My Trick Room Team

I'm using this team and trying to improve it after every battle I make. I'm not encoutering many problems so far, but I want some advice in some things that I will put below.

Emboar
Ability: Reckless
Nature: Brave
Item: Leftovers
-Hammer Arm
-Wild Charge
-Stone Edge
-Flare Blitz
252 HP/252 Att/ 4 Sp def

My physical attacker and so far had proved to be a useful and bulky pokemon as he helped me to kill 3 pokemon of the other teams many many times. I think his attacks have a good coverage and the reason I use Stone Edge instead of Head Smash is because the crit rate of stone edge helped me more in my battles and he already loses a lot of HP after using his other attacks.

I don't know if I use leftovers or a choice band on this guy. His attacks do a lot of damage but have recoil and with the reckless ability the damage he takes just increase. I rather use leftovers to minimize the recoil damage and to set him free to use his other attacks wich helps me a lot as he's my only physical attacker, but in some battles I just need the extra damage of the choice band( if the opponent has a special defense wall for example).

Scrafty
Ability: Shed Skin
Nature: Sassy
Item: Leftovers
-Drain Punch
-Bulk Up
-Crunch
-Rest
252 HP/252 Sp def/ 4 def

I was having problems especially with chansey(eviolite), so I changed emboar for this guy and he works really well in my team, he's slow, strong, status immune, bulky and regenerate his life, I mean what can I still want? He's also one of my attackers and with swampert I think that now this team is balanced(special and not special sweepers).

Empoleon
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Quiet
Item: Petaya Berry
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Grass Knot
-HP(Ground)(was earthquake before)
252 HP/252 Sp Att/ 4 Sp def

One of my special attacker and had proved to be an awesome pokemon too. His movepool is awesome and helped me to win a lot of battles specially after the petaya berry is activated with torrent and rain(politoed).

For my empoleon, I don't know if It's better to change the earthquake for HP ground as my empoleon is a Special Attacker, what you guys think and what is the max base power of HP?

Swampert
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Brave
Item: Expert Belt
-Waterfall
-Avalanche
-Earthquake
-Hammer Arm
252 HP/252 Att/ 4 def

I was having problems because my team relied on special attacks to win, so I changed Empoleon for this guy. What you guys think about it? Everything, movepool, item, nature, ev's spread.

Dusclops
Ability: Pressure
Nature: Sassy
Item: Eviolite
-Pain Split
-Substitute
-Trick Room
-Will-0-Wisp
252HP/252 Sp Def/ 4 Def

My wall and trick room setter, don't have much to say about this guy. Pretty bulky pokemon and the Will-0-Wisp helped me to kill some troublesome pokemons.

Considering a replacement for dusclops I took the gothorita advice and tryed it out, but it didn't work well because reuniclus is a psychc type too and then my trick room setters would be raped by insect moves. So, I thought about cofagrigus and so far it worked pretty well, same movepool as gothorita, almost same def and special def, leftovers and ghost type.

Cofagrigus
Ability: Mummy
Nature: Sassy
Item: Leftovers
-Heal Block
-Toxic
-Protect
-Trick Room
252 HP/248 Sp Def/8 Def

Politoed
Ability: Drizzle
Nature: Quiet
Item: Life Orb
-Ice Beam
-Focus Blast
-Surf
-HP(Eletric)
252 Sp Att/252 HP/4 Def

Just like empoleon her attacks have good coverage and are pretty strong because with the life orb. Her drizzle ability works really well helping Dragonite attacks to hit everytime and increasing the damage of my water attacks. She can take some hits too.

Dragonite
Ability: Multiscale
Nature: Quiet
Item: Choice Specs
-Draco Meteor
-Surf
-Thunder
-Hurricane
252 Sp Att/ 252 HP/ 4 Def

This guy totally destroys. Everything that can resist the other attacks in the rain is obliterated with draco meteor and with the multiscale ability and trick room he is guaranteed to attack at least one time even if my opponent has some ice attack.

Reuniclus
Ability: Magic Guard
Nature: Quiet
Item: Life Orb
-Psychic
-Trick Room
-Recover
-Shadow Ball(Used to be HP fire)
252 Sp Att/ 192 HP/ 64 Def

Another trick room setter and a good sweeper as he takes no damage to anything except attacks. Phychic and HP fire to sweep, trick room to help him and his team and recover to heal the damage he takes.

I don't know what to do with my reuniclus movepool, I don't know if I use HP fire or shadow ball, shadow ball proved to be useful in many ways as I don't have any other ghost attack in my team. I was planing to change the HP eletric(never need to use it) of my politoed with HP fire(wich has proved to be useful too) and change the HP fire of my reuniclus for shadow ball.

Shadow ball proved to be better than HP fire because I always need a ghost attack in almost all my pokemon battles.

Other things:
Entry hazards haven't bored me so much as this team was intended to destroy my enemy fast because of trick room.

Last thing guys! As I never played before I would be glad if you all could help me with the EV spread of the pokemons also.

So that's the biggest problems I've been encoutering while battling and I hope you guys could give me some tips as this is my first time ever playing pokemon, I've never played before 5th gen.

Changes in bold.

I made some changes and want to know what you guys thing. My biggest worry is swampert, if you guys can help me don't be afraid to post (:

Have you considered a different item for Dragonite?

Most of your success with a Trick Room team rides on the ability to get as much done in the limited window of sweeping time Trick Room gives as possible. Running Choice Specs almost guarantees you'll end up switching out every other turn Dragonite is active, which will cut the life of your Trick Room sweep short.

If you still aren't sure wat do with Reuniclus' movepool, have you considered Focus Blast? The coverage is really valuable, and its power is high. The accuracy might be a deterrent, but it's generally worth the risk. You can do HP: Fighting, too, for the same coverage, if you don't mind the reduced power and reduced IVs.

You can probably stand a third trick roomer, too, especially considering both Reuniclus and Cofagrigus share dark and ghost weaknesses, which an opponent can easily exploit once they realize they're your only Trick Room layers.

On the topic of Cofagrigus, I don't think that's a very good set. Full stall doesn't really fly with Trick Room, Heal Block's kind of gimmicky, and it should get at least one attack. Full support movesets aren't very good, and typically only work with devices like Prankster Taunt and Encore--stuff Cofagrigus doesn't have to offer. Anything with taunt would shut it down completely, and the inability to finish stuff off really calls its usefulness into question.

Swampert is ok, but for a physical attacker I would try Marowak. It is so much powerful, as with Thick Club it reaches 568 attack and is able to switch moves. The best set is EQ, Stone Edge, Fire Punch, and Double Edge/Low Kick. The main issue with Swampert is 110 Attack is a bit low to tear through teams and net vital OHKOs. Marowak can smash through things with neutral damage, while Pert has a harder time doing so.

Alternatively, you can use CB Escavalier, which resists all the weaknesses of your TRers. This gives you potentially easy switches, as Cof/Reun will be targets of Dark, Ghost, and Bug moves, all of which Escav takes minimal damage from. After you get in, CB Megahorn threatens everything except basically Gliscor and Skarmory, allowing you to sweep unprepared teams.

Wow thank you guys! The Marowak idea is wonderful and I'll see what I can do about cofagrigus, anybody got an idea? V0x I'm new to this game and could you explain what CB means? I don't understand the Escavalier part because of that. What would be a good third trick roomer and wich item should I put on dragonite then?

CB = Choice Band. Here is the Escavalier I run on my Trick Room team:

Escavalier@Choice Band
move1: Megahorn
move2: Pursuit
move3: Headbutt (use Return)
move4: Reversal
ability: Shell Armor
nature: Brave
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Def
IVs: 0 Spe

Megahorn is the star here, just spam it. Pursuit can easy kill Latios/Latias when they attempt to switch out of their choiced Draco Meteor that you came in on. The other two moves are just filler, I use Headbutt for hilarious flinch hax under Trick Room, and Reversal for switching in late into hazards and a weak resisted attack. I'd say that 90% of the time I'm using Megahorn, as it tears through almost anything that doesn't resist it.
