My Proposed Team (rule-following ^.^;)

It's probably worth noting that this team will rarely be for online battling but rather for battling my friends IRL.

The Squad:

094-1.png

Gengar @ Wide Lens
Levitate
EVs: don't know :/
Nature: Hasty

Shadow Ball
Thunderbolt
Focus Blast
Destiny Bond

Sweeper-ish. Unfortunately I don't know it's EVs and it has an odd nature because this is the Gengar from the Haunter you get in a trade early-on in the game. I've found though that it still does an alright job. I use it as my lead. It can hit most things for super effective and Destiny Bond is a nice little insurance policy.

Flygon @ Life Orb
Levitate
EVs: 256 Atk, 256 Sp. Atk
Nature: Naive

Flamethrower
Draco Meteor
Stone Edge
Earthquake

Mixgon. Nothing too unremarkable about this. provides good coverage and scares away most Pokemon that know it has a Super Effective against them. Life Orb helps it do the business.

110-1.png

Weezing @ Black Sludge
Levitate
EVs: 256 Def, 256 HP
Nature: Bold

Thunderbolt
Flamethrower
Will-O-Wisp
Explosion

My Physical Wall. Will-O-Wisp cripples everything it needs to (when it hits) and Thunderbolt and Flamethrower give decent power/type coverage for weakening a Burnt opponent.

134-1.png

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Water Absorb
EVs: 188 HP, 252 Def, 68 Sp. Atk
Nature: Bold

Surf
Ice Beam
Wish
Hidden Power Electric 60

Vaporeon's main job is Wishing and semi-walling. I think this is a pretty standard Vaporeon. HP Elecric is a little weak but I don't have an Action Replay and Online IV checking take so long. I got the HP Electric and just stuck with it

461-1.png

Weavile @ Focus Sash
Pressure
EVs: 256 Attack, 256 Speed
Nature: Lonely

Fake Out
Ice Shard
Counter
Pursuit

A tactical set, it's main focus is really to pick off weaker 'Mon, aside from Counter/Sash which is a guaranteed KO on almost everything it's ever come across

OR

Ice Shard
Brick Break
Counter/Pursuit
Night Slash

This is a moveset I've been wondering about. While the current moveset is okay it lacks power. This is for a more aggressive Weavile and I may need a better item choice for this set

468-1.png

Togekiss @ Leftovers/Lum Berry
Serene Grace
EVs: Sp. Def, Sp. Atk
Nature: Modest

Air Slash
Thunder Wave
Aura Sphere
Nasty Plot

The only Pokemon on this squad I don't actually have yet. My plan is to lead with a Thunder Wave, possibly forcing a switch, and then Nasty Plotting my way through their squad. Obviously I'd like Roost on here somewhere but I just don't know what to remove. Perhaps there's an alternate course for Togekiss here?...

Now remember, this isn't really a squad for online play, so whether I've been completely exact with my EVs or whether a scarfed Garchomp would outspeed me is of little concern to this Squad ^ ^

Edit: Also considering a Swords Dance Lucario in place of maybe Weavile for some much needed power.

I like Lucario over Weavile for brute power myself. I run a basic Expert Belt set myself. I've always thought that Lucario defensively wasn't too great, and I prefer Weavile being speedier - and more powerful - anyway.

Drop Stone Edge on Flygon; the coverage is poor. You're better off with Roost or U-Turn. Both moves help you live to fight another day, which is what you're gonna need if you insist on using Draco Meteor, as you're left with only EQ to deal decent damage after you use it... and as we all know, nothing says "free switch" like a whiffed EQ. At least with U-Turn you can counter-switch, for as long as your prediction holds out.

Roost's advantage only really comes into play if you find that Flygon is doing a lot of your bulk damage-dealing.

HP Electric is good on your Vaporeon, just FYI. Oh, and you really should run SDLuke instead of Weavile, assuming that your friends will probably use Tyranitar or Hippo, and it also has way more power.

Yeah, it's looking like SDLuke will be replacing my Weavile, which is a shame, 'cos i kinda like it's cheeky little (albeit stupid) face.

Removing Stone Edge from Flygon makes a lot of sense now I look at it, especially with my established walls synching well with U-Turn. I imagine Roost is going to have a hard time going off, what with Flygons less-than-ideal defenses though.

As far as Vaporeon goes, I think I'm gonna try out Protect > Hidden Power for a while, just for the added health insurance. (Plus my friends don't really have the bulky waters to wall it)
