My Little Keldeo ~ OU Team

This team is just random team made by me, with the Excellent help off of Half-life and when I used it, it actually worked quite well. Most of these guys cover each others weakness' and each have their own strengths, so I thought I would share it with you.

647.gif

Keldeo @ Choice Scarf
Nature: Modest
Trait: Justified
EVS: 252 Sp.Atk/252 Spe/4 Sp.Def
Moves: Hydro Pump, Icy Wind, Secret Sword, HP Electric?

Now, this guy is who I based my team off of. Also, he is a monster with that Scarf, which all of you are familiar with. All of his weaknesses are covered, he outspeeds alot of threats, and is the MVP of this team. He is my late-game sweeper, and I like to keep him alive with Wish; alot.

Landorus-Therian @Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
Trait:Intimidate
Evs: 252 HP/ 44 Atk/ 212 Def.
Moves: U-Turn, Stealth Rocks, Stone Edge, Earthquake

I never actually undertsood why I didn't take this guy before, he is an awesome SR set-upper, he is great as killing Ninetails, Victini, Charizard, dragonite and can handle Shedinja very well. He is really bulky, and can destroy Celebi with one U-Turn to the face. Just pure awesomeness here. ^-^

286.gif

Breloom @Life Orb
Nature: Jolly
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 Spe/252Atk/4 HP
Moves: Bullet Seed, Mach Punch, Spore, Low Sweep

This guy is a pure star. First match with him, he sweeped after Jachi got some Parahax on his mons, combined with Spikes and Rocks damage, this guy is good to go. Spore leaves them crippled, and lets me get a nice hit on whatever comes in. He can handle alot of things, Scizor and Celebi are quite the problems though.
205.gif

Forretress @Leftovers
Nature: Relaxed
Trait: Sturdy
IVS: 0 Speed
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 Sp.Atk
Moves: Gyro Ball, Spikes, Rapid Spin, Volt Switch

Well, Forretress has been quite the guy, he is my hazard setter, and my spinner, I used him so I didn't have to sacrifice two pokemon, when one does the job quite enough. He is my lead, and will always get Rocks set-up, and if I'm lucky, Spikes as well. He is not the best attacker, but Volt Switch can do that odd bit of damage, at the oddest times.

065.gif

Alakazam @Focus Sash
Nature: Timid
Trait: Magic Guard
EVS: 252 Sp.Atk/252 Spe/4 HP
Moves: Encore, Focus Blast, Psyshock, Shadow Ball

Now, Alakazam is the most common, and Magic Guard is the reason why. I don't know how many times he has saved me if Forretress can't spin the hazards away. He has really good coverage against most things, and can tackle the pesky Brelooms and Keldeo's. The reason I run Encore is; if someone trys to set-up on me, I encore them, and 9/10 times, they have to switch to something, where I can get a free hit; this has been very useful.

Jirachi @Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP/ 224 Sp.Def/ 32 Spe
Moves: Body Slam, Fire Punch, Iron Head, Wish

Now Jirachi isn't as bad as I actually thought he would be. He is a monster at getting the precious status', and he walls Alakazam very nicely. Wish, now I put that there incase of emergency, say he has para-hax'd something, He can safely Wish to something that can kill that Pokemon, without taking damage. Fire Punch is amazing for stuff like Garchomp, Dragonite or even Ferrothorn, making the physical hits hurt much less; which helps alot.

Thanks for reading my RMT, please post any thoughts, and I will make sure to take any advice as possible! Thanks!

Psychics and Grass-types left uncountered by Keldeo.
I`d recommend HP Ghost or HP Bug on it, so it takes on Grass-types and Psychic-types.

I also recommend Wish -> Fire Punch for recovery on Jirachi.

Heehee, well obviously Keldeo won't be taking on Grass and Psychic types, if there is a Grass type, I will switch into Jirachi, and if Psychic type; Umbreon.
Well, I was thinking about HP Ghost, but I need something to take on Waters, and Bird types, so I could kill them with an ease, but I will consider Ghost and Bug.
I think I wanna keep Fire Punch personally, I have wish on Umbreon, but I understand where you are coming on. I will probably switch something like U-Turn for it in the future, but I'd rather to hit Celebi with ease whilst keeping some resistances. I will consider it! Thanks for the rate! ^-^

I can see why you want Keldeo safe, and want to hit other water-/flying-types with.
And you totally shouldn`t trade in U-Turn. It is your only way out from trappers. And because of the uprising of Celebi...
U-Turn on Jirachi has won me alot of battles.
but keep in mind, i am a noob too

Hi welcome to smogon. Ima noob helping a noob. But I think my advice is solid.

Umbreon serves as a special wall however it's states are not enough to fulfill this role in ou as reliably as jirachi due to his better resistances and better moves. I reccomend using a specially defensive rachi which can perform admirably on your team using body slam to cripple switch ins.

Gliscor is a good Pokemon, however, your team is not able to help it much. A good replacement would be Landorus t. He can take hits better than gliscor, and also hits harder. He also sets up strealth rocks taking pressure off your forretress so it can carry a move like gyro ball or hp ice. U turn will help control offensive momentum

Lastly, to take the place of umbreon I reccomend a strong physical attacker in Breloom. Although he shares weaknesses with other members of your team, he checks troublesome water types for you while being a menace with spore. He also gives you priority, taking some of the revenge killing dutiy pressure off Keldeo

Speaking of revenge killing, change alakazam a nature to timid. He needs the speed to outpace base 108s.

Good start to smogon man!

Here are the sets
Jirachi @ leftovers
Nature: calm
Trait: serene grace
Evs: 252hp/220spD/32 Spe
Moves: body slam, iron head, wish, protect/fire punch/ u turn

Landorus-therian @ leftovers
Nature: adamant
Trait: intimidate
Evs: 252 Hp/ 44 Atk/ 212 def
Moves: stealth rock, u turn, earthquake, stone edge

Breloom @ life orb
Nature: jolly
Trait: technician
Evs: 4 Hp/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spe
Moves: spore, Mach punch, bullet seed, low sweep.

Thanks for the help! I really appreciate it, I will go add those pokemon right now, test them, then report back to you on how they turn out!

@ w1nd1n6s Celebi is quite covered with U-Turn from Jachi, and gastrodon can easily be handled by the new Breloom. ^-^

OK, my team has been updated with the newly arrived Breloom, and landorus-T! Thanks so much Half-Life! :D

Hello, decent team you have there.

Some pointers:
Alakazam should really be running HP Ice over Encore to be able to revenge kill boosted Dragons, which your team has trouble with when Ferro is down and Keldeo is low enough to be OHKO'd (which happens to often be the case when people attempt an Outrage sweep). It's a matter of preference though, Focus Sash Zam doesn't appreciate forced switches as much as LO Zam as you aren't really going to smash something hard or set up a sub.

Jirachi should be Careful instead of Adamant. You'd appreciate the large boost to bulk more than a minuscule attack boost. Also, the optimal EV spread on Jirachi is 252 HP / 236 SpD/ 20 Spe to outspend neutral base 70s, which is the spread I recommend unless you're trying to outspeed something significant (I highly doubt it does). Fire Punch also isn't worth it for the mediocre 20% Proc rate of burn. Run Protect to keep Jirachi up given his importance as a defensive pivot on your team or U-turn to allow momentum shifts when predicting Physical Ground/Heatran switches.

Move the SpA EVs on Forre to Atk. His main damaging move is Gyro Ball, so why invest in SpA?

Sun teams are a full-stop to Keldeo. You may want to run Rain Dance somewhere for a surprise weather change after your opponent throws away Ninetales. Put it on Jirachi over Protect/U-turn if you do.

Yeah, Sun teams where being quite the pain, I will probably put Rain Dance on Jachi in place of Fire Punch, and I will take those EV suggestions. :D Thank you for the rate!
