Hello everyone,
I haven't been playing competitively in a very long time and even back then I played only sporadically. But the start of Scarlet and Violet somehow made me want to try again and for my first team I found a team online that I copied and after some testing tweaked to my liking but I am still not completely happy with it. But here it is:
Pawmot @ Leppa Berry
Ability: Iron Fist
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Revival Blessing
- Mach Punch
- Volt Switch
- Ice Punch
Pawmot main reason to be there is to use Revival Blessing to bring back 1 or in the best case 2 Pokemon that can deal with the remaining Pokemon of the opponent. Besides that it has the priority move in Mach punch and sometimes volt switch can help getting hits on Annihilape
Annihilape @ Leftovers
Ability: Defiant
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 232 SpD / 28 Spe
Careful Nature
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Rage Fist
- Taunt
My main Sweeper. I try to get it behind Screens take hits and sweep with Rage fist. Taunt is for those status moves or set ups. Drain Punch for recovery purposes. The Tera Type I chose to not risk getting burned but I am open for suggestions. The neat thing is that thanks to revival blessing getting killed as Annihilape is not so Bad as it means a revived one gets a higher boost for rage fist
Dondozo @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Liquidation
- Curse
- Heavy Slam
This one wasn't in the original team but I felt that I couldn't deal well with Setup sweeper so an Unaware Dondozo was my answer. Also he is quite bulky especially after one or two curses. Earth is particularly good against Gholdengo while Heavy slam is for fairies or when I am way heavier than the opponent. I sometimes Tera him for more resistances. I am not sure if EV wise I should go more defensive maybe. But since exchanging it for Hattarene it saved me some games already.
Grimmsnarl @ Light Clay
Ability: Prankster
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 248 SpD / 8 Spe
Careful Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Taunt
- Parting Shot
Almost always my lead except when I see Szicor or Lokix want to prio-kill me. It likes to set up screens, deny setupers and if possible also switch out with parting shot into one of my sweepers to sponge a hit.
Cyclizar @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Rapid Spin
- Shed Tail
- Taunt
My spinner but the one I am least content with right now. Spins, can knock off items and switch out with a sub. I am just not sure if being so fast helps with Shed Tail since there is a high chance it breaks mediately upon switch in. I am open for changes here.
Volcarona @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
Tera Type: Grass
EVs: 248 HP / 108 Def / 152 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Morning Sun
- Fiery Dance
- Giga Drain
My second sweeper and a set up sweeper in that. Also I already got quite some surprise KOs when terrastilizing into grass type giga drain switched in Pokemon. Flame Body has come in clutch also more than once already. Here I don't know if I should keep Morning Sun or take a coverage move instead.
That should be it. Every kind of advice would be kindly appreciated
If I need to add anything please let me know
