I haven't have so much time battling lately, but this week I decided to do a couple of UU battles on shoddy, and lets just said I loosed a lot more than I won ;) I haven't test this team yet and I won't be able to battle on shoddy for almost a week so I thought I should try to improve it a little.
My biggest concern that I can come to think off is Swellow and rain dance teams =/
Hitmontop (M) @ Choice band
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/ 6 spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Mach punch
- Stone edge
- Close combat
- Bullet punch / Earthquake
I have only had a few UU battles yet, but I seen a lot of normal-leads so I want something that can scare them off. Intimidate mess up physical leads. He can also revenge kill weakened stuff later in the match. I'm not sure of the last slot, Bullet punch allows me to 2KO aerodactyl and finnish of weakened froslass, but it doesn't get any boost from technician so it's not so fun to be locked in.
Clefable (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP/112 Def/8 Spd/138 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Wish
- Thunder Wave
- Light Screen
- Seismic Toss
Clefable is just awsome thanks to it's ability! Wish might not be the safest way to heal her, but it makes clefable a bit more of a team player. She provide paralyze support which is good since my fastest pokémon is a drapion. Many of them is however pretty bulky and can take those physical attacks that clefable may attract so she can wish pass to them. Magic guard is an awsome ability, especially if I can switch it in on a will-o-wisp or toxic so I can absorb status with it. Leach seed immunity is also very good since I don't have any grass pokémon.
Altaria (M) @ Choice spec
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 6 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spd
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Draco meteor
- Dragon pulse
- Fire blast
- Rest
Basically I wanted another special attacker as well as a decent switch into the standars plot-ninetales. I don't think Bastiodon or Propopass is to threatening to my team so I think rest is a better choice than hidden power ground.
Claydol @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/144 Def/114 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Psychic
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
Standard support claydol. Other than Altaria my team aint so weak to stealth rock, and hitmontop is the only one that's hurt by toxic spikes (which drapion can absorb). So I'm not sure if I need rapid spin. Maybe a screen would benefit my team better?
Rotom @ Expert Belt
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden power grass
- Will-o-wisp
Rotom has awsome typing so he has plenty of ways to get in. Hidden power grass takes care of ground/waters but other than that feels pretty useless. Will-o-wisp to burn physical threats and punnish pokémon that tries to take it down with sucker punch.
Drapion (M) @ Scope lens
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Night Slash
- Ice Fang
Standard sword dance Drapion. After a sword dance not many things can take critical hits from him. I know life orb is more safe, but I don't like the negative side of it, and a critical hits is really deadly thanks to sniper.
