My usual team... OU

This is the team I've been usong for a while, with a regular succes, thanks to predictions about the most common sets in our centralized OU format. The bad here, is that all of the battle that I win or lose, are because of Hax, so I'm here to ask you to help me build a team that doesn't depends to much on Hax to succed.

Charizard(M) @ Salac Berry
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def /252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Belly Drum
- Substitute
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch

Here it come the lead. Since many players use the classic suicide leads to set up Steallh Rock, or simply they are steel types like Metagross or Bronzong, they usually run away, wich is the perfect time to "bulk up" the power of Charizard. This only runs to: Swampert or Gengar leads.

Flygon (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/120 SAtk/ 136 Spd

Naughty nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Draco Metor
- Stone Edge/Fire Blast (not fully decided)

- U-turn
- Earthquake

A Great member for the team, wich acts like scouter and revenge killer, the mixed set gives it a special surprise for those who are waiting for the full physical set (basically, those steels who expect to trap it in Outrage). As always prediction is the key.

Blastoise @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/6 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Surf

- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic

My physical wall, it can handles the all hated Heatran, and also shuts down those stealth rocks, but also it creates a great damage to some other walls by poisoning them. again the only great problem here would be Gengar, since it 2HKOs with thunderbolt and it's inmune to toxic

dpmfa376.png

Metagross @ Shuka Berry
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 152 HP/252 Atk/104 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Agility

- Earthquake
- Meteor Mash
- Explosion

Agiligross makes a return, since most of the sets now carry Choice Band/Scarf and Trick, this Metagross most times has a turn to boost speed and can attempt to sweep. Exposion as a last resource. Great at the lategame or even mid game.

Machamp (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP/252 Spd/6 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Rest

- Sleep Talk
- Dynamic Punch
- Ice Punch

My stat absorber and pseudo hazer with the help of Dynamic Punch, since Machamp is so bulky it is able to come it in many cases, like Crunch, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, ect... , If the opposing pokemon stays it risks to hurt itself and also recieve another hit, so most of them switch out .

dpmfa282.png

Gardevoir (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 HP/48 SAtk/176 SDef/ 32 Spd
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Will-O-Wisp
- Hypnosis

Special Wall, with support for the team, which is why I chose it instead of the popular Porygon 2, with two stat anoyers, it corrupts 1/3 of my opponets team. With great resistance to Special attack and also to some physicals, the secret its to use the ability of your opponent against them or in our favor, such as: Volt Aborb, Water Abosrb, Flash Fire, Magnet Pull, Itimidate, Speed Boost, Download, etc.

I will be pleased, if you guys can give me some advices on the weakneses that my team have, and which changes should I have to do in orther to have a better synergy.

Charizard is a truly amazing Poké if you manage to pull it off. However, most people will think it is a BellyZard, as they are mostly leading, so they might just attack right away, regardless what Poké and Type it is. For that reason, you might want a special version, or a completely different lead altogether, as it can give you the upper hand. Also, as Swampert is the most common switch-in to BellyZard, tricking in Swampert and then killing it with HP Grass can be very awesome!

Apart from that, the team seems pretty solid, and also kudos for using Blastoise and Gardevoir as your walls. They both, sadly, lack reliable recovery though, so I don't think they will live as long as you want them to.

I will suggest getting Porygon2 over Gardevoir, and Slowking over Blastoise.
Porygon2 can do a lot of the same things as Gardevoir with trace, and even tho it doesn't get the double-status-combo, it has Thunder Wave and Toxic, and Porygon2 makes a truly awesome counter for Gyarados and Salamence. Since Porygon2 is physical, you might still want something on the special side, and that's where Slowking comes in.
Slowking has the water type Blastoise has, but it also carries a Psychic-typing, meaning Fighting-Pokémon won't cause you all that much trouble. Slowking also get Slack Off, meaning you can heal yourself right away. You lose Rapid Spin, but since Charizard is the only one weak to it, and since it's your lead, Stealth Rock won't be too troublesome for you anyway.

Your Charizard lead can't really handle the common opposing leads. Azelf can still set up SR and Explode on your Charizard's sub as it Belly Drums down to 25% health, after which it can easily be picked off by a priority move or a scarfer. And most likely you won't be switching back in, because SR will kill you, and if you do manage to spin it away you have a 25% charizard who can't use half its moves.

I'd change Charizard to an anti-lead Infernape:

Infernape @ Focus Sash
Naive
64 Atk, 252 SpA, 192 Spe

- Fake Out
- FIre Blast
- Stealth Rock
- Close Combat

This beats Azelf with Fake Out + Fire Blast, while surviving Psychic with its sash. The Stealth Rock it can set up will also benefit the rest of your team in sweeping, especially Machamp who has difficulty with flying types. With Close Combat you can get an early KO against Tyranitar.

I would also replace Ice Punch on Machamp to Stone Edge. This allows you to still do respectable damage to Salamence, while doing even more damage to other fliers such as Zapdos and Gyarados. All in all it has better type coverage with Fighting as well.

LR.

Go with Fire Blast over Stone Edge on Flygon, it will allow you to hit Steel types such as Bronzong and Skarmory who you otherwise cant really do diddly to, it just seems an an ultimately better choice, as for Blastoise, do you feel that you really need the spinner? If you don't which I expet you cange change it to a Vaporeon who can run a similar set that will look a little like

Vaporeon @ Leftovers
Bold Nature / Water Absorb
EVs: 188 HP / 252 Def / 68 SpA
~ Surf
~ Wish
~ Protect
~ HP Electric / Toxic / Ice Beam

It obviously doesn't make a beter physical but it becomes a better multi-purpose wall who can also scout attacks and Pass wishes around your team, something that Gardevoir, Metagross and Flygon will all be happy to see. I would go with Toxic as you can deal with Gyarados and Salamence (up to an extent) with Gardevoir, and you could use the TOxic on other Bulky Waters like Milotic etc...

Put four extra Speed EVs on your Flygon so that it can outspeed the standard DDMence after a Dragon Dance, it cannot revenge kill it as well if it only has a 50% chance of outspeeding it, you can remove the EVs from HP as they aren't really doing anything. Now moving on to Gardevoir, I can understand why you would prefer to use it over Porygon Z, but why not put Thunderbolt on it instead of Hypnosis, this will allow you to come in on Gyarados and not fear the Taunt, Hypnosis also sucks post plat what with trhe accuracy drop. I would keep Will-o-Wisp for Salamence, but you could put HP Ice on there instead to pose a more immediate threat, like the "elemental" Weezing set on the analysis, Hidden Power Ice also has 100% accuracy unlike the Firey Wisp.

Thats all I can really see right now, are you having problems with a specific threat? If you are feel free to come back and ask, and we'll try and help you to sort it out. =D
