My new competitive team

Okie doke, This is an attempt at a team for Shoddy

94.png

Gengar(M) @ Wide Lens
Ability: Levitate
EV's: 252 SpAtk 252 Spe 4 Hp
Nature: Timid (+Spe -Atk)
Moves:
~Hypnosis
~Focus Blast
~Shadow Ball
~Thunderbolt

I have to say, I have used many different leads, but Gengar is my all time favorite.Automaticly incapacitating a pokemon with Hypnosis. After that,He can use that monster special attack to take down quite a few OU threats(Gyarados,Blissey,Tyranitar etc. etc.)Plus he has alot of chances of getting a free switch, due to 3 immunities.

Swampert(M) @ Leftovers
Ability:Torrent
EV's: 240 Hp 252 Def 16 Atk
Nature:Relaxed (+Def -Spe)
Moves:
~Stealth Rock
~Roar
~Avalanche
~Earthquake

Swampert is my favorite Water pokemon. He can set up Stealth Rock for my team. Also he acts as my PHazer with Roar.A Relaxed nature so Avalanche is hitting at max most of the time.EQ is a nice STAB

Togekiss(M) @ Leftovers
Ability:Serene Grace
EV's: 252 Hp 152 SpAtk 104 Spe
Nature: Modest (+SpAtk -Atk)
Moves:
~Roost
~Thunderwave
~Air Slash
~Aura Sphere

It was a hard choice getting rid of Nasty plot for Aura Sphere, but i think it will all turn out well.He can switch into many walls or Special Attackers. It's kinda obvious what he does.T-wave on the first turn, then let the Flinching begin with Air Slash. Roost off any damage done. Aura Sphere is for anything that resists Air slash

Lucario(M) @ Life Orb
Abiltity:Inner Focus
EV's: 252 Atk 252 Spe 4 Def
Nature: Adamant (+Atk - SpAtk)
Moves:
~Swords Dance
~Close Combat
~ExtremeSpeed
~Crunch

Whaddya know, it's SDLuke. Life Orb makes all of my moves pack an extra punch.Swords Dance on the switch, then wreck havoc with CC.XtremeSpeed is there for pokemon I dont Outspeed.Crunch severly dents Cressy and noir and i beleive OHKO's Celebi

Dragonite(M) @ Yache Berry
Ability: Inner focus
EV's: 56 Hp 252 Atk 200 Spe
Nature: Adament (+Atk -Spe)
Moves:
~Dragon Dance
~Outrage
~Fire Punch
~EarthQuake

Seeing as though this is going on suspect ladder, dnite is my choice over Salamence any day. This cutie loves to come out late game after steels are gone, that way he can rampage through teams with a DD outrage.fire punch is for any steels i didn't clear out. EQ is for extra coverage

488.png

Cresselia(F) @ Leftovers
Ability:Levitate
EV's: 252 Hp 148 Def 108 SpDef
Nature:Bold (+Def -Atk)
Moves:
~Ice Beam
~Charge Beam
~Rest
~Sleep Talk

This team needed a little more SpDef, so i went with ol' Cressy.Ice Beam and charge beam for the BoltBeam effect.Rest talk is a more viable way of healing than moonlight because the popular SS abusers.

There it is, comment on my weaknesses, my strengths or anything in between :)

This team is NOT fearing EarthQuake =p

You are slightly Gengar weak, SpecsGar to be specific. Cress is 2HKO'd by Specs Shadow Ball, Dragonite can't switch in, since it will be 2HKO'd by HP Ice regardless. You're Gengar can't take a Specs Shadow Ball, and Togekiss is 2HKO'd by Specs Thunderbolt. Swampert seems like your only saving grace, but sadly, that won't be of much use.

I'd consider Bullet Punch > Extremespeed on Lucario, sure, you limit some sweeping potential, but you are able to kill a lot more things easily. Gengar is OHKO'd by Swords Dance Bullet Punch, as is Mismagius, another threat (though Swampert CAN Roar it away)

Another option is to Scarf your Gengar, since nothing on your team really revenge kills well.

This team is NOT fearing EarthQuake =p

It IS fearing Gengar :p

You do know Avalanch has -3 Priority, meaning it will always go last except when your oppenet uses a lower priority move.

Thanks for the tips, i will change ES for bullet punch. I'm considering a ScarfGar.

I didn't know that acutaly,houndoom dude.
