This right here is my team I haven't had any wi fi battle yet. Just been around withs some friends. However, it;s been a good functioning team so far. It's my first fully trained team with vs and everything. I've gone 0-6 a couple times so I know theres room for improvement.
Ninjask:Jolly nature w/ Focus Sash
Protect
Sword dance
X-Scissors
Baton Pass
Pretty standard. The focus sash allows me for he one sword dance and speed boost thats needed for the sweep. Most time it doesn't work as there are now to many hazers/roar users. He's specially necessary as my lead because I have no spinners on my team and stealth rock takes half it's hp. Basically it's just an attempt to sweep if anything I usually get one good hit on the opponent w/ the sash.
Snorlax Sashy Nature w/ lum berry
Body slam
Crunch
Rest
Ice Beam
I don't like blissey so this is my best attempt at a special wall. I like it better because it also dishes some serious damage w/ stabbed body slam. I use it to take all the pokemon with weak defenses, and also gets A LOT of paralysis with body slam so it slows down a lot the pokemon that try to sweep it. Crunch is there for the obvious ghosts. Rest is of course to absue it's high hp, and to make a complete heal. However, the lum berry is thre now for that annoying dusknoir, it gets 2HKO with crunch, and it's first move is always will o wisp, a free kill basically. Ice beam is completly out of place, although it does 1HKO any of the dragons it leaves some serius damage on them and is completely unexpected. Garchomp is the most common thing they send out against snorlax so I think it's good, although it's out of place. I don't encounter too many special sweepers so i usually send it out just for kicks, I'm considering putting curse in for ice beam or rest, but I don't like setting up and physical sweepers usually don't give me the time anyways.
Tangrowth Impish nature w/ left overs
Knock Off
Leech Seed
Sleep powder
Power Whip
This is the actual tank that I use, it's the pokemon that I switch in and out the most. It basically stays outside until I need it to wall something and then it just sets them up for my own sweeper, usually and aerodactyl combo. The fact that I send it out a lot and need it to survive multiple opponents makes leftovers essential. If it's up against someone who it can take I set them up w/ knock off, leech seed, or sleep powder, or soem random combination. When I sleep them most people swict, for this reason I have considered running stun spore as well. That way I could cripple two opponents, but I think all of its current 4 moves are necessary any suggestions. Power whip is just there for stab and so that it has an actual attack, but since it's too valuable I don't keep it in any longer then it has to. Believe me it is a very good wall ignoring its grass typing/
Aerodactyl: Adamant Nature w/ choice band
Crunch
Ice Fang
Thunder Fang
Rock Slide
I restarted my pokemon ruby in order to search for a new EQ tm which I'm planning on substituting for one of its moves. Ice fang and crunch are its 2 most used moves. Thunder fang and rock slide both take out flying, but thunder fang KO's gyarados but rock slide gets stab for anything that I can't get super effective on. Any suggestions as to which to eliminate? anyways my strategy with this guy is simply to take out one or two of my opponents main threats. Usually I just send it out and have it KO whatever, if I can preserve it I usually put them to sleep w/ tangrowth and switch him in for a KO. However this guy cannot take hits at all, it dies real quick.
Alakazam Not natured or eve tarined. w/ life orb
Grass Knot
Physich
Focus Blast
Recover
Recover= useless. Any suggestions?
Same as aerodactyl except its special. this guy is not trained so any suggestiosn for a better special sweeper. Has decent coverage and can hit pretty hard, can't take hits at all tough.
Shedinja Focus Sash, not nature or ev trained
Toxic
Confuse ray
Protect
Will O Wisp
Simple hit and run poekmon. It is good with the status problems. If anything gives that support, and when I time it right it can be pretty annoying.
So any suggestions for my team?
