My NU team, First RMT

The intro: I pretty much came here to get some hardcore critiquing done on my team and I know this is the place to go. I've tested it all the way up to 1200~ ranking and have troubles with certain move sets like encore on poliwrath or taunt on just about anyone. At the same time though with a little working around those counters I can sometimes pull it together with this team. (Like any team I am sure) I made this team basically just to set up dusknoir or klinklang. Anyway here it is. Sorry about the lack of pictures. I am not 100% sure what the rules on those are.

Klinklang @ Life Orb
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 100 HP / 156 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Gear Grind
- Shift Gear
- Wild Charge
- Substitute

I decided to use Klinklang cause of his ability to completely sweep the other team if he gets a few Shift Gears set up. It almost doesn't matter if the pokemon is resistant Gear Grind is GG and still smokes em for a decent amount. I like to bring him up when I get my walls up with uxie or at least a stealth rock. The only trouble with him is sometimes it is hard to get him switched in and set up because of the prominence of fire in any league. Pretty standerd IV spread and nature. Life Orb just adds that extra attack.

Ditto @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Imposter
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
Relaxed Nature
- Transform

I used Ditto cause... well Ditto is the man and imposter is just amazing for any pokemon you may have let set up. Also as I am sure you all know it helps you peak in to your opponents move sets of pokemon you aren't sure about. It is a nice little niche. Bringing him in with choice scarf makes him attack faster than the opponent you copied and can usually let him take down whoever you switched in too. He is nice to bring in after Uxie or Phione if I accidentally let a set up get through. Traditional IV spread and nature.

Phione @ Damp Rock
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 Spd
Bold Nature
- Rain Dance (Damp Rock)
- Rest
- Toxic
- U-turn

Phione, annoying to say the least. Fun to bring out after a uxie set up for spreading around toxic and creating switches in to the stealth rock. Can be easily taken down being water and being in Rain but U-turn is there for security purposes and some people like to use Phione to set up on. Which is where Ditto comes in nicely. IV spread is gonna get changed and is changed on my other PC. Went a little more in to speed to get out if I am being walled.

Uxie @ Light Clay
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 100 Def / 100 SDef / 252 HP / 56 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn

Uxie is my set up for Reflect, Light Screen (Light Clay) and sometimes SR. With both walls up or down Uxie can take a blow. U-turn is there for security. I did my own EV's on this pokemon to be able to take on anything that gets switched out on it and be able to guarantee some sort of set up and maybe even a U-turn out in to one of my sweeps. I went in to speed nature for some of those slow pokemon that are gonna taunt me or encore, which puts an end to that set up quick. (one of my main problems)

Typhlosion @ Choice Specs
Ability: Blaze
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Eruption
- Fire Blast
- Extrasensory
- Hidden Power [Rock]

This is your pretty standard Typhlosion, choice specs to hit hard as possible and Timid nature for that extra speed. Basic IVS. He can out speed a LOT of the NU competitors and if you can switch him out without any damage sometimes you can get away with sweeping the whole team with 100% life Eruption. I have Extrasensory and HR rock on him for some extra coverage and Fire Blast for those moments you are gonna take a hit and Fire Blasts damage becomes greater than Eruption.

Dusknoir @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Power-Up Punch
- Shadow Sneak
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake

My last, my favorite... Dusknoir! This guy has completely saved my butt countless times. He can wall a lot of the NU line-up, even against super effective types. With uxies walls up, he can get a few Power-up Punches and get a nice little set up going and begin to sweep. Earthquake is amazing coverage on him paired with Ice Punch. Shadow sneak is for those clutch kills. His IVs are just in stats I figured he would benefit from most and his nature is to compliment that decent attack he has. Investing on bulk with him seems pointless. Leftovers of course for those nice little moments you survive with 1 health.
COUNTERS

This team has a few of them but not a lot. Depending if this RMT thread makes it through the inspection or not. Then will I start posting counters/weaknesses

Hi! Im not that experienced in NU however I will say all of my thoughts. First of all, this team is kinda nice but it has no real purpose, and the specific members do not necesarrily work with each other. For example, Phione is awful with Typhlosion because he sets up rain so Typhlosion cant hit as hard (just a more extreme example)!
In terms of movesets, I would suggest switching Substitute on Klingklang for a third attacking move to give you better coverage, as it seems like Substitute is just a filler on him (let me know if it is for any reason in particular!). Also, you have a physical wall with Phione but the lack of any real Special Bulk (specifically) might be an issue against sweepers like Vivillion who seems to be on every team I see (including my own)! U-turn on Uxie seems like an odd choice as it will never deal much damage so it will often be almost as good to just plain switch. I'm not sure about his movepool, but a nice status move like T-Wave or Taunt would be good, Taunt especially if he can learn it. Finally, even though both would be used to good effect, Fire Blast and Eruption always seems less useful for coverage than Focus Blast over one of them.

Sorry that its so long, and as I said at the start, I am not that experience so i might have been stupid with some criticisms. An all in all great team though despite a few weak spots.

post the specific issues your team faces anyway? that's how you help people make rates for your team

there's just odd elements that are thrown in and aren't necessary. screens on uxie don't work well with things like dusknoir and phione since they aren't dealing heavy damage immediately or at all and therefore aren't going to utilize those limited turns that well. dusknoir is also a mediocre pokemon because it seems strong but the lack of a reliably strong ghost-type move keeps it from doing much to other bulky pokemon that can hurt it

you want a defog user to support typhlosion so that it stays at good hp. instead of dusknoir, a mixed shiftry with defog / knock off / sucker punch / leaf storm will give you that support and offensive presence in one. instead of phione, you should try a different water-type—either one that pushes your team in an offensive direction or one that actually supports your team instead of idling around when toxic is the only source of damage coming from it. try lum berry feraligatr with swords dance / waterfall / aqua jet / crunch or return, or a lanturn with volt switch / scald / toxic or thunder wave / heal bell. the latter is especially nice if you dislike electric-types and volt switch since shiftry is rather frail despite resisting it, but the former is a good win condition and alternative source of priority

klinklang wants to hit things like seismitoad and lanturn at least neutrally so that feraligatr and typhlosion have an easier time later, so use return over substitute. likewise, typhlosion wants hidden power grass over hidden power rock so that it can hit rock- and water-types hard; it also needs the 4 hp evs moved to a defense stat. uxie can support your team better by using stealth rock / psychic / thunder wave / knock off or u-turn. it should also be using a timid nature with 248 hp / 84 def / 176 spe which may seem weird, but it's your only reasonable way to handle sawk as you're 2HKO'd by knock off and being slower won't help
