamence since I already used my Choice Scarf. With max speed and very good special attack with the Choice Specs it can do tons of neutral or super-effective damage. Draco Meteor can do massive damage to all those whom do not resist Dragon-type. Dragon Pulse and Hydro Pump are for super-effective hits. Fire Blast is also for super-effective hits, though I am not sure if I should replace it with Flamethrower for more accuracy.

Heatran @ Assault Vest
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Modest Nature
- Flamethrower
- Flash Cannon
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Heatran is here to work well with Gengar and shoot out insanely powerful special attacks. Max special attack for the greatest power and max HP for greatest defense. Assault Vest can help resist special attacks even greater than before. Flamethrower and Flash Cannon for STAB and coverage. Earth Power to destroy all the Steel-types and Fire-types. Hidden Power [Ice] is for the many Dragons and Landoruses.

Thundurus (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Taunt
- Thunder Wave
- Swagger

Thundurus is here to take care of any status users and harm any fast or powerful Pokemon. Thunderbolt to help with damage-doing. Priority Taunt can destroy the status users like mentioned before. Priority Thunder Wave to slow down some fast threats. And then there is Swagger, a move the can gamble with an opponent's power; it even does better when that Pokemon is paralyzed.

Thanks for reading! :)
