SM OU My Tapu-Lele Offense

Hi, it's me again but now in SM, i want to show you a team that i made 2 days ago, seeing the title of this threat you'll know which pokemon i'm talking about, if you like this team let me know it, and if you find better options to use in the team let me know too.

First, i wanted to start with a Pokemon that i've been seeing that is too powerful, Tapu Lele breaks most of the Pokemon with a Psychic Move boosted by the Psychic terrain.

786.png

Because Tapu Lele is walled by many Steel Types like Scizor-Mega, Ferrothorn and Celesteela, i need something that can help me with those Pokemon, i used Magnezone because it traps them, Celesteela is a little more hard to trap.

786.png
462.png
445.png

Magnezone cannot deal with Steel Types, it is not always the best switch in against most of them, it can be suprised by Superpower Scizor, Celesteela Earthquake or the rarely Bulldoze Ferrothorn, then i added Garchomp for this job, With Rocky Helmet can switch against Bisharp too and everyone of them, also now i have a Stealth Rock Setter and Phazer.

462.png

I am a little weak to some Special Attackers so i need a pokemon so that can take those attacks, Tornadus-Therian was so useful for that job in ORAS OU, that's the reason why i wanted to use it here with AV.

The Speed Control is always necesary, i added Lopunny-Mega because it may boost itself with Power Up Punch, unfortunately this mega hasn't been released.

Then i added Pheromosa, it makes better the work of Lopunny-Mega, keeps momentum with U-turn, is more faster than Lopunny and it has more coverage moves though is more fragile.

Finally i decided to use Amoonguss to have a Water Resist and it keeps momentum too with Spore.

The team with Amoonguss was so weak to Charizard X, i haven't seen it too much but is a hug threat anyway, also i needed a hazard remover for Tornadus, Tapu Fini is the best option for this, and it can take Charizard-X Attacks.

I've tested the team and i had very good results.

THE TEAM

tapulele.gif

Tapu Lele @ Choice Specs
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Moonblast
- Focus Blast
- Thunderbolt

With Choice Specs and Psychic Terrain Tapu Lele becomes in a Dangerous Weapon spaming Psychics with STAB, hits everything by Psychics, Steels and Dark Types, Moonblast is its Secondary STAB, hits Dark Types and Dragon Types, unfortunately it is not boosted by Psychic Terrain, Focus Blast is to deal with Steel Types that are weak to Fight Moves, Thunderbolt is basically for Skarmory and Celesteela but it can be used to deal with Bulky Waters, i use it with 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Timid to deal more damage as posible.

garchomp.gif

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 240 HP / 176 Def / 92 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
- Fire Blast

My Stealth Rock Setter, it's used to be a Switch in against Physical Attackers with its Rough Skin and Rocky Helmet, Earthquake is its first STAB Move and it deals a lot of damage to every pokemon that doesn't resist, Dragon Tail is its Second STAB but is used as a Phazing move, removing every Pokemon that tries to boost itself, Fire Blast is for Scizors, Ferrothorns and those Steels that resist the EQ, the 240 HP and 176 Def with Impish Nature are to take better the Physical Moves, 92 Evs in Speed to outspeed Pokemon that have 70 base stat in speed.

magnezone.gif

Magnezone @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 Spe
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Flash Cannon
- Thunderbolt

With this Pokemon i complete the Dragon-Fairy-Steel core, Volt Switch allows it to keep the momentum and is a great STAB Move, Hidden Power Fire is the main reason why it can trap Scizor and Ferrothorn, Flash Cannon is its other STAB that serves to deal with annoying Fairy Types, Thunderbolt is the most Powerful move that it has, Choice Scarf with Timid Nature to outspeed some Pokemon, Magnet Pull to trap Steel Types, finally the EVs are 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe to hit harder as possible while we have the max Speed.

tornadus-therian.gif

Tornadus-Therian @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 96 HP / 160 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Hurricane
- Superpower
- U-turn
- Knock Off

One of the best Pivotes in ORAS OU is back, with Assault Vest and Regenerator let it to take most of the Special attackers except Electric Types, Hurricane is its STAB Move that can take down many Pokemon like Grass Types, unfortunately it has a Accuracy of 70%, i decided to use Superpower over Heat Wave because i alredy have two Pokemon that use Fire Moves, even with Superpower avoids the trap of Ttar, U-Turn keeps momentum and deal some damage, Knock Off take down their Items, 96 EVs in Special Attack to take better the Special Attacks, 252 in Speed to outspeed everything that are more slow than it and the Hasty Nature to deal more damage with the Physical Attacks, finally 160 EVs in Special Attack to hit very hard with Hurricane.

pheromosa.gif

Pheromosa @ Life Orb
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- High Jump Kick
- U-turn
- Ice Beam
- Poison Jab

I think this Pokemon will be in Ubers like Tapu Lele, but while it is in OU we must take adventage of it, Life Orb is an item that boost its attacks, turning it into a Powerhouse, with Tapu Lele's Psychic Terrain protect it of the Priority Moves, High Jump Kick is a STAB Move that deals a lot of damage on most of the Pokemon, U-Turn being the secondary STAB also serves to keep momentum, Ice Beam take down Landorus-Therian, Garchomp and Gliscor, Poison Jab is for the Fairies that walls Pheromosa, With Beast Boost it can Boost its Speed when it defeat a Pokemon, The Naive Nature and 252 Atk and 252 Spe are to deal the most damage while it can outspeed its rivals ans deal more damage with Ice Beam.

tapufini.gif

Tapu Fini @ Leftovers
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 248 HP / 192 Def / 16 SpD / 52 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Moonblast
- Taunt
- Defog

Tapu Fini is one of the best defensive Pokemon that gen 7 brought us, with Mysty Surge protect us of the Status, The EVs in speed are put to outspeed Defensive Landorus-Therian, 248 EVs in HP and 192 in Def to take better the Physical Attackers, 16 EVs in SpD with Calm Nature let it to take better too the Scald of Pokemon such as Keldeo, Leftovers are its only recovery, Scald deals a little damage and it can burn Pokemon when the Misty Terrain has gone, Moonblast is its Second STAB and can drop their Special Attack, Taunt is to stop some Status Moves, Defog removes entry hazards from both fields.

tapulele.gif

Tapu Lele is a Dangerous Weapon as i said above, so my only switches to it are Magnezone and Tornadus-Therian, Tornadus can be wear down by one Psyshock in Psychic Terrain while Magnezone has no Recovery.

pheromosa.gif

Pheromosa is another threat, my only safe switch is Tapu Fini, which can be wear down by Poison Jab lol.
charizard-megay.gif

Covering Zard X i can't cover Zard Y, i could revenge kill it but is too dangerous anyway, my only ''safe switches'' is Tornadus Therian, Chomp or Tapu Fini, fortunately it isn't seen too much :).

Tapu Lele @ Choice Specs
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Moonblast
- Focus Blast
- Thunderbolt

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet

- Taunt
- Defog

OTHER OPTIONS

gyarados.gif
gyarados-mega.gif

Gyarados Mega can work as a Win Condition over Tapu Fini using Dragon Dance, however it cannot switch against the Scald very well though with the offensive pressure can deal with most of the Pokemon.

Hey, wasup, i have some advices for your team. Before saying those i have to say that when u play Offense the best thing that u can do is not use a defogger, cuz u dont have the time for that.

So, this are the advices:

1-You can use TwistedSpoon Lele with Psyshock, that thing is so good. Lele has no switch-ins in OU (or at least not one 100% reliable), so u can hit really hard with this, and seem like Specs. Hidden Power Fire is a better option than Tbolt, but u can use it.

2-LeleMosa is a very good ofensive core, specially when using Scarf Phero. Use Scarf Phero in the late game and to revenge kill everything.

3-I encourage u to use lead Garchomp with Focus Sash and SD. It is a very reliable rock setter with a lot of power, and the ability to beat Defensive Lando and deal with Bleye.

4-Use AV Zone. With this u will have kind of switch-in to Lele and a good answer to Ash Greninja, and u still trap skarmory and celestela.

5-Dont use Tornadus-T, is not that good like it was in ORAS. I encourage u to use Double Dance Fly Landorus. This thing is amazing and is a very good Pokémon to use in Offense teams, a really good win condition.

6-As i said before i dont thing that is a good idea to use a hazard removal mon in Offense (at least u are using Pinsir or something like that), so lets use something else. U have to options that check all your threats. The first one y Mega Metagross, it deals with Lele and check it, it does a lot to Zard-Y and dont die to Phero's HJK +1 in most cases, and u can use the random Bullet Punch that is a good option in this crazy metagame, but u have a Lele so is a bad option. The other mon is Ash Greninja or Protean with Spikes Greninja. The first one check all the Pokémon that are a problem, while Protean setup Spikes and still does a lot of damage.

8-There is another option. U can use Ferrothorn and Ash Greninja instead Pheromosa and Magnezone. This makes you less weak to opposing Pheromosa and Greninja, but there is a problem: Celesteela. U choose what option is better for u.

So, here is the team with the changes

First anything, thanks for your suggestions, next, those suggestions seems to be to turn the team that i made into another team that i've seen before, i'd like to use greninja over Tapu Fini but i want a safe switch against Scald, then Tornadus-Therian is a good answer to deal with many Special attackers, the AV Zone sounds like a good option, maybe i'll use it later, Chomp Rocky Helmet is my switch against Steel Types like Sharp, so i don't think i should change the set, then Ferrothorn maybe trapped and if i change Magnezone i won't have anything to trap them, Mega Metagross would be a good option to wallbreak but i prefer pheromosa LO, concluding, the only think that i would change is Tapu Lele, if i cannot defog i'd like to use something to take Water Type Moves which the first team doesn't have bar Magnezone.

I prefer Magnezone with Choice Specs, at least make a Celeestela Okho also do more damage with Volt Swich, so Magnezone only serves to trappare to another and pkm average, with regard to the purposes and rather daring nature, Scald fini and excellent especially if Tapu put Bulu in the field and you get a nice burn, Tornadus-Therian I think is still strong, after all, an AV which I found very strong but unfortunately Magearna and weak ground moves, you can opt for Ferrothorn instead of Garchomp and HP put Landarus ice for Thornadus.
