For those of you who don't know me, I typically make YouTube videos revolving around fan-created metagames. I was pleasantly surprised with the versatility of Smogon Doubles, however, and ventured into it. Now... what would you all suggest? This is my first team and I know it has flaws but I need serious input. Also, this team will hopefully show off some gimmicks that you will like- but that's entirely up to interpretation.
Now first up is this bizarre Prankster Riolu:
Pooky (Riolu) (F) @ Eviolite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Low Kick
- Detect
- Follow Me
- Copycat
The Special EV's are in place for Riolu to at least take a hit, and it has mainly all status moves to support the team. Low Kick takes care of heavier mons such as Mega Aggron and Tyranitar, Detect (for obvious reasons), Follow Me for Riolu to take the hits over anything else on the field, and Copycat to steal sweeping moves. This was originally made to support Magnezone, but failed in the end after realizing Magnet Rise only affects the user.
Cyberzoid (Magnezone) @ Leftovers
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Discharge
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Protect
Then there's Magnezone: the murderer of everything. Initially this was an Analytic set, but it was switched out for Magnet Pull, due to the ridiculous amount of Ferrothorns I've battled against. Discharge heals Thundurus-T and hits both opponents, Flash Cannon is reliable STAB, HP Fighting hits all steel types without worrying about air balloon Heatran, and Protect is there to give Mag a chance against Ground Types. I could switch out HPF for HP Ice but I'm unsure...

Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

Ahh Talonflame... the most overused Bird of modern Pokemon xD
Needless to say, Talonflame is on this team for 2 reasons only: Brave Bird and Tailwind.
Priority Tailwind gives Magnezone and 2 other team members insane sweeping potential, and Brave Bird destroys any AV Conkeldurr or other fighting type the team comes across. Simple enough. I also have the Charti Berry, just in case :P you never know...
The Flash (Thundurus-Therian) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Superpower
- Volt Switch
- Psychic
- Protect
This is a bizarre one, but hear me out. Constant healing from Magnezone and a speed boost from Talonflame's Tailwind makes Thundurus-Therian EXTREMELY dangerous in battle. Many times I have been stuck in a rut, and Thundurus comes through, destroying everything in his path. Superpower is there for coverage against Steel, Ice, and Rock types, Volt Switch gives T-T a chance to escape dangerous attackers, Psychic is there for coverage, and Protect allows him to scout. Couple this with the Life Orb and T-Therian has worked surprisingly well with this team.
Dinner (Crawdaunt) @ Life Orb
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

- Knock Off
- Aqua Jet
- Dragon Dance
- Rock Slide
Whaaat? 2 LO users? Yes. 2 of them. Crawdaunt is the second of the 2 main Tailwind Sweepers in this team; Crawdaunt being the physical half of the pair. DDance if something switches, Knock Off for Eviolite users or Ghost types, Aqua Jet for STAB, and Rock Slide for coverage allows Crawdaunt to be the destroyer of worlds... I mean walls.
Wart (Venusaur-Mega) @ Venusaurite
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Leech Seed
- Sleep Powder
There's nothing extravagant about this Mega Venusaur- he's there to take physical hits and annoy the opponent. Need I say more?
Please leave advice ^-^ hopefully this team isn't as bad as I initially thought.
