my team is failing!

Hey everyone. A long long time ago I posted a team that needed help. After getting some help here, I won a fair share of Shoddy battles. But now, I seem to be stuck at the same rating and often going even lower. So please, HELP ME WITH MY TEAM AGAIN =]

@ Wide Lens
Speed Boost
Modest
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

-Air Slash
-Bug Buzz
-Hypnosis
-Protect

Yanmega has always been one of my favorite leads. Mainly because he can attack against almost all taunt users or put his opponent to sleep. I usually protect the first turn (if I'm slower) and then proceed to sleep or attack. At some point, he can become a speicla sweeper. Wide Lens helps the accuracy of both Air Slash and Hypnosis.

@ Yache Berry
Sand Veil
Jolly
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

-Swords Dance
-Dragon Claw
-Earthquake
-Fire Fang

Garchomp is my physical sweeper. A pretty standard Yache set right? Self-explanitory.

@ Choice Scarf
Adaptability
Timid
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe

-Tri-Attack
-Ice Beam
-Dark Pulse
-Thunderbolt

Porygon-Z is my speical sweeper and revenge killer. I went Timid for a little extra speed. Ice Beam for dragons and grounds, Dark Pulse mainly for ghosts, and I chose Thunderbolt over HP Fighting mainly for Gyarados.

@ Leftovers
Sturdy
Relaxed
252 HP / 162 Atk / 96 Def

-Spikes
-Rapid Spin
-Gyro Ball
-Explosion

Forretress is my physical wall, spiker, and spinner. Sometimes I feel he has a hard time filling all of these roles, but I need all of them. Gyro Ball is for quick opponents and Explosion for when he can't take anymore.

@ Leftovers
Natural Cure
Bold
148 HP / 252 Def / 108 SpA

-Seismic Toss
-Softboiled
-Ice Beam
-Thunder Wave

Blissey is my special wall. Thunder Wave is to slow down opponent and Ice beam is for dragons and those I can't hit with Thunder Wave. Seismic Toss and Softboiled are a given.

@ Leftovers
Serene Grace
Calm
252 HP / 6 Def / 252 SpD

-Air Slash
-Aura Sphere
-Roost
-Thunder Wave / Nasty Plot

Togekiss is my "extra" but fills the role of an annoyer. The EV's are to ensure that Togekiss can take an Ice Beam or Thunderbolt and then live to Thunder Wave. From there on, Air Slash flinch please. Now that I think about it, though, the last slot could go to Nasty Plot since I'd hope that Blissey would have already paralyzed my opponent.

PLEASE RATE MY TEAM! :toast:

it actually looks fine, but seeing as how garchomp is your only physical attacker, once that is done with, your team is unfortunately walled by the likes of calm mind celebi, and other sp. def walls. also, with forry and p-z gone, your team can be subject to scarfchomps rampage. btw, p-z is easily walled by blissey.

try giving hp ice to yanmega, or you can redo togekiss for a tri-attack/nasty plot or scarf MS. you can also get rid of togekiss altogether since its your "extra" and replace it with something that covers up your teams weaknesses.

this is probably bad advice seeing as how i dont tell you to replace any pokes with anything else. sorry, but GL

Leave Yanmega he is a great lead but take off wide lens for life orb or wiseglass. I'd use wiseglasses. Wide lens sacrifices too much power imo. Hypnosis is good for counters and protect you need just in case they outspeed you.

thanks for the advice so far. I'm thinking of replacing Togekiss. I'm thinking of giving his spot to either Weavile or Gyarados. any opinions?

*I'd use the Revenge Kill Weavile set with Pursuit, Ice Punch, Brick Break, and Night Slash or the BulkyGyara set with Taunt, Dragon Dance, Ice Fang, and Earthquake.* should I use either of these???

Physical attackers, Heracross in general, are the pokemon that trouble this team. MixApe is something that can bother you too, it destroys 4 of your pokemon with ease, and you have nothing to protect yourself with really. Gyarados would be ideal, but I would run the SleepTalk Gyarados, being bulky enough to handle Heracross and Lucario, and being an amazing pokemon when RestTalking. It went something like this;

Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 212 HP/8 Atk/184 Def/104 Spd
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

It's from Taylor, and I have personally had alot of success with it. As for MixApe, I would not worry about it much, it can be handled with the Yache Chomp and hitting it back with EQ, and Gyarados is also able to eliminate it with Waterfall.
