SS OU My OU team of round lads

I'm looking for a kind of funny but also functional team of the chunkiest looking pokemon, it started as a joke but after building the team in sword and shield and editing it in pokemon showdown, I've started to become curious about competitive pokemon. This is my current team, I'm looking to improve so I am very open to suggestions!

I chose wailord as my first pokemon, because the pokemon inspired this little challenge. I also like the big range of moves he has, from flying to ice to ground. The EV's were the suggested EV's and nature, and I chose leftovers because it seems to be like the thing most used in pokemon showdown, plus it makes him annoyingly slow to take out if you do not have a pokemon for it.

Wailord @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Veil
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 SpD
Gentle Nature
- Liquidation
- Scald
- Earthquake
- Ice Beam

I chose Gengar because he's round in appearance, and also quite fast. I also like having a fast poison type so that I can hopefully poison a harder pokemon to take out, and use other possible pokemon as fodder, or use my snorlax's protect. The cursed body ability is also convenient for this, as if the opposing pokemon has a sweeping move, they cant attack with it for a while. Again, leftovers and suggested EV's/Nature.

Gengar @ Leftovers
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Dazzling Gleam
- Sludge Bomb

Clefable is again, another round pokemon, and I like the range that they have as well. It adds a fire type move that I didn't have on the team otherwise, and a healing move that becomes convenient occasionally. Overall Clefable feels the weakest as I usually only get one attack out before going down, but while the pokemon is still up the leftovers and the cute charm do help it. Suggested EV's and Nature.

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Cute Charm
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Soft-Boiled
- Moonblast
- Fire Blast

Pangoro is another pokemon I'm rather unsure about. It is only typically useful against psychic and fighting types, when it doesn't get taken out first because it is quite slow. I could be using him wrong strategically, but the bullet punch is definitely helpful when it comes to finishing off a strong pokemon with only a little hp fast. Throat chop comes in handy as well, in certain situations. Suggested EV's, Ability, and Nature.

Pangoro @ Leftovers
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Throat Chop
- Close Combat
- Bullet Punch
- Gunk Shot

Appletun feels like a good member, I usually like to switch out into him when a grass type tries to attack my wailord, and the dragon type moves on them do damage to the grass type. I wish he was more bulky in hp, but I do like his damage output. Leech seed is one of the most helpful moves, and I do like the dragon type moves, when appletun isnt taken out by a dragon that is faster. Suggested Nature, EV's, and Ability.

Appletun @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Apple Acid
- Dragon Pulse
- Leech Seed

One of wolfeyVGC's pokemon builds for snorlax, and I like using it in certain situations. Often the snorlax gets killed before he can do the belly drum and eat the berry, or gets killed before it gets its first attack out, but when he does work it's a force to be reckoned with. WolfeyVGC's suggested ability, EV's, and Nature.

Snorlax @ Iapapa Berry
Ability: Gluttony
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Belly Drum
- Protect
- Facade
- Recycle

Please critique or replace or edit all you like! There is only one rule for this team, and its that all the members have to be round looking chunkers. Thank you in advance!!

Your post is one month old but I'm still gonna try help you

Long-ass post warning btw, scroll straight to the end if you just want your new team poképaste

First Wailord kinda sucks strategically ngl, idk if you absolutely wants to keep it but if you don't care you can replace it with Blissey which does the same thing but better ( and also looks round asf )

Anyway here's a better moveset for Wailord :

:ss/wailord:

Wailord @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Def / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Substitute
- Aqua Ring
- Protect
- Scald

Here's his gameplan :

You first set-up Substitue to hide and protect Wailord
Then you use Aqua Ring to heal it a little bit
Protect when you need to block a specific attack or to protect your Substitute from getting destroyed
Scald just in case you need to put-out some damage ( Scald also can burn which annoys physical attackers a lot )

His purpose is just to stall your opponent and to make him lose as many turns as possible, as Wailord has the "Pressure" ability, which will make your opponent loses his PPs faster, and a pokémon with no PP is a useless pokémon

Playing Wailord with only offensive moves like you did is a bad idea cuz Wailord is slow asf and does not hit really hard

And now here's the Blissey set if you're ok with replacing Wailord :

:ss/blissey:

Blissey @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Seismic Toss
- Soft-Boiled
- Thunder Wave / Toxic
- Teleport

Seismic Toss is used to deal some damage

Soft-Boiled is to heal its HPs

You can use either Thunder Wave or Toxic, both are good, it depends on what do you feel is the most important between paralysis ( Thunder Wave ) and Poison ( Toxic ). Still keep in mind that Thunder Wave is mostly used to deal with offensive pokémons, while Toxic is mostly for defensive pokémons, after some games you'll make the right choice

Teleport is to switch, and since it will always switch last you can make your pokémons safely comes in, without risking getting hit by an opposing attack

Your second pokémon is Gengar, which is good, you can keep it.
However your Gengar moves and items aren't really good
So here's a new Gengar set

:ss/gengar:

Gengar @ Choice Specs
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
Ivs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Wave
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Thunderbolt

You use Choice Specs instead of Leftovers, Leftovers is mostly good for defensive pokémons but Gengar is an offensive pokémon, Choice Specs makes Gengar hits much harder, and you don't care about it locking which moves you are using since Shadow Ball is enough 99% of the time as there are a few mons who can resist ghost moves

Dazzling Gleam isn't strong enough as a move so I replaced it with Focus Blast which does more damage and allows it to hit Dark-types and Normal-types super-effectively.

If you want to you can replace Choice Specs with Choice Scarf which will allow it to outspeed almost every pokémon you'll meet ( like Dragapult for instance ), but it will deal less damage. If you plan on using it with Choice Scarf you should put a Modest nature instead of a Timid Nature too

Another option : Replacing Thunderbolt by Trick, giving a choice specs/scarf to a defensive pokémon through trick fucks it up

Your third pokémon is Clefable, which is REALLY strong normally, but the moveset you're using doesn't exploit it to its full potential

There's basically two ways to play Clefable : Defensive or Offensive, I'd recommend you to test both so that you see which one fits your team better

Here's the offensive Clefable set :

:ss/clefable:

Clefable @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 196 Def / 60 Spe
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Flamethrower

Your goal is to set-up Calm Mind and then to hits your opponent like a truck, there's nothing much to say really

And now the Defensive Clefable set

:ss/clefable:

Clefable @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 200 Def / 56 SpD
Calm Nature
- Moonblast
- Soft-Boiled
- Stealth Rock
- Knock Off

The two main moves you're gonna use with it are Stealth Rock which is really important in all kind of teams, and Knock Off, which removes the item of opposing pokémons and reduce their usefulness by doing so. It heals itself with Soft-Boiled and can do some damage through Moonblast

Your next pokémon is Pangoro, which does effectively suck, you should replace it, he does not even look that fat

Two good replacements comes to mind : Mamoswine and Azumarill, all of them are chonky, have high attack stat ( azumarill hits hard thanks to its huge power ability ). And have priority moves to safely kill a pokémon, the same way Pangoro's bullet punch did

Both are equally great, just use whichever you like the more, or test all of them to see which is the superior one

Anyway here's the Mamoswine set :

:ss/mamoswine:

Mamoswine @ Choice Band
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Icicle Crash
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Knock Off

He's pretty straight forward. As for other options regarding him, you can replace his item by either a Life Orb ( which allows you to use multiples moves instead of just one with Choice Band ), or by a Choice Scarf which makes him fast

Ice Shard is a good priority move

Now the Azumarill set :

:ss/azumarill:

Azumarill @ Choice Band
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Liquidation
- Play Rough
- Aqua Jet
- Ice Punch

He's also pretty straight forward, you use Aqua Jet as his priority move, but there's not really any other option with Azumarill

Up next is your Appletun. He's alright, you can keep it

:ss/appletun:

Appletun @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Apple Acid
- Recover
- Leech Seed
- Draco Meteor

You use it to tank Special Attacks, as there's already Clefable and Gengar to launch special attacks instead of him, there's no Spa investment. If you want to, you can replace his Leftovers with Rocky Helmet or Eject Pack. As Eject Pack synergizes well with Draco Meteor

Snorlax is good enough, but I'm suggesting you to invest his EVs in Defense rather than Physical Defense as Snorlax already has a respectable enough sp. def, but a lacklusted def. A phys def investment would help him set-up Belly Drum more safely

:ss/snorlax:

Snorlax @ Iapapa Berry
Ability: Gluttony
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
- Belly Drum
- Protect
- Facade
- Recycle

A possible replacement for Snorlax, would be Diggersby

:ss/diggersby:

Diggersby @ Life Orb
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Quick Attack
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch

He works exactly the same way as snorlax, you use Swords Dance to boost it first then you attack
Except that Diggersby has Quick Attack which as priority move, so him getting outspeed isn't really a problem, and Swords Dance does not make you lose HP, so he's safer
