My NU Team

Introduction
I have been lurking around NU for awhile and have decided to finally post my team here on Smogon.

Electrode (Boom!)
I chose this pokemon because I wanted a fast lead that could taunt on the first turn and could explode. I also wanted a lead that was a pure type and was NU. Electrode is the fastest pokemon in NU so I decided to use it as my lead.

Mawile(Tetanus)
I chose this pokemon because I wanted a pure steel type that could baton pass Defense and Attack. I also chose this pokemon because it could cause havoc in teams once I set up. It also has a pretty good ability in Intimidate.

Kangaskhan (Kanga)

Cherrim (CHERRY)
I chose this pokemon because I wanted a pokemon that was pure Grass type. I also wanted a pokemon with a decent Speed and Special Attack stat. I also chose this pokemon because of it ability Flower Gift. I also chose this pokemon because after Sunny Day it opens up and looks really cool.

Conclusion
I posted this team so I can get a feel for what the people hear on Smogon think of my team. I have tried this team out and I have won over 50% of the time. Suggestions would be helpful. Thanks for looking at my team and please comment and rate!

...I give up...
Where have you been playing? How many battles have you had? Is that figure true in the slightest? And why, for the love of all that is holy, do have a delibird, let alone a no attack delibird with a choice scarf?! Have you learned nothing from our last two rates?
This is my disclaimer to all who read this: This is not an example of the average NU team. This is a gimmick team without the gimmick.
please read the articles at the site in my sig, dude, and actually learn which pokemon (and moves) are viable in NU play. Actually, start with smogon's intro to competitive pokemon. I can't enforce this, but please don't post another NU team at least until you understand that Return is a "multiple TM" that makes all other normal moves inferior.

Oh, geez... Okay here we go:

Leftovers = pointless on Electrode with Explosion. Switch it to Focus Sash or Light Clay.

What on earth is Choice Scarf doing on a Delibird with no attack moves?! That makes it completely and utterly useless, especially with Toxic, Attract, AND Protect on there. Change it to Leftovers, or something. This one is a disaster, quite honestly.

Mawile looks OK, but you're gonna have a very hard time passing anything, even after Endure. One Fire Blast/ EQ and that thing is gone without any aid to your team.

Sucker Punch isn't doing a whole lot for you on Kangaskhan. I would replace it with Earthquake. Also, I would replace Mega Punch with a different type move. Both it and Dizzy Punch on the same set won't get you anywhere great.

Cherrim looks pretty solid, at least on paper. But there are a lot of fast Fire-type sweepers in NU, and Sunny Day only helps them in taking out Cherrim. I would replace Grasswhistle with either Protect or Substitute. It looks like you just stuck this one randomly onto the team.

Granbull looks good. This is the one pokemon on your team I don't have any complaints about.

Overall, the team isn't great. Or good, even. At all. It lacks synergy and the move/item choices on most of your team are pretty ridiculous. Sorry if it hurts to read it, but you need to really revamp a lot of this team if you want to go ANYWHERE with them.

First of all, your Mawile has no point in passing the boost with no sweeper. That is what you need. A sweeper from NU. And I think your Cherim is takes too long to set up. And I think you should build off Electrode's best use: Rain Dancer Lead. It will help you make a team based on that. So Amphardos is a good anything.. it has lots of SpA. and it can wall and be your backup rain. also Articuno is a good option if you decide to make a team... I should make one just to beat you with it :P really. I guess you can keep some of the things you want.

Umm lurk moar. But in all seriousness, what I wanted to say has been said by hitmon64. You have great team-building resources at your disposal, and your team simply doesn't have any sensical threads.

One thing I would like to say completely in the spirit of rating(unlike last post, which was more like career advice) is that twave->smellingsalt gives smellingsalt the same power as if you simply attacked twice. 60BP(first turn)+60BP(second turn)=0BP(first turn)+120BP(second turn) normally the opponent would also be paralyzed, which may make it a consideration, but you heal the paralysis anyway, so 2 returns are better in every way. Also, it is a general preference that you sweeper is not walled by ghosts, so while making Smelling Salt Return, make Twave Crunch. Protect is still good on Torb sweepers, and just for scouting, so by all means keep that, or you could consider changing it to earthquake, for coverage on electrics. (I think 310 speed outspeeds modest manetric...) From there you have fairly nice coverage and a pretty dangerous sweeper.

Your team is very Fire and Fighting weak which are two pretty common types in the NU metagame.

Fire could kill Delibird, Mawile and Cherrim; while Fighting takes care of Mawile, Kangaskhan and Granbul; and you have no ways to defend either of them.

the obvious advice would be to get rid of Delibird he isnt good at all. Id pick up a Charizard but really all and all your entire team might need a revamp.

Also I think Ursaring is better in every way when it comes to sweeping with Quick Feet when compared to Granbull, but thats my opinion.
