Well this is going to be my in-game team in HeartGold, but is has led me to some decent success on Shoddy. This is definently an offensive team, but it does have quite a few Pokemon that can take a hit. The main problem that this team faces is ice. Everything except Rotom and Starmie are weak to ice, although special attacks don't do all that much to Latias and Tyranitar. Also, as this is to be an in-game team, I really have no way of getting my desired Rotom appliance. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could recommend me a steel I can get in-game that can counter Dragons, ice and Gyrados (DD versions). A Lucario with ExtremeSpeed is something I would try, it seems like it might be a good option seeing as I lack a priority move. Now without further interuption, my team.

Tyranitar @ Choice Band
Nature:Adamant
Ability:Sand Stream
EV Spread: HP:176 Atk:252 Speed:80
-Crunch
-Aqua Tail
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge

I love this guy. He puts dents in every lead and is really bulky. Sand Stream is also nice to pick off those focus sash carrying leads. The moves I have are pretty self explanatory. EQ for steels, Stone Edge/ Crunch for powerful STAB and Aqua tail mostly for Hippowdon. The only time I will switch him out is if I am playing a rain dance team so I can spoil their fun later, or if the other Pokemon has a fighting move. All in All a great lead that can start out by easily sweeping half of the other team.

Latias @ Leftovers
Nature: Timid
Ability: Levitate
EV Spread: HP:128 Sp. Atk:128 Speed:252
-HP Fire
-Dragon Pulse
-Calm Mind
-Recover

My Calm Mind Latias. HP Fire is kind of a bother because it gives me imperfect speed but I need it to much as it kills steels who otherwise wall me. With her bulk, she can easily get in a couple Calm Minds and then recover off any damage and sweep. She is also a good counter to any non-dancing Dragon with her high speed and STAB dragon pulse.

Rotom-C @ Leftovers
Nature: Bold
Ability: Levitate
EV Spread: HP: 252 Defense:168 Speed:88
-Leaf Storm
-Will-o-Wisp
-Shadow Ball
-Thunder Bolt

I love this guy but sadly can't get him in game easily. If someone could recomend a steel like what I mentioned earlier it would be appreciated. I use Rotom as a fighting/ground resist and to cripple physical attackers.

121.png

Starmie@ Life Orb
Nature: Timid
Ability: Natural Cure
EV Spread: Speed:252 Sp. Atk:252 HP:4
-Grass Knot
-Hydro Pump
-Ice Beam
-Thunder Bolt

Many people use Starmie as a spinner, I find him much more affective as a sweeper. Hydro Pump deals massive amounts of damage to those who don't resist it and this makes the shaky accuracy worth it to me over surf. Grass Knot for swampert and Bolt/Beam for the coverage.

373.png

Salamence@ Life Orb
Nature:Mild
Ability: Intimidate
EV Spread: Atk:40 SP. Atk:216 Speed:252
-Draco Meteor
-Fire Blast
-Earthquake
-Outrage

This is basically just a regular mixmence. Really good at breaking a variety of walls. I usually use Draco Meteor to kill a physical wall, then I fire off physical attacks. He also can draw a lot of Blissey's thinking he is pure special, which can net me some suprise kills. Overall really good at killing a lot of things.

Gliscor@ Leftovers
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Sand Veil
EV Spread: HP:252 Atk:40 Speed:216
-Roost
-Stealth Rock
-Aerial Ace
-Earthquake

My physical counter. I use him to counter Lucario, Heracross, Breloom Machamp and almost any non ice carrying physical attacker to come my way. With those Ev's and Nature, he will outrun any Lucario an OHKO with Earthquake. Lucario used to be a huge problem for my team, but not anymore.

Well thanks for taking the time to look/rate. Any questions/comments/advice is appreciated.

Hey well I like your team,
You said you wanted a steel that could replace Rotom and this is my answer. Metagross.
This seems like a very good set for you to use.
Metagross @ Life orb/Leftovers
nature adamant
252 atk 100 def 50 HP 102 Spe
moves
- thunderpunch
-icepunch
-bullet punch
- earthquake/zen headbutt

Thunder punch because you said you wanted a DD gyrados dead and paired with icepunch you get a "BoltBeam" combo (kinda)
Icepunch because you said you wanted to take out dragons
Bullet Punch for STAB and priority
Earthquake because it can help you not get walled forever by other steels mainly Magnezone
OR

Zen headbutt for STAB and flinch (mega maybe)

I think this set will fit the bill for you. I would say to use EQ but it is up to you.

Well I hope this helps

Is that air slash on your gliscor? Because taunt/knock off/toxic would be much better support than a weak attack off of his SpA. You don't have a single steel. There are many options. Like mentioned above, metagross (poke of the month) works great with latias, covering weakness ect. Scizor is also cool considering more than half your team resists fire.

eggbert, my bad that was supposed to be aerial ace not air slash, i got the two mixed up.

pkmntrainerblue, ill try that metagross out, thanks

Aerial ace is still an awful move for Gliscor. It is only of any use at all against Breloom and Heracross. You pretty much wall Heracross anyway, and you can prevent Breloom from doing any serious damage through the use of Taunt. Taunt helps loads against things like Skarmory, and lets you beat stall more easily.

few nitpicks about your team: on salamence, generally the better option over outrage is roost, since you will have increased longevity. outrage is a poor choice for a mixmence because it's very prone to being set up on, and you have a very offensive team. something like ddgyara can wreck your team if played properly.

i definitely agree taunt is the superior option on gliscor as it allows you to break down stall very effectively.

why don't you try a scarftar over your current set? you seem to have some problems with starmie and gengar, really relying on speed ties to beat them, and the shaky accuracy of hydro pump on starmie. scarftar will provide a valuable check to these threats as well as lucario, should gliscor fall.

hope this helps good luck
