My Rain Team

I'm currently making a rain team and having a HORRIBLE TIME trying to figure out which pokemon to switch and put in there. Here:

Hasty Electrode @ Focus Sash
Ability: Static
EVs: 252 Spe/212 Atk/46 SpA
Rain Dance
Thunder
Explosion
Taunt
I'll rain dance first move and always hang on with sash. The 252 Speed EVs ensures outspeeding leads (usually they don't have scarf.) I can then Explode, Taunt, or Thunder depending what's in play.

Calm Ludicolo @ Leftovers
Ability: Rain Dish
EVs: 252 HP/124 Spe/100 SpD/34 SpA
Surf
Substitute
Toxic
Leech Seed
In Rain I will have 3 HP recovering methods, maybe even at one. I can sub to get my HP back. Toxic and leech seed to wear down opponents, and STAB'd surf. The EVs allow me to outspeed some pokemon while surviving the usual electric attacks.

Modest Lapras @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 192 Def/162 SpA/156 SpD
Ice Beam
Thunder
Surf
Ice Shard
In rain thunder is a garunteed hit with 120 power. Ice Shard kills the Pokemon with 1 HP or in the red. Surf is there for STAB and ya...

Jolly Toxicroak @ Leftovers
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spe/ 6 Def
Substitute
Focus Punch
Earthquake
Sucker Punch
I was thinking about going with Rain Dance, Cross Chop, Earthquake, and Sucker Punch but someone said that this set is better. IDK. But here I may be able to get a free sub. Focus Punch has 150 power with STAB which is great.

Bold Jirachi @ Damp Rock
Ability: Serence Grace
252 HP/82 Def/176 SpD
Rain Dance
Thunder
U-Turn
Wish
This thing is an unexpected beast. With Damp Rock and Rain Dance rain will last longer. Also, with Serence Grace, Thunder gets a 60% chance of para hax and doesn't miss in rain. Wish and U-turn is a great combo also.

Modest Omastar @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 252 SpA/252 Spe/6 Def (Maybe I should switch some Speed EVs over to defense since Swift Swim would be activated.)
Toxic
Ice Beam
Surf
Stealth Rock
I've seen SRs to be very helpful in killing sashes and lowering the opponents HP. The Evs Allow Omastar for a possible sweep and it's speed can come close to Deoxys-S's max. Life Orb gives me more attack for the sweep.

Now. I know your thinking, "Sand Stream can ruin your whole RD team!!" No, the water Pokemon with STAB Surf will destroy T-Tar. After Electrode is done, I can set up SR with Omanyte, stall with Ludicolo, and Thunder the other things.

What I was thinking was switching in a Dewgong. Maybe for Lapras, but I like Thunder on him. The set would be

Modest Dewgong @ Leftovers
Ability: Hydration
EVs: 252 HP/252 SpA/6 Def
Rain Dance
Surf
Ice Beam/Aqua Jet
Rest
This set is super cool. When I use Rest, Hydration automatically cures the sleep condition while raining. The Ice Beam/Aqua Jet is the thing I'm not so sure about. Aqua Jet is a priority move, but I have Surf for STAB. Then again, Ice Beam kills Dragons etc.

I also would like Kingdra in there. I'd put a scope lens on him, use focus energy, and hope for a crit. With the Sniper ability raising a crits power, there's a chance of and OHKO/2HKO.

Help please

Toxicroak being jolly is pointless.

Let's see, speed wont help focus punch or sucker punch at all, so basically, it's only there to supplement earthquake. Dump them into HP or maybe a little special defense in hope of your sub surviving an ice beam after absorbing a surf/waterfall with dry skin (Just because the water ice combo is so common). Adamant is the way to go.

Dewgong needs ice beam over aqua jet, it's pointless, and you get to take advantage of dual stab. Maybe even consider taking some EV's out of spec attack because look at it this way, surf is boosted by rain and stab, ice beam is boosted by stab. He needs to be able to survive to take advantage of hydra rest. Some guy gave me a perfect custom spread for my dewgong, I'll get back at you with it later.

Keep ludicolo alive as it's your only ground resist and you have 4 weak to EQ

I would maybe consider protect over substitute on ludicolo.

*bump*
Ok thanks. I'm going to need a lotad with leech seed so if anyone has one, please post. I still don't know who to switch in Dewgong for. Do I even need him? Lapras with Thunder is unexpected. I like the priority move alot too. Should I put Kingdra in? I don't think so since his defenses arn't too great.

If you plan to run a rain team, you WANT a Kingdra. Kingdra is one of the most beastly things on the rain team. Dewgong should be replaced. I am not much help here as I've never ran a Rain team, but yeah you need Kingdra.

When you're bored and you have nothing better to do, what else to do than rate teams? Hey Skarm. I hope I can help you out.

Hasty Electrode @ Focus Sash
Ability: Static
EVs: 252 Spe/212 Atk/46 SpA
Rain Dance
Thunder
Explosion
Taunt

Very nice. Electrode is probably one of the best RD starters IMO. I see nothing wrong with this set, you get STAB, you go Boom, you set up RD, good job.

Calm Ludicolo @ Leftovers
Ability: Rain Dish
EVs: 252 HP/124 Spe/100 SpD/34 SpA
Surf
Substitute
Toxic
Leech Seed

Haha, I love this Ludicolo set. It annoys the crap out of your opponents. It's a little different than what set I had, but if this works for you, then go for it.

Modest Lapras @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 192 Def/162 SpA/156 SpD
Ice Beam
Thunder
Surf
Ice Shard
In rain thunder is a garunteed hit with 120 power. Ice Shard kills the Pokemon with 1 HP or in the red. Surf is there for STAB and ya...

I would change the nature to maybe something like Mild. That way, you don't decrease Ice Shard's power. Otherwise, it looks good.

Jolly Toxicroak @ Leftovers
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spe/ 6 Def
Substitute
Focus Punch
Earthquake
Sucker Punch
I was thinking about going with Rain Dance, Cross Chop, Earthquake, and Sucker Punch but someone said that this set is better. IDK. But here I may be able to get a free sub. Focus Punch has 150 power with STAB which is great.

Definitely, change Toxicroak to Adamant. You need that extra power. I would consider giving it Life Orb, seeing as you get 12.5% health back each turn, and you only lose 10%... You're still gaining health. Otherwise, this looks good.

Bold Jirachi @ Damp Rock
Ability: Serence Grace
252 HP/82 Def/176 SpD
Rain Dance
Thunder
U-Turn
Wish
This thing is an unexpected beast. With Damp Rock and Rain Dance rain will last longer. Also, with Serence Grace, Thunder gets a 60% chance of para hax and doesn't miss in rain. Wish and U-turn is a great combo also.

I see nothing wrong with this either. Very nice, very original as well.

Hehe. Swift Swim FTW. Personally, I don't get why you would make this a staller set when you're maxing out Special Attack and Speed. I would do this set:

Omastar @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
Nature: Modest
EV Spread: 252 SpAtk/252 Spd/6 Def
Moves:
Surf

Ice Beam
Hidden Power {Electric}
AncientPower

Yes, AncientPower isn't the best choice, but if you get that stat boost, you can pretty much sweep as much as you could possibly want.

Now. I know your thinking, "Sand Stream can ruin your whole RD team!!" No, the water Pokemon with STAB Surf will destroy T-Tar. After Electrode is done, I can set up SR with Omanyte, stall with Ludicolo, and Thunder the other things.

I wasn't thinking that... :(

If you're going to use something like that, I would put Phione in there. It can stall. But honestly, keep Lapras. That does a job much better than Dewgong could.

I also would like Kingdra in there. I'd put a scope lens on him, use focus energy, and hope for a crit. With the Sniper ability raising a crits power, there's a chance of and OHKO/2HKO.

Kingdra seems like a good choice, but I'm just not sure where you would fit it in. You would probably have to take out Jirachi, and I know you wouldn't want to do that.

Help please

I hope I helped. See ya around the chat. :P

I was thinking of adding either a Starmie or a Vappy but all of these pokemon have good abilities under rain
