My Mostly UU Team RMT

Introduction
First off, This is my first post in the Smogon Forums, so please bare with me if I make a mistake with describing my team. I will try my best not to screw up. Oh, and just an FYI, I know there are better Pokemon out there, but these are my favorite Pokemon, and I like winning with my favs. Okay, here goes.

In Depth View and Explanation

HITMONLEE
Hitmonlee.gif

Adamant Nature
Item: Varies, Usually Liechi Berry or Wide Lens
Ability: Limber
Moves:
Close Combat
Sucker Punch
Blaze Kick
Earthquake
EVs: 255 Att, 255 Spd

Contribution:
I basically try to use my Hitmonlee as an early game sweeper, and usually it works pretty well. Sucker Punch is a priority move, and it is basically the most important move on the set. It usually takes care of any Psychic Pokemon that try to confront it, like Alakazam. It also takes out Gengar pretty well also. Close Combat is obviously for STAB, with 180 base power, that can knock a pretty decent dent in a Pokemon. Blaze Kick is those pesky Ninjasks and Shedninja, they are a common contender. And Earthquake is to take care of Metagross, can OH-KO or get it in the Red.

ABSOL

Adamant Nature
Item:
Focus Sash
Ability: Super Luck
Moves:
Sucker Punch
Swords Dance
Thunder Wave
Stone Edge
EVs: 255 Att, 255 Spd

Contribution:
My Absol is also another Sweeper. I use Swords Dance to double its Attack, and then I unleash devastating hits with a STAB boosted Sucker Punch. Sucker Punch moves first, so it makes up for low speed. I use Thunder Wave to paralyze a threat to my team, like Heatran, Skarmory and Weavile to cut they're speed and they have 50% Chance of being unable to move. At that time I would switch to a pokemon that can eliminate the threat.

ESPEON
196_3.png

Modest Nature
Item:
Wise Glasses
Ability: Synchronize
Moves:
Psychic
Shadow Ball
Hidden Power Bug
Quick Attack
EVs: 255 Sp. Att, 255 Spd

Contribution:
I use my Espeon as a Sp. Atk Sweeper that I can use against Pokemon that have high Physical Defense, but low Special Defense like Steelix or Rypherior. Psychic STAB is to pick off weak contenders, Shadow Ball for those annoying Gengars, Hidden Power Bug for Dark type Pokemon that cross my path, like Weavile, and Quick Attack to finish off Focus Banders.

Marowak
Marowak.png

Brave Nature
Item:
Thick Club
Ability: Rock Head
Moves:
Ice Punch
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Double Edge
EVs: 255 Att, 255 Def

Contribution:
I use my Marowak as a revenge killer most often, if my Hitmonlee gets taken out by pesky Garchomp or Gligar. For those that don't know, Thick Club grants a Marowak or Cubone with double they're Attack, making them the pokemon with the highest Attack Stat. I also use him as a Trick Room switch in, because mine is especially slow. His Defense can absorb an attack from a non - Swords Danced Garchomp, and retaliates with an Ice Punch. thats mostly why my Marowak is on my team.

NINJASK
2911.png

Jolly Nature
Item:
Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
Moves:
Protect
Substitute
Swords Dance
Baton Pass
EVs: 255 Spd, 255 Att

Contribution:
This Ninjask is my obvious Baton Passer. Since my team can be rather slow, I use this Ninjask to boost speed mainly, and when I can I will boost attack as well. Protect is to stall for a Speed Boost, Same thing as Substitute.

Tyranitar
Tyranitar.png

Adamant Nature
Item:
Life Orb or Muscle Band (Muscle Band usually)
Ability: Sand Stream
Moves:
Ice Punch
Rock Slide
Brick Break
Crunch
EVs: 255 Att, 200 Spd, 55 Def

Contribution:
This Tyranitar is usually my late game Sweeper, because of the ability Sand Stream. this Tyranitar is usually combined with the efforts of my Ninjask, boosting Speed and Attack. The Moves are practically last resort moves, I tried to cover as many types as possible.

Now that you know how I use my team, are there any suggestions? Oh, and can you please tell me where I screwed up in the whole explanation if any? Thank you very much guys.

You need to work on your EV spreads a bit.
I see a lot of wasted EVs in he 255/255 splits, since you get 6 extra (1 stat point) for each of those.
That's one extra stat point per pokemon.
Also why Brave on the Marrowak if you don't use Trick Room. Adamant's better for the extra speed.
Sash on Jask is killed by your own T-tar, and the omnipresent Stealth Rock (you don't use a spinner).
Hitmonlee isn't a lead with that set, really.
Also your threats mentioned are kind of weird as Garchomp is Uber, and some of the others mentioned barely see the light of day in OU.
HP Bug is silly on Espeon since Signal Beam would be better, and HP fighting gives perfect coverage with shadow ball. Focus Band users aren't that common anyway, so your Quick Attack isn't that smart, since it won't do much due to Espeon's low physical attack.

I like your team, but here are a few things that could help out.

As the above poster stated, 252 is the max amount of EVs that will make a difference, so you can free up a few extra EVs to use elsewhere on each of your pokes.

I like the Ninjask + Marowak combination, but having Ninjask as anything but a lead without a rapid spinner is asking for trouble. It will lose half of its health upon switching in if your opponent has stealth rock up. And even if there are no entry hazards in play, you still have to be careful not to bring in your Tyranitar before bringing in your Ninjask or your focus sash will be worthless. Speaking of the focus sash, having both a sash and substitute is counter-productive. If you'd like to keep substitute, you should drop the sash in favor of leftovers. If you'd like to keep the sash, you should drop substitue in favor of x-scissor or aerial ace. One easy way to remedy most of this is to simply make Ninjask your lead. That way, you don't have to worry about stealth rock and you still have all of your baton pass options alive and healthy. Besides, your Hitmonlee isn't really well suited to be a lead.

For your Espeon, I'd recommend a life orb instead of wise glasses. Tyranitar is bulky enough to pull off muscle band, but Espeon's a different story. Espy isn't going to hang around too long anyway, so she doesn't mind the recoil. Plus it could turn a lot of 2HKOs into OHKOs. Choice Specs/Choice Scarf is also a doable option.

One more suggestion I would make is to either replace Tyranitar or replace some of your other pokes to make better use of his sandstream. As it stands, Marowak is the only one that benefits from the sand, but if you baton pass to him before bringing in Tar, it's unlikely he'll get to see that benefit. And as previously stated, bringing in Tar before Ninjask is probably a bad idea.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and if you plan on baton passing speed to your Marowak, you should increase his speed EVs. And change his nature to adamant. Because even with two speed boosts, Marowak's speed with a brave nature and no speed EVs would only hit a measly 226. And even with an adamant nature, 252 is what you'll get from two boosts. Conversely, if you put 252 EVs into speed with an adamant nature, you can get 378 speed with those same two boosts, enough to outrun and beat down a wide variety of targets. And if you'd still like to keep the bulkiness, you can go half way and cut a little off the speed to dump into either HP or defense. Either way, you'd benefit greatly from some speed investment on Marowak.

Ah, I guess I didn't make it clear that my Marowak is mostly there incase Trick Room is used against me, but making it an adamant nature can work also. I'll try fixing my Ev's, makes me sad that I have to get new Pokemon to do so. Thank you for your Rating!

The reason why I include Garchomp is because I would usually use 3 of the six in a Wi-Fi Battle Challenge, and it is a common Contender. The computer likes to make you fight pokemon that are strong against your team type wise. And Oh, I didn't know I could teach it signal beam, thanks! I will probably add that soon. And out of my own extremely biased opinion, Im gonna have to disagree about my Hitmonlee, but its duely noted. =] And to clear up the Tyranitar Issue, I use my Tyranitar last no matter what. Thank you very much for your rate!
