This team, as derpy as it may seem, has tons of wins under its belt. I spent all night testing it out. Yeah, that's right. In 30 games, it had 2 losses. That's good, for those luddites who lie about never losing. I admit I can lose, but it's rare with this lot.
Let's ramp things off.
Charizard(F) @ Charizardite
252 SpA, 252 Spe, 6 HP
Modest Nature
Blaze
Moves:
Flamethrower
Solar Beam
Air slash / dragon pulse
Roost
Charizard is a titanic brute. Flamethrower is a powerful STaB that can one-shot bane-of-all-fun Gliscor when mega evolved, but it also has another STaB to counter Groudon- Air slash, flinching him out so he can't annihilate all the faces. Don't complain about Solar Beam, it's won me out of MANY corners- and nobody sees the Grass laser coming. Also, Mega's drought means no charge for it. Devastation.
Dragonite(M)@ Leftovers
252 ATK, 252 Spe, 6 HP
Adamant Nature
Multiscale
Moves:
Dragon Claw
Extreme Speed
Iron Head
Fly
Not all that useful, but a nice addition at times. His speed and mass ATK maks him a devastating force for finishing people off, and his diverse moves- Drsgon claw for dragons, iron head for fairy/ice, Ext Speed for speed freaks- makes him a powerful force if used correctly. Unfortunatly, he doesn't normally last that long, as they always have that right type on him.
Magnezone @ Air Balloon
252 SpA, 252 HP, 6 DEF
Bold Nature
Analytic
Moves:
Thunder
Volt Switch
Rain Dance
Flash Cannon
Magnezone is a beast. He boasts 11 resistances and 2 immunities, meaning only 5 types actually do anything to his overwhelming defense. He is the most well-typed pokemon in the game, which is a fact. Flash Cannon is a nice addition, Volt Switch is a jab-and run, and Thunder is for high SpA. I added Rain Dance to weaken fire and make Thunder unable to miss. Yep, you can take another type off of his danger zone.
Gardevoir(F) @ Choice Specs
252 SpA, 242 HP, 6 Spe
Calm Nature
Synchronize
Moves:
Dazzling Gleam
Hyper Voice
Psychic
Shadow Ball
Gardevoir is a pretty good special sweeper, while doubling over as an effective wall for numerous types (Dragon, Fighting and poison are all pretty ineffective, though poison does Neutral now)
Anyway, Psychic is a STaBy blast, Dazzling Gleam kills countless dragons and Hyper Voice avoids substitutes. Shadow Ball is a space filler, but we all need coverage sometimes. Only issue is, the Specs. While they DO let us one-shot almost everything we hit, we only normally get a couple of shots before something immune to us comes in.
Machamp(M) @ Lum Berry
252 ATL, 252 HP, 6 SpD
Adamant Nature
No Guard
Moves:
Dynamic Punch
Stone Edge
Return
Counter
Machamp is a highlord of power. You can sweep entire teams with this guy if they aren't thikning straight, so psych them out. He can't miss, he has mixed types that are all relatively strong or effective, and he can tank hits. If he was sent out first, he can go head-on with Mega Gengar, even one with Psychic. Although they Do always use destiny bond :P. Oh, and you can OHKO Tyranitar. Yeah. We lurv Macho MANchamp.
Gyarados(M) @ Assault Vest (Shiny)
252 HP, 252 ATK, 6 SpD
Careful Nature
Moxie
Moves:
Earthquake
Waterfall
Crunch
Ice Fang
Gyarados is a beefcake wall with cannons built in to it's forcefield-protected third layer of titanium-laced doom brick. His typing gives him only ONE weakness, which he can usually one-shot. Also, his HP and SpD make him an incredible force, although Thunder almost always OHKO's him (Thunderbolt leaves him with 10 HP though :D) I know, Specially defensive monster wasn't a great idea. But turns out, it works! And for those who recommend a high attack force over my Betty, leave now- 'Cause Betty has beaten those countless times. Also, I don't need attack monstrocity- I already have it! His ATK is maxed, Moxie boosts it even more, and his moves cover ALL single types. While an ATk boost item COULD work, i'd rather not. MAss SpD with already good ATK works better ,as I last longer while doing near-equal DmG.
Welp, enjoy kittens. Before I leave, imma compile you on some behind-the-scenes info.
Flaws:
Electric can cause a few issues if used well.
Otherwise none individually, but a well-strung mixture does generate competition.
Near- makes:
Garchomp
Reason: She is very strong and has some good typing.
Explanation: Dragonite is faster and has better typed moves.
Mega Manectrike
Reason: Fast and strong, with a nice new adjustment to the types.
Explanation: 9/10 times Mega Charizard wrecks havoc anyway, being faster usually and OHKOing most opposition. And he would just consume my mega stone, which I usually start with, making him pointless.
Tyranitar
Reason: This one is obvious. Tyranitar is a beast, with some nasty attack and Sandstorm bonus.
Explanation: Sandstorm kills most of my team too, and he is weak to fighting. Dragonite is better for my final fill in pokemon.
Skarmory
Reason: A nice wall, who can defog things.
Explanition: I don't like Skarmory, and landmine-type moves aren't that good on me anyway.
Blastoise:
Reason: I like Blastoise. He's a turtle. With guns. 'Nuff said.
Explanation: Super laser dragon works better.
Bye.
