My way of UU is so much more fun!

The team!

As you can see, my team consists of crappy ass Pokemon. Bet half of you can't even name half of these Pokemon. However, don't be fooled. This team doesn't suck; I don't think it does atleast <_< This teams pretty old actually. Been wanting to make it less sucky recently. So much more better than my Luvdsic team I gotta say. xD

Aim of the team to weaken as many things as I can, this will open up the sweep for either Raticate or Plusle. Or to get close enough to a sweep where the opponent leaves because they die of embarrassment because they're getting owned by a Cherrim. :)

I use this team on the UU ladder to moderate success actually so here goes...

dpmbsa313.png

Volbeat (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 122 HP/252 Atk/136 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Trick
- Brick Break
- Thunder Wave

Hm. I think that you set the pace from the start of the battle, so what better way of doing that than a fast U-turn? :D Can't go wrong with a U-turn, sending in the appropriate Pokemon to whatever they switch in or keep in for that matter.

The most interesting move on this set has to go to Trick. It's the main recipient if I can predict a Trick coming from the opponent. Volbeat carries a scarf mainly because it makes getting around certain pokemon (mainly walls) such as Steelix and Clefables. I need all the advantage I can get mainly because of the Pokes I use and Trick is another key to me pulling off my sweep.

Thunder Wave simply because my team is slow; compared to the rest of UU atleast. If I want to pull off a sweep, then Thunder Wave is the key to oulling it off. Both of my sweeper's speed doesn't exceed the 100 mark so Thunder Waving faster Pokes allows for me to get past them (or try atleast).

Brick Break is sort of a filler. Probobass walls this team to no end (though rare) and BB 2HKOs. I hate Clefable and Steelix so I put BB in there, though it does pitiful damage, it's better than sitting there helplessly I guess.

Evs allowed me to outrun Aero (dunno why though). Thinking of changing them so I outrun a +1 252 Neutral Altaria incase I need to paralyze it to stop it's sweep.

dpmba020.png

Raticate (M) @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
EVs: 14 HP/252 Atk/244 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- U-turn
- Facade
- Sucker Punch
- Quick Attack

Ah, Raticate. It's my only physical force in this team so if this does down, expect me to be stalled out by something like Clefable. I chose Flame Orb over Toxic Orb because most of the times, once Raticate's in, it'll more than likely stay in to attempt a sweep. U-Turn is just an insanely useful move to scout its immediate counters so I can react appropriately. Facade is just an insanely powerful move. Quick Attack is useful if I'm slower than the opponent and it's a last resort if I know I'm going down. Sucker Punch is sorta the same as Quick Attack really but it's SE against Rotoms and such.

dpmba311.png

Plusle (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Plus
EVs: 6 HP/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Timid nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Nasty Plot
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Thunderbolt

Yes, yes, yes. That's a Focus Sash. Don't hurt me. :(

It's there because it'll "help" me pull off a Nasty Plot to atleast hurt something. And there's the other reason. Swellow. I know, Focus Sashed Plulse is my only defense against Swellow. Sad isn't it? Once SR is up and Plusle's FS is gone, Swellow will run over my whole team.

Thunderbolt for STAB, Grass Knot for Gastrodons, Rocks and Grounds and HP Ice for Altaria. Standard really.

dpmba302.png

Sableye (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 HP/50 Def/188 SDef
Sassy nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Will-o-wisp
- Knock Off
- Recover
- Payback

Star of the team. Stops Hitmons and fighting types in general from ruining this team. WoW is just a great move and helps it's survivability and when combined with Knock Off and Recover, I can more than likely stall out Fighters/ Physical Pokes and come out on top. Payback + Sassy so I can usually go last. I seriously can't praise this Pokemon enough, always helps me one way or another in battles.

Not much more to say except it's my favourite sucky Pokemoen. Ever.

Someone needs to add it's seconds ability; Stall! :@

dpmbsa136.png

Flareon (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP/48 Spd/214 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Hidden Power [Rock]
- Wish
- Protect

My favourite Ninetales counter. Well except for the ones without HP Rock(25.1%) and Ground(6.9%). This set has roughly 68% chance of countering a Ninetales. ^^;; However, if I know it has Hypnosis, I'll more than likely switch to something than will take it and switch in Flareon. The Wish set allows me to scout random Tricks/Toxics or w/e. Also doesn't hurt that with Wish, it's instant recovery. :D

HP Rock because it covers Altaria, Mantine and fellow fire types. Wish Passing because my team is weak and Burn Orb takes it's toll on Raticate so I use Wish to prolong Raticate's life and sweeping potential if something were to stop Raticate's sweep.

Speed Evs to go before Mantine and Noctowl.

dpmbsa421.png

Cherrim (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Gift
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/6 SAtk
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Toxic
- Energy Ball
- Leech Seed
- Aromatherapy

Like Meganium; only cuter! :D

Parasect used to go in this slot, purely because of Spore. However, whilst Spore is an Uber Move; it didn't look as cute as Cherrim. Valid reason? Yes. And Cherrim can survive random Aerial Aces from Kabutops, that Mushroom thing can't. :D And Cherrim had what, 10 uses throughout Novemeber? That makes me a sad bunny indeed.

Energy Ball for primary STAB move. Toxic helps me bring down things such as Hypno and makes sweepers who are already fragile go do even faster, with the help of Flareon's Protect that is. ^^;

...And Aromatherapy. No one actually uses that move anymore? Why? Because they're all so good ap predicting status moves or have status absorbers. I don't. I can't predict well (;_;) and I don't have a status aborber (the fragile Raticate does not count). If Plusle or Raticate are hit unexpectedly with a random Thunder Wave, Aromatherapy keeps my hope of a sweep alive. ^_^

Problems:

Lack of Stealth Rock:I need it. but I can't seem to find a Pokemon that fits my team and has SR. =/

Camerupt: YYup. Best bet I have of defeating it is Sableye + Flareon + Cherrim. Through smart switch ins, I can maybe get a Toxic in though Cherrim and use Sableye to recover off the damage untill that camel is no more or switch between Flareon so he takes nothing from the fire attack (though SR will hurt it's survivability). Earth Power does 50ish% from what I remember facing a SR one today atleast.

Swellow: lol. Best defense is a focus sashed Plusle. You go figure. Wonder if I swap Mawile for something?

Venasaur: If Flareon dies, Venasaur can simply sweep my whole team or outstall it. Venasaur will probably kill Sableye before I can WoW + Knock Off. ;__;

Sharpedo: Scarf versions doesn't worry me as badly but LO versions run over my team. My test bet is hitting it with a WoW and stalling it out. Not exactly the greatest conter. :(

Ps.

Aubergine Cherrim ftw. Someone needs to fix the sprite! :D

Thanks for your time and hope you liked the team! Now rate away! :D

Your team has a bit of a Stealth Rock weakness, Volbeat 4x weak to it, Flareon 2x, and Plusle holding a Focus Sash, so you might want to fit a spinner like Hitmontop on it.

Speaking of Volbeat, you should probably run ODDish's set or not use it at all, if using Choice Scarf. It can dish out some damage in the lower tiers, and get a ton of suprise revenge-kills, and outspeeds Electrode.

Cherrim is really unneeded, as Raticate can absorb all your status problems. You might want to try either Meganium if you really want something bulky, or Venusaur works well with this team, letting Plusle get free switch-ins thanks to Sleep Powder, and adding some offense to the team. I recommend this set:

Venusaur @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Overgrow
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid (+Spe, -Atk)
- Sleep Powder
- Leaf Storm
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power Psychic

It gets to 426 Speed, outspeeding everything in UU not holding a Scarf with over 80 base Speed, including Swellow, which gets OHKOed by Sludge Bomb. HP Psychic lets Venusaur hit Weezing.

I'm not sure about advice but this team would get ripped to shreds by any good UU battler.

Take for example one of my teams. I lead with Scarf Scyther so your Volbeat is dead off the bat. Then I perpetually wall your Raticate with Steelix while easily disposing of Plusle with Technitop. Any wallbreaker (Seviper) will tear through your supposed walls if you can even call them that Flareon with EQ and Cherrim with flamethrower.

My real suggestion is revamping your whole team if you want a chance of winning.

Flareon: Why got before Mantine or Noctowl? Both them have huge SDef and can mash you with Surf/Hypnosis.

you are easily beaten by a Clefeelix or Steelable combo. Well, i know its supposed to use crappy pokemons... but..... crappy mons exist to be used in NU, they will have a chance to shine.

Volbeat isnt 4x weak to rock =D
