My Strange Starter Team

Ok, im gonna start my new pokemon game, and wanna make a team that host the 3 starters and Lucario in the end. Wanna maim the maingame, then even use them in the Battle tower. Here's my team so far.

Rotom-c @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Leaf Storm
- Shadow Ball
- Discharge
- Substitute
---
My opener. I wanted a good electric, and apparantly, rotum is one of the only dueltypes and immune to ground. I gave him Sub in last spot so online, he can setup it on swaps/nothreats and absorb then defeat other ghost, including gengar. Trying Discharge over Tbolt for the paralazion increase, Shadowball for Stab, and Leafstrom stops those rock/grounds who think this thing will be walled.

on ghost or dark if not subed: Empoleon or Lucario. on steel: Infernape or Torterra

Mamoswine (M) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Oblivious
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 SAtk
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Rock Slide
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Superpower

My second filler. Another Dueltype, I also required a fun icetype. Standered set from what i've read, and Superpower gives him something for Blissey or other normals.

on fire: Empoleon. on fighting: rotom or torterra(backup)
---
Lucario (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/6 SAtk
Lonely nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Aura Sphere
- Thunderpunch
- Ice Punch
- Earthquake
One of my favorite new Pokemon, just from his looks (and being Steel/Fighting doesnt hurt either). Lucario has this strange set of moves to cover a SE attack on nearly any Pokemon. Will probably swap LO for Expert Belt, and when online, a phyical fighting move like CC or Brick Break.

No need to swap with this moveset, he covers all types! ;D
---
Torterra (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Seed Bomb
- Superpower
A starter, of course, thus a focus of my team. I thought Impish would be a great nature, but after getting nailed by so many fire and ice moves, may change its nature. Seedbomb/EQ for STAB, Rockslide for Flyers/Fire/nonwater Ice, and Superpower to hit ice as well as Blissey and....not sure what else....
Ice/Fire/Flying: Empoleon
---
Infernape (M) @ Muscle Band
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Thunderpunch
- Grass Knot
- Close Combat
- Fire Punch
Starter #2. Phycical veriant to get the most out of Thunderpunch, thus hitting Flyers/water. Not sure why Grass knot, but not sure why not...
Water: Torterra. Flying: Empoleon
---
Empoleon (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/6 SAtk
Naughty nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Brine
- Earthquake
- Grass Knot
- Ice Beam
Last starter. Went for Phyical Veriant here as well for EQ extra damage, but may go specail (swap Brine for Surf). Still unsure why people advise Grass not, but on Emp it makes sence for fellow waters

Fighting: Rotom
---
Every single one of these exist soley to cover all the bases of offence, to deliver a Superefective hit to every poke the come across too. They swap around if somehow the current poke incant deal a SE hi,t, expecially if they can resist to incoming attack.
Also have some alternates id like to use (mamo and rotom are the fillers atm) Advice welcome.

Ok. Before people rate, you have to give a wider discription. Play with the team and tell exactly how it works.

Discribe each pokemon more. 2 sentances are not satisfying enough for people to rate them. Also, say why you chose this ________ and how ________ works.

Discribe synnergy (the way the team helps one-another), and discribe stradegy. What's the goal of your team.

Untill you do those things, no one will give you, or your team the time of day.

!Remember That!

PS: Never put over 2 starters on 1 team!

Since your Empoleon has only one physical move (earthquake), I might suggest switching to a Rash Nature (+SpAtk -SpDef), but if you want more damage on Earthquke, keep Naughty. Grass Knot is good to have on Empoleon to get rid of threats that can wall him such as Milotic and Vaporeon. Surf is always a reliable STAB that you can always count on for a lot of damage. With your moveset, I suggest you change your EV spread such that:

Empoleon @ leftovers
Rash/Naughty 252 SpAtk/160 Atk/6 Speed/88 Atk
Earthquake
Grass Knot
Ice Beam
Surf

If you want a physical sweeping set, Empoleon learns Swords Dance, and you could use this other moveset.
Empoleon @ Leftovers
Naughty/Adamant 252Atk/252 Speed/6 SpAtk
Swords Dance
Aqua Jet/Waterfall
Earthquake
Grass Knot/Ice Beam/Avalanche

Grass Knot on Naughty, Avalanche on Adamant
The only reason why I put Grass Knot/Ice Beam and Naughty was to rid yourself of physical walls from ruining your sweeping frenzy.

If your Empoleon has only one physical move (earthquake), I might suggest switching to a Rash Nature (+SpAtk -SpDef). Grass Knot is not very effective to put on Empoleon for the reasons that Infernape has it already. If you want your Empoleon to be a real killer, teach it substitute, and give it a Salac/Petaya Berry depending on your preference. Brine has 65 BP. When HP is half or lower, it doubles to 130. Take into account of STAB and Torrent you could have a real killer with a 292.5 BP Brine!
Nido, do not suggest if you dont know what you are doing, Brine has 130 BP against opponent who have half or less of their HP.

OK, now Infernape's turn. You should try switching up your EV spread, to have 192 Speed, since you should only need enough to outrun + base 100's like Salamence, Flygon, Zapdos and friends. If you want your Ape to be a physical variant, you could switch to a Choice Band to hit foes even harder. Since you're planning to get rid of Grass Knot (If you don't, switch nature to Naive), I sugggest U-Turn for purposes of scouting while switching to an appropriate counter. Some leftover EV's from Speed should be placed in SpAtk if you're using Grass Knot, if not, splurge all 252 EV's into the Choice Band set. Fire Punch Should be replaced for a more powerful Fire move, Blaze Kick or Flare Blitz.

For Example:
Infernape @ Choice Band
Jolly 252 Atk/252 Speed/4 Hp
Close Combat
Flare Blitz/Blaze Kick
U-Turn
ThunderPunch

or

Infernape @ Life Orb/Expert Belt
Naive/Hasty 252 Atk/192 Speed/64 SpAtk
Close Combat
Flare Blitz/Blaze Kick
Grass Knot
ThunderPunch

Blaze Kick is an option for high crit ratio but somewhat inaccurate, Flare Blitz for higher power, but recoil can hurt you too.

Nido, do not suggest if you dont know what you are doing, Brine has 130 BP against opponent who have half or less of their HP.

Oh snap, sorry 'bout that... I honestly didn't know that until now...Use Surf instead of that stupid idea...sorry about that...I edited my post, for better, accurate movesets.
