Hello Smogon community,
This is a team I've been messing around with and testing for quite some time now and I have to say I found it to work very nicely. I'm open to suggestions and any tips to improve. Basically it comprises of a lead, a physical wall, a special wall, a physical attacker, a special sweeper and a physical sweeper so let's get started.
Bronzong: Lead Pokemon
Adamant nature/ Heatproof/ Light Clay/ 252 hp/120 attack/85 defense/53 sp defense
Light screen/reflect/stealth rocks/earthquake
Ok, my reasoning behind Bronzong is I honestly like have screens up. I feel they are an underused tactic that can really help lower damage. Earthquake is there because no one ever expects a dual screens stealth rocking Bronzong to have earthquake. Since Bronzong isn't part of my defensive core I felt it would be best to have the adamant nature to boost it's attack stat. Heatproof is just there because again, no one expects it.
Umbreon: Sp defensive Pokemon
Careful nature/ Synchronize/ leftovers/ 252 hp/252 Sp defense/ 4 attack
Yawn/Foul Play/ Wish/ Protect
Umbreon, one of the best walls in the UU tier. I toyed with the idea of having Registeel as my special wall but Umbreon works so well with my defensive wall that it just didn't feel right. The set is pretty standard. The wish/protect combo that annoys everyone, the foul play for some damage and yawn to force switches.
Dusclops: Defensive Pokemon
Bold nature/Pressure/Eviolite/252 hp/252 defense/4 sp defense
Seismic Toss/Pain Split/Will-O-Wisp *Toxie*/Substitute
Dusclops, I wonder why no one ever seems to use you. I found from personal experience that the Dusclops/Umbreon wall combo is perhaps the best in UU. Not only does Dusclops have an amazing 394 defense but with eviolite and pain split for recovery it can tank any physical threat. Will-O-Wisp can also be changed for toxie.
Mienshao: Physical Attacker
Jolly nature/Reckless/Flying Gem/252 attack/252 speed/4 hp
Hi Jump Kick/Acrobatics/Stone Edge/ U Turn
Yes, that's right, I'm using a flying gem Mienshao. Why you might ask? Because Most Mienshaos now are banded, scarfed or E-belt and who wants to be like everyone else right? Meinshao is one of the best physical attackers in the UU tier and can tear through almost any wall. *Beside ghost*
Yanmega: Special Sweeper
Modest nature/Speed Boost/Leftovers/252 sp attack/150 hp/108 speed
Bug Buzz/Air Slash/Giga Drain/Substitute
Yanmega, one of the mot underused UU Sweepers. Just because it has a glaring flaw to stealth rocks doesn't mean it's a terrible Pokemon. Get a few speed boosts and you can easily flinch your opponent to death with air slash or buzz annoyingly in their ear with bug buzz. Honestly the main reason I chose Yanmega over Sharpedo is because I had no special attackers and I wanted a speed boost special sweeper and again because no one ever uses her.
Krookodile: Physical Sweeper
Jolly nature/Moxie/Choice Scarf/252 Attack/252 speed
Outrage/Earthquake/Foul Play/Brick Break
Once again the main reason why I chose Krookodile as my physical moxie sweeper instead of Heracross or Honchkrow is because it is underused and it's resistance to stealth rocks. Yanmega had such a weakness to rocks I felt it was best to have moxie sweeper take 6% to Heracross's 12 or Honchkrow's 25.
Any tips, advice, complements, remarks comments would all be appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Cheers,
