Hi guys. I am posting an rmt because it's been a long time since I have had anything to do with pokemon what so ever. Anyways the team is kind of a sandstorm Trick Room Team which it's goal is to set up trick room as fast as possible and work from there eventually trying to get tyranitar in to set up a curse or 2 depending on how much time he has left and commence the sweep. My biggest problem i have faced is scizor because usually he either crushes or weakens my entire team which is the main reason for posting this team instead of scrapping it again. Out of 20 games i win 12 of them which isnt bad but i want this team to be quite solid and structural as well.
Anyways team at a glance:
Team in Detail:
1.Flipswitch (Bronzong) @ Lum Berry
Relaxed Nature
Ability:Levitate
EV:HP252/Att154/Def8/SpD96
IV:Spd0
Moves:
1.Trick Room
2.Stealth Rock
3.Gyro Ball
4.Earthquake
Comments: Bronzong is just like a flipswitch when it comes to using trick room. Batton Pass leads don't like this lead very much as it screws them over, especially Ninjask ones. As it uses protect or substitute i set up trick room and it royally bends them over from the start. They either have to batton pass with the speed stat which makes them slow or try to do a swords dance and dying on the 3rd turn usually making them quit or me automattically winning. I usually use gyro ball or earthquake depending on the which taunt lead because they'll stop me from setting up quite obviously but i can usually set up later on quite easily. However I am tempted to replace explosion over earthquake because without leftovers recovery he has a very difficult chance on coming back in later on in the game due to lack of leftovers. I also think I should remove some of the attack EV's and place them in special defence. I am open to suggestions though.
2.Tyranno (Tyranitar) @ Expert Belt
Quiet Nature
Ability:Sandstream
EV:Att252/Def6/SpA252
IV:Spd0
Moves:
1.Curse
2.Earthquake
3.Stone Edge
4.Flamethrower
Comments: This guy is the reason the whole idea of the "tricky sandstorm" team came around. If i didnt have to rely on speed to cause trouble i would be able to attack from both sides of defences, especially dealing with skarmory and scizor. I have to watch out for super power though. Curse, Stone Edge, Earthquake are self explanatory as it is. Flamethrower is for the steel type pokemon that think they can wall me such as skarm and forry.Expert belt over life orb because super effective hits get the same boost without recoil which means he won't die as easily.
3.Dopey Shit (Slowbro) @ Leftovers
Relaxed Nature
Ability:Own Tempo
EV:HP252/Def252/Def6
IV:Spd0
Moves:
1.Trick Room
2.Slackoff
3.Surf
4.Ice Beam
Comments: Slowbro is my answer to any DD gyarados, mence or kingdra who threaten to set up on the team. With his legendary defences he can switch in on any gyarados which isnt carrying taunt and set up trick room as they set up dragon dance. Forcing them to switch or be slower or be wiped out.Salamence will switch because I can threaten it with ice beam unless it carries draco meteor and attacks. I'm not 100% sure if it will or not however. He also provides trick room assistance which is what this sandstorm team is based on.
4.Fat Angel (Blissey) @ Leftovers
Relaxed Nature
Ability:Natural Cure
EV:HP6/Def252/SpD252
IV:Spd0
Moves:
1.Aromatherapy
2.Softboiled
3.Thunderbolt
4.Toxic
Comment: Blissey is a staple to sandstorm and trick room teams and i can see why. The girl has access to status healing moves and is a status absorber in her own right. Everything about this set is pretty standard except for thunderbolt which is for gyarados though I think I should replace it for another move...Besides that Blissey isn't working that well on my team because she is easily ravaged by scizor as most of my team is. I am just not too sure what i can replace over her.
5. Palm Tree (Exeggutor) @ Leftovers
Quiet Nature
Ability: Chlorophyll
EV:HP6/Att252/SpA252
IV:Spd0
Moves:
1.Zen Headbutt
2.Grassknot
3.Trick Room
4.Sleep Powder
Comments:Exeggutor was considered as my 3rd of the trick room trio for the team because of access to sleep powder but he has proven to be a hinderence for the team because of his typing. If there was another trick roomer that could fit the bill better than exeggutor and lessen the vulnerability to scizor, then please make the suggestions ASAP. Not too much to say about him apart from negative stuff so moving on.
6.(BAN ME PLEASE) (Heatran) @ Macho Brace
Quiet Nature
Ability:Flast Fire
EV:HP6/Att252/SpA252
IV:Spd0
Moves:
1.Fire Blast
2.Earth Power
3.Dragon Pulse
4.Explosion
Comment:Heatran is a staple of sandstorm teams and can work well on trick room teams because he is slow already and has access to powerful moves such as explosion Fire Blast and Earth Power. This set is nothing out of the ordinary except the item though I do miss the power of life and wonder if I should replace it over the macho brace because all it seems to do is hinder his power as a mixed attacker.
In conclusion as previously stated, I am aware of the scizor weakness my team has and i would dearly like help to remove that weakness the most efficient way so I can make this team stronger. Any criticism, support and ideas would be very much appreciated. I will be going to see my grandparents over xmas and will reply to your ideas when i can. Thanks alot in advance. I will make edits and such as i hear out your ideas and do some testing (when i get back for the testing part) when available to do so.
