Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
I like the structure of your team bro, but I see somethings that I would personally change:
- Espeon > Xatu is almost always the way to go. Espeon does the same things Xatu does, but just a bit better. Espy hits harder and is faster, while Xatu gives you an Ground immunity you already have. I would have to go with the following set:
- Now that you have a fast Psychic type, Alakazam might not be the best option for you. Seeing that I switched out a Wall for a sweeper, I would go for a nice and bulky Porygon2, that can really help your defensive side.
Porygon2 @ Eviolite
Ability: Trace
EVs: 252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SpD
Calm Nature
- Tri Attack
- Ice Beam
- Thunder Wave
- Recover
- I love the fact you are using a defensive Salamence, but it seems to me that the Defog doesn't have to be on there. You already have a Bouncer, so why not switch out Defog for Earthquake to deal with the Steel types a bit better.
- The last thing is kind of a personal preference of mine. You are runny Dragon Dance and Aqua Jet on the same set with your Crawdaunt, but most of the times a set with Aqua Jet benefits more from a Swords Dance and a set with Dragon Dance benefits more from a Superpower. I would personally go for a Swords Dance set with the Aqua Jet, as it can really nuke some frail mons with it, while Knock Off and Crabhammer do the trick versus walls.
Crawdaunt @ Life Orb
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Crabhammer
- Knock Off
- Aqua Jet
- Swords Dance
I wish you the best of luck with your team and I hope that my suggestions helped a bit. And glhf with the battles :]
Hey nice team ryast89 ! Although I have a few suggestions would could improve it!
As said above Espeon > Xatu.
Xatu is completely outclassed by Espeon in anyway possible apart from, Once again stated above maybe not give ground immunity. Espeon can fulfil the same role as well as being able to set up screens faster and more reliably and hit hard back in return.
LO Mixed Mence > Defensive Mence.
There's nothing really wrong about Defensive Mence but the fact that you already have a Bouncer it really doesn't make sense. Since your team seems pretty Hyper Offensive I think LO mixed mence will help a lot. Fire Blast / Earthquake / Roost / Draco Meteor. This is a decent set for mixed mence, Fire blast being able to hit grass types and specially defensive steels, Earthquake being able to somewhat lure in Fire types such as entei who think it's a special mence, Draco Meteor is a nice and powerful STAB which mons usually tend to struggle to switch into and Roost is a nice and reliable recovery move.
Whimsicott or Slurpuff > Alakazam
or
Your team really lacks a dragon switch in especially to ones that threaten your team A LOT such as LO hydreigon so I think your team could use some dragon immunity. I used Whimsicott over Slurpuff for this roll as I assumed you wanted a special attacker with a decent speed stat. Slurpuff indeed can be used if you want a sweeper which Slurpuff is capable of doing especially behind screens.
Goodras EV Spread to: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Not much explaining needed, just change 248 defence to 248 HP to increase goodras natural bulk!
