My RMT

This is my first RMT. I first started competitive battling a while ago, and since then i have made new accounts on the main Shoddy server. I have been struggling to find a team that consistently wins until now. I have playtested it for a while, and hope to patch up the minor weakness's it may have. It it mainly an offensive team but Celebi can stall easily if needed. Gliscor is a star on this team, allowing it to shut down walls for the big sweep.

Infernape (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 40 Atk/252 Spd/216 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Fake Out
- Close Combat
- Fire Blast
- Stealth Rock

I chose this lead over the other faster leads because it does its job well. Fake out allows it to breaks focus sashes and deal a little damage while loses virtually nothing. It gets stealth rocks up fast, but has a little trouble against faster taunters like Azelf, and Aerodactlye. This set also destroys the Skarmory lead.

Latias (F) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Trick

This standard choice specs Latias can deal massive damage. It provides a counter to Gyarados resisting every move it has, except for the uncommn Ice Fang. I like to bring it in for a revenge kill or on a resisted attack and Draco meteor the switch. If scizor trys to swith in, a surf or T-Bolt will do massive damage. Sometimes i wish i had HP fire instead of trick for the Steel types who may switch in, but trick is great for crippling walls like blissey which may give this team trouble.

Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 SDef
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Stone Edge

I like to use Dragon Dance tyranitar over any other set for its ability to sweep. Choice scarf Tyranitar is seeing so much play, that you can easily DD when you come in on a Latias. I chose Leftovers over Life orb Or babiri berry because you will be switching in on ghost types and Latias, which will attack rather than swith out, because they fear the Choice Scarf pursuit. Having leftovers lets you survive longer, and take a second attack, while you set up a DD. I use earthquake over Fire punch or aqua tail, because of Jirachi's presence with the new CM wish set, and also the annoying Sub, T-wave, Fire punch, Iron head Hax set. A +1 earthquake will easily OHKO with stealth rocks. I used jolly over adamant, because i want to be able to out speed Latias, and Gengar after one Dragon dance.

Mamoswine (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Snow Cloak
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd

Originally a Salamence, i decided to replace it for Mamoswine, because of my weakness to ice. Also two dragon dance pokemon is overkill. Mamoswine is used to revenge kill Salamence and Latias. It is usually not brought out because of how slow it is and Scizor's super effective bullet punch. I am looking to replace it, Any suggestions?

Gliscor (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP/40 Def/216 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Roost
- Taunt
- Toxic
This gliscor shuts down many walls. It uses its fast taunt to hinder toxic, healing, and entry hazard set up. Blissey, and Skarmory can do nothing against it. Toxic allows it to take down walls health effectively and still not be hit. Roost allows Gliscor to stall even more effectively while the wall tries to hit it for damage while it is taunted. It's speed is also usefull to revenge kill slower pokes that are weak to it. Also, it can either take our jirachi, or bring it to low health. I have been seeing alot of electivires lately, and an EQ can easily OHKO it.

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/216 Def/40 SDef
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Recover
- Thunder Wave
- Leech Seed
- Grass Knot

This set is my own, it can take many Physical attacks and slow down sweepers. It is really good against Gyarados, because it can take a +2 waterfall, earthquake, or stone edge easily. its only weakness to Gyara is taunt. This bulky celebi is mainly for taking status and giving support with T-wave and leech seed. This combo helps T-Tar set up for the sweep.

Dragon Dance Gyrados with Ice Fang can completely destroy your team if Celebi is on low health. It outspeeds everything on your team after a Dragon Dance and can ko nearly everything in your team. As you said Gyrados can just taunt Celebi, making it unable for Celebi to stop the sweep. Mamoswine's Ice shard just won't ko it. Changing Latias to scarfed Latias could stop the problem fairly easly, or make Mamoswine banded(not sure if banded Ice shard ko's).

It looks like an old team I used to have but right away, I see a huge weakness to Infernape and Scizor, particularly the latter. I would suggest straight away to use Babiri Berry on Tyranitar as it can lure in Scizor's Bullet Punch. Contrary to what you stated, I think switching out Latias is certainly a risk many people would be willing to take as they might predict you to Crunch or possibly set up. To accompany this change, I would switch Stone Edge to Fire Punch, as Crunch is likely hitting everything hard enough as it is, and what isn't can be revenged by my substitute to Mamoswine. A second possible change is to simply add Hidden Power Fire on Celebi, limiting the amount of switch-ins Scizor has. I notice you lack Speed on this team which can be a major problem when dealing with Dragon Dance, or simply fast Pokemon in general. Since you have a weakness to Ice, I would suggest adding Choice Scarf Jirachi over Mamoswine. This provides a much more reliable revenge killer to many of the threats you probably fear right now, or at the very least, an answer to DD Salamence (who can and will set up on Latias trapped in the wrong move, or Gliscor who at best can Toxic it). Scarf Jirachi isn't the perfect answer to your Infernape problem but with smart switching and maybe a flinch (which is in your favor), it will go down in no time.

Thanks. i didnt like Mamoswine on this team at all. Scarf Rachi seems like a better option. i will test it out, and if i like it then will edit it onto this team. Also, i dont know about babiri berry, but i will test it out.

You have a huge scizor weakness, an SD scizor can take out every memeber of your team, only gliscor can take a hit, and gliscor is 2hkoed by bullet punch.

Tyranitar needs a babri berry + fire punch, this draws in scizor and takes him out.

I would also change mamoswine to gyrados, gyrados counters scizor effectively and DD t-tar + dd gyrados is an effective combo and they can set up on each others counters and resisit each others weaknesses. E.g. gyrados can set up on scizor, and tyranitar can set up on scarf thunderbolt pokemon e.g. scarf latias.

However you will need a way of taking on scarf Jirachi, as scarf raichi can also give the team some trouble.
