Okay, so this is basically me trying to close any obvious holes and hopefully find some solutions for some problems within this team I have been using. It seems to work well, but is in definite need of criticism.
Without further ado, The crew.
The team is designed to support the set up sweepers and maintain heavy offensive presence.
Mamoswine @ Focus Sash
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
Mamoswine is the team lead, designed to get up rocks and do damage off the bat. Pretty Basic set, can also be used as a check for Dragons and set-up sweepers like Lucario that threaten my team.
Breloom @ Leftovers
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 HP / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Bullet Seed
- Mach Punch
- Spore
- Swords Dance
Breloom is the core physical sweeper, I run max speed to get a sleep off and give me the jump on threats who would otherwise be able to outspeed and KO. Lefties is there because I couldn't find an item that would be more useful (Considered Life Orb but decided Breloom is frail enough as it is.)
Landorus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Superpower
Landy forms both the physically defensive poke and the momentum keeper of the team using strong U-turns to keep us in the better position and also being able to check a variety of physical attackers due to Intimidate. Works well with Ferrothorn.
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 SDef / 252 HP / 4 Atk
Careful Nature
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Protect
- Stealth Rock
Ferro is here to provide a strong defensive position, I opted for specially defensive over physically as I feel it synergies better with the rest of the team this way. Can act as another stealth rock user if Mammoswine is needed elsewhere.
Latios (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Dragon Pulse
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
Hole punch. Here to late game sweep and just deliver a serious chunk of damage into anything. Carrying two dragon moves for fear of being locked into Draco. Surf and T-bolt are there for general coverage.
Lucario @ Lucarionite
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Vacuum Wave
- Aura Sphere
- Flash Cannon
Late game special sweeper and mega, opted for flash cannon over d-pulse for the dual adaptability STAB. Is brelooms specially offensive counterpart on my team. Kicks ass, but gets limited set up opportunities every match sadly.
This is my team, I have several flaws that I think I need some help
addressing.
-A fire type weakness across the board, only Latios resists and 4 pokes are weak to it.
-Unable to phase or remove hazards, this leaves my team venerable to entry hazards.
-Both my sweepers seem to have trouble setting up without being OHKO'd
Thanks,
Reted.
