Hey guys,
Just made an OU team to test it out. I have tested it out on Pokemon Online, and the team is going well till now. Here's the team:
Rotom (Rotom-W) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Trick
This Pokemon is usually my lead, especially in rain teams. I usually use this as a scout, since the opponent is more likely to use a water type as a lead, namely Politoed and Tentacruel. All the moves are simple to understand why they are used, and Trick too, since it can b used to cripple walls like Ferrothorn who can wall this set.
Zela Mushroom (Breloom) (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Spore
- Swords Dance
- Mach Punch
- Bullet Seed
The physical sweeper, and my second lead. Spore for putting the opponent for sleep, and then one swords dance to sweep, since the opponent is more likely to switch, and if he doesn't, more swords dance. Mach Punch is the main priority move here. When faced by Pokemon that Breloom cannot fight against, switch to Heatran.
Latios (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Surf
- Roost
The special sweeper. Nothing much to say about this. Draco meteor hits like a nuclear weapon even on Pokemon that resist it. Psyshock for Chansey and Blissey. Surf for coverage and Roost to heal off Life Orb recoil and passive damage.
Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Moxie
EVs: 88 HP / 248 Atk / 4 Def / 168 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Bounce
The classy Pokemon who can take on certain fire types which other Pokemon can't. Substitute is used while the opponent switches or Gyarados can be switched in on a setup Pokemon. While the Pokemon sets up, Gyarados to sets up, by putting up Substitutes and stacking up DD boosts. Once enough boost are accumulated, it can KO and get another Moxie boost, and thus sweeps.
Garchomp (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang
- Dual Chop
Just slapped on a choice band on him to get a boost right off the bat. Outrage is something used for a late game sweep or to hit something hard which cannot be KOed by Dual Chop. Earthquake is used for certain Pokemon which resist Outrage, just like Steel types. Fire Fang for Ferrothorn, and then Dual Chop to KO Pokemon with Focus Sash or Substitute.
Heatran (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SDef / 8 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Lava Plume
- Stealth Rock
- Protect
- Toxic
A Pokemon on certain switch ins, for example, a thunderbolt which Gyarados can't handle. Stealth Rock is traditionally used as an entry hazard. Lava Plume's 30% chance to burn is quite useful. Protect can be used to predict what the opponent is gonna use next, and also get Leftovers recovery, and stack up Toxic damage. Toxic can be used in conjunction with Protect to slowly rip off the opponent.
One of the main problems I encountered with the team was a boosted Dragonite.
Another problem encountered was from Thundurus-T.
Also the team needs a cleric and a spinner/spinblocker.
