Now this team isn't out there to win any prizes for being the most competitively strong, but I enjoy using it and I was just wondering if anyone would be able to point out some tips without making the team vastly different (ie like changing half of the lineup)
Kecleon (Lefties)
God knows what EVs i put in here but basically the stats that matter:
HP: 324
Atk: 216
Def: 232
Sp Def: 296
Relaxed
Fake out - Counter - Magic coat - Twave
This guy's point is to basically do as many things as possible as a lead and possible supporter. Fake out obviously lets me get rid of any nasty focus sashes going around, and later on in the game can often get a KO if something is on low health. Counter is there for obvious reasons - the kecleon is surprisingly bulky and most strong physical things without a boost need to 2KO it. Magic coat is obvious for throwing back hypnosis and toxic and the like. Thunderwave is not used too much, due to my unwillingness to let him get on low health, but it is useful for hitting sweepers in on the switch or if counter has been sussed and people are gonna setup on me
Dragonite (Choice Scarf)
Naughty
252 Atk
252 Speed
Dclaw - EQ - Thunderpunch - Fire blast
I love this dragonite. His main purpose is to hit fast fragile things for heavy damage such as Ape, Alakazam, Gengar whatever. The element of surprise obviously wears off pretty quickly but it really works. Claw + EQ are obvious. Tpunch i added because of my fear of gyrados - this team really doesnt like them too much. Tpunch makes a nice OHKO. Fire blast included for predicting switchin to forre, skarmory those sorts of things.
Yanmega (Focus Sash)
Modest
252 SpA
252 Spd
Protect - Hypnosis - Bug Buzz - Air slash
Not sure what there is to explain here, its pretty obvious
Forretress (Lefties)
Relaxed
252 HP
252 Def
(I think, can't quite remember)
Explosion - Spikes - Rapid spin - Gyro ball
The only purpose on this team for him is to blow away those stealth rocks that give Nite, Shuckle and especially yanmega such horrible trouble. The rest is just what I chose that works. Spikes is nice for setting up when i have nothing else to do, gyro ball works well with the 76 speed and can do some pretty hefty damage. Explosion for when his purpose is finally over. Plus I just like exploding stuff.
Shuckle (Lefties)
Relaxed (Again lolol)
252 HP
252 SpD
Toxic - Encore - SR - Knock off
Shuckle is my absolute favourite pokemon. Anyway, he completes where forre started with the arena hazard, and if i can get all these set up the choice scarf dragonite can really run rampant with the usually neutral Dclaw and yanmega can deal out some damage too. This guy is also great for taking on people A) Walling B)Setting up due to encore, nobody expects shuckle to be a threat so start doing moves that cant hurt the rest of the team upon switching. Toxic is there to bring down annoying walls in a way. Knock off very useful for if say there is a choice scarfer or the like wreaking some havoc. Really useful bug this one. Plus it helps that half the people i battle don't seem to have a clue what its weaknesses are..
Electivire (Life orb)
Mild
Forgot the EVs but:
Atk: 317
SpA: 301
Spd: 270
Tbolt - Ice punch - EQ - Cross chop
A mixed vire, I like using it. The kinda low attack stats really warrant the use of the Life Orb on this set, plus it helps if I can switch in on a thunderbolt going for yanmega or whatever (protect helps predict that too). The mixed set is really useful for when people think its a good idea to bring in a physical wall to take me on, but this thing also really benefits from the arena hazards being set up by the other dudes to take the strain off the attack stats. But i needed a mix sweeper, and I didn't want to use ape so here he is.
Comments thoughts? Thanks :)
