My Spartacus Team - Bringer of the Rain

Spartacus #186. Politoed @leftovers
Nature: Modest | Ability: Drizzle
IV: 31/31/31/31/31/31
EV: 252 HP 252 SpAtt 4 SpDef | Level: 100
Moves: Hydro Pump | Ice Beam | Toxic | Protect

The Bringer of Rain in my team. Depending on the opponent's first choice, I'd go with toxic + protect or Hydro Pump / Ice beam. I use it for sweep some or stall others. He is an surprise attacker. I like to keep him a double agent. Sometimes I like to use him to stall with Protect + Toxic, but depending on the other opponent (if fire or rock or ground) I'd go with Hydro Pump. If Dragon of Grass, Ice beam.

Sashimi #73. Tentacruel @blacksludge
Nature: Bold | Ability: Rain Dish
EV: 252 HP 242 Def 16 Spe | Level: 100
Moves: Toxic | Rapid Spin | Protect | Hydro Pump

My silent & slow killer. He is a staller. Rapid Spin to stop entry annoyin hazards + Hydro Pump to kill the providers of EH. Again, he exists for Protect + Toxic while black sludge + Rain Dish provides a good health backup every turn. Dont know yet about Hydro Pump. Would like some ideas.

#121. Starmie @leftovers
Nature: Timid | Ability: Natural Cure
EV: 4 HP 253 SpAtt 253 Spe | Level: 100
Moves: Hydro Pump | Thunderbolt | Ice Beam | Hidden Power Fire

Little star(mie) here is my offensive player. Can deal with the very most kinds of pokemon. A very versatile soldier. Its not lettin' me down so far. She is my first sweeper option. I'm confident starmie will strike first on the surprise.

#149. Dragonite @leftovers
Nature: Modest | Ability: Multiscale
EV: 252 HP 252 SpAtt 4 Spe | Level: 100
Moves: Hurricane | Protect | Hidden Power Ice | Dragon Pulse

Good old times here can deal with rain team threats that starmie cant sometimes handle. Its Hurricane is most devastating against annoying opponents that could beat me without carefullness.

#454. Toxicroak @Lifeorb
Nature: Adamant | Ability: Dry Skin
EV: 4 HP 252 Att 252 Spe | Level: 100
Moves: Sucker Punch | Fake Out | Drain Punch | Taunt

My ugly friend is beautiful inside. He exists to win a eventual weather war. Can deal against some hazards. I'm having trouble with his move set and I would like your suggestions.

#94. Gengar @leftovers
Nature: Timid | Ability: Levitate
EV: 4 HP 252 SpA 252 Spe | Level: 100
Moves: Shadow Ball | Disable | Thunder | Protect

Last but not least is our dead but very alive Gengar. Its disable can put the opponent to do some thinkin about his/her strategy while I get time to win the battle. His Shadowball + Thunder (under rain) can OHKO some annoying pokemons.

So..please, RMT! I'm all open to different thoughts, advices, changes. I posted my team here so you can help me improve it. Thanks a lot!

you have 3 Pokemon weak to Electric moves and none of your pokemon can take it well. Hurricane will hurt your team a lot too :< I think you should change either Tenta for Starmie with rapid spin, or keep Tenta and change starmie for another pokemon (like tornadus?) good luck with your team :)

What can I change then? I'd like your help =)
Try to talk about what that poke does specifically for your team and why you choose them specifically. Its often helpful to a rater if you explained your ev spreads and move choices as well.

Oh I see. Sorry I didnt know. I'm gonna give it a deep research on the moves.

Moves apart, are these pokemons a good rain team overall?

Edit: just made an improvement on the description. Hope I made my point on the choices. I'm a begginner on pokemon wi fi battles.

You're extremely weak to Rotom-W and Electric types in general. You should replace Starmie with Ferrothorn, as it gives you a check to them and Starmie isn't necessary as it is the weakest link of your team, Ferrothorn can tank Dragon-type attacks to, something no other member on your team can afford. Set:

Ferrothorn@Leftovers | Iron Barbs
Nature Sassy | 252 Hp / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Power Whip / Stealth Rock / Leech Seed / Thunder Wave

I don't see the point of running Hydro Pump on Tentacruel, replace it with Scald for the burn chance.

What's the point of your Dragonite set? Hidden Power Ice is horrible, even more considering Dragonite has Ice Beam, in my opinion, you should replace it with this set, as it's still bulky but it can hit many more threats:

Dragonite@Leftovers | Multiscale
Nature Calm | 252 Hp / 108 SpA / 148 SpD
Hurricane / Thunder / Dragon Tail / Roost

Since your team is really weak to fighting types, especially Terrakion, you should replace Gengar (which is not doing much for your team anyway) for Gliscor. It helps not only with physical threats, but with Stall teams too, thanks to Swords Dance and Taunt

Gliscor@Toxic Orb | Poison Heal
Nature Impish | 252 Hp / 184 Def / 72 Spe
Swords Dance / Earthquake / Ice Fang / Taunt

Finally, as you say you're not confident with your Toxicroak set, I think you should replace it with a standard Swords Dance one, which works much better and can open holes for Gliscor and the other members on your team. Here's the set:

Toxicroak@Life Orb | Dry Skin
Nature Adamant | 4 Hp / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Swords Dance / Cross Chop / Sucker Punch / Ice Punch

Good Luck!
