My nUU Team.

Hi, here is a team that is holding a decent win record granted I'm still not over the hump yet. I have yet to play against a hail team (at least not any good ones) which is keeping me skeptical about this team. But I figured I'd post this team in the R/D center for some rates and fixes.

The Team:

@ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Superpower
- Thunderbolt
- Toxic
- Light Screen
---
> The Lead.
>Luxray is such a great lead thanks to hit ability and typing. The game plan with him is fairly simple.. T-Bolt, T-Bolt, and T-Bolt. If for some circumstance he cannot T-Bolt move to a support option then switch out.

> Moveset.
>Superpower- Hits Steelix, Clefable, Regi's, and Abomasnow hard.
>Thunderbolt- Main attack. Stabbed T-Bolt... yup.
>Toxic- Toxic helps me to wear down anything I would not normally be able to take down. If I predict a switch I'll generally use this to cripple incoming Pokemon.
>Light Screen- If I know that I'm up against a Special attacker I will not hesitate to use this in the slightest. Being able to take less damage is never a bad thing. You know?

> Overall.
> Luxray was just tossed into this postion to see how he did. He fairs well against most leads and so no complaints here.
> This guy is my first switch-in to most physical attackers especially Staraptor.
> Unfortunately, this guy adds to my mass Earth-Weak team. But honestly, Earthquake just isn't as common in nUU.

@ Leftovers
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Poison Jab
- Focus Punch
- Substitute
- Sucker Punch
---
> Setup Poke.
>Toxicroak is definitely one of my favorite Pokemon. He has a great ability and has access to one of my most favorite moves ever! Focus Punch.

> Moveset.
> Poison Jab- STAB attack. Hits Shaymin for Super Effective.
> Focus Punch- Primary STAB attack. Hits very very hard.
> Substitue- Prevents status and helps setup Focus Punch.
> Sucker Punch- Gives Croak some priority.

> Overall.
> I honestly don't know how I find the time to setup with him... but I do.
> Typing allows him to absorb them annoying Toxic Spikes.
> I wish he had Encore...

140px-Booburn.jpg

@ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 4 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Fire Blast
- Focus Blast
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
---
> Choice User.
> This is essentially UU Heatran with better coverage and worse typing.

> Moveset.
> Fire Blast- Main Attack and generally only used attack.
> Focus Blast- Hits Clefable, Regi's, and Lix hard if Fire Blast isn't an option.
> Thunderbolt- Hits incoming water types for ok dmg. ~30%
> Hidden Power [ice]- This is hardly useful at all... Considering Sleep Talk.

> Overall.
> Quite the powerhouse.
> Used mainly as revenge killer.
> More Earth weak. Yay!

Rotom.png

@ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Trick
- Will-o-wisp
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
---
> Trickster.
> Trick isn't even the reason I use him. His Typing and Ability make him a fantastic Pokemon.

> Moveset.
> Trick- Relieves this guy of Specs or anything else he comes across.
> Will-O-Wisp- For pesky Physical types.
> Shadow Ball- STAB attack. Hits most things hard.
> Thunderbolt- Hits them water types..

> Overall.
> Helps cover teams main weakness (Ground) and not to mention has several other kick ass characteristics.
> Still don't know which set I should run...

009Blastoise.png

@ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP/120 SAtk/136 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Surf
- Yawn
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
---
> SpinnAr.
> I SpiNNar! I do it all.

> Moveset.
> Surf- Main attack. Apparently, I pumped Ev's so this could do some damage. Works quite well.
> Yawn- Sleeps or Forces switches. Either way I should come out on top.
> Rapid Spin- Entry hazards are annoying...
> Earthquake- RAIKOU! I HATE CHU!.. Haha, j/k. But in no way do I want Raikou to setup on my arse. So I'll simply EQ until he decides to kill me... then I'll attempt a revenge kill.

> Overall.
> Overall good spinner. Helps take down that blasted Claydol.
> Not many Raikou's switch into this guy... Oh well.
> Yawn rocks.. I encourage its use... just not against me :P.

059Arcanine.png

@ Life Orb
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 SAtk
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Flare Blitz
- Extremespeed
- Overheat
---
> Hard Hitter.
> Hits hard or dies trying.

> Moveset.
> Crunch- Hits Claydol hardish.
> Flare Blitz- Main attack that packs a wallop.
> Extreme Speed- Amazing priority move.
> Overheat- I hate Steelix. This is for him specifically.

> Overall.
> Awesome sweeper.
> My favorite Pokemon since RBY is finally getting some street cred.

=====================================================

I have issues...

Lack of Stealth Rock or any entry hazard.
Earthquake weak. Honestly, hasn't been a problem though.
Rotom's set. Seems alright.

In conclusion....

I like turtles.

A couple of nit picks on some movesets.

On Rotom if you are going defensive, 252 HP / 252 Def, drop the Choice Specs on it and go with this moveset:

Rotom @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Bold Nature
EV: 252 HP / 252 Defense / 6 Special Attack

-Thunderbolt
-Shadow Ball
-Will-O-Wisp
-Light Screen

or you might want to consider a Sleep Talk Version

-Thunderbolt
-Will-O-Wisp
-Sleep Talk
-Rest

The first moveset provides excellect coverage and prevents Staraptor sweep. Light Screen will help the entire team, and Will-O-Wisp will handle physical attackers. Thunderbolt and Shadow Ball are your main STAB attacks. Thunderbolt or Will-O-Wisp will handle CB Staraptor.

On Luxray, consider exchanging replacing Super Power to Hidden Power [Grass] It will handle more ground types switch ins and the ability to "hurt" Steelix or Clefable is useless because it will fail to OHKO them, while having to obtain that Attack drop. You are better off with HP [Grass] for good coverage and a chance to net a OHKO to the likes of Quagsire or Gastrodon.

To help off your ground weakness, I suggest replacing Arcanine to Choice Scarf Staraptor.

401.png
@ Choice Scarf
Ability : Intimidate
Adamant Nature
EV: 252 Attack / 252 Speed / 6 Def

Brave Bird
Close Combat
Return
U-Turn

This thing is absolutley great and fits in your team. It comes in to one of your ghost weakness and your most obvious one, ground. Since this thing will be switching back and forth, this makes Blastoise Rapid Spin a good use to eliminate SR. Return and Brave Bird will be your main weapon to sweep an entire team, it's what ScarfRaptor does best. U-Turn is best to scout around while having to hit Psychic types.

If you really need a place for Stealth Rock. I highly suggest replacing Luxray with Miltank.

241.png
@ Leftovers
Ability : Scrappy
Impish Nature
252 HP / 220 Def / 40 Attack

Body Slam
Stealth Rock
Milk Drink
Heal Bell

An amazing wall, while having to take team up with Rotom. An ability to tank and hit hard at the same time and lay rocks if you really need it. Heal Bell is a great move, for extra safety.

Heal Bell, Toxicroak, Rapid Spin, all three provide excellent support to prevent spikes, toxic spikes, status, SR, etc.

With that being said, if you plan to add in Miltank, I suggest switching your lead to Magmortar now, it should handle the common leads today.

Hope this helped.
