I am a semi new battler looking for some advice for my new team, i'm not planning on becoming overly competitive, but I would still like my team to hold its own in friendly battles with others like myself. I have tested this team and it seems to have some problems against fast sweepers, but heres the team:

dpmfa385.png

JIRACHI@ShucaBerry
SereneGrace
Jolly
252spe/252atk/4hp
•Stealth Rock
•Iron Head
•Fire Punch
•Body Slam

Of the Jirachi variants I have seen this is my favorite. It can set up the rocks and has decent power for some common leads. If I get the para hax on body slam it can do some serious dmg.

dpmfa472.png

GLISCOR@YacheBerry
HyperCutter
Impish
252hp/252def/4atk
•EQ
•Aerial Ace
•Roost
•NightSlash

This guy is my physical wall. He takes hits nicely and can dish out a desent hit. I choose nightslash over u-turn and other more common attacks because I lack the dark coverage.

dpmfa286.png

BRELOOM@FocusSash
EffectSpore
Adamant
252atk/252spe/4hp
•Spore
•Seedbomb
•FocusPunch
•Substitute

I have noticed that toxic orb breloom seems to be more common but this is the breloom I currently have so if its a major problem it can be fixed. Other then that it bring fighting/grass coverage and can force a switch with spore.

dpmfa468.png

TOGEKISS@Leftovers
SereneGrace
Modest
252spAtk/252hp/4def
•AirSlash
•Thunderwave
•Roost
•Aurasphere

I have always really like togekiss and I find he fits pretty well into my team brining para support and he hits a wide range of pokes. In the games I have played he has been a good anti-waller.

dpmfa466.png

ELECTIVIRE@FocusSash
MotorDrive
Adamant
252atk/252spe/4hp
•ThunderPunch
•IcePunch
•EQ
•CrossChop

This guy has not proven as sucessfull on my team, but he provides amazing type coverage so I would like to give him another shot. His main downfall seems to be his speed so I may change his nature or scarf him to bring him up to the speed he needs to fufill his role.

dpmfa131.png

LAPRAS@WiseGlasses
WaterAborb
Timid
252hp/252spe/4spdef
•Surf
•T-Bolt
•IceBeam
•Psychic

My bulky sweeper, he has great coverage which is why i opted for glasses over choice, he can take a good amount of damage and has been working great for me in the past.

I know there will probably be many problems with my team that I have overlooked but the main flaws I have seen so far have been with my sweepers going down to fast before they can dish out enough dmg. Please try to stay constructive with your criticism because I am new and may be oblivious to some things more experienced players may take as common knowledge.

IMO your items are pretty much all wrong. This is my advice, take it or leave it.

Jirachi needs leftovers because if you go for paraflinch, leftovers help make up those few hits that get through. lefties are an absolute necesity. He's bulky enough to take a single EQ from most threats he should be fighting against. Everything else looks good. Just be careful on turn 1 with the EQ's, it's not the end of the world if SR doesn't go up immediately.

Gliscor is shouldn't be staying in against anything that can ice beam him, and will probably get 1HKOed yache or not, its better to have him absorb physical hits and have leftovers take care of as much of the damage as possible to give him more switches and more time to use his attacks. Also Night slash isn't going to be helping him much, Sword Dance would be a much better option there as there's very few physical phychics or ghosts that gliscor should be fighting. If you have to fight them, it ought to be late game after you've gotten a SD in, in which case you will be doing better damage anyway.

Breloom typically should carry a toxic orb and poison heal. If you mean to substitute, then effect spore isn't going to get much of a chance to proc. If you are worried about being too slow, then switch in on a wall and sub and go from there. Residual damage tends to break sash anyway.

Togekiss looks good. You might want to look at the EV distribution, I'm not too great with those.

I don't see Electivire's sash doing much to help him. Most teams will have stealthrock or some other form of residual damage, and electivire simply doesn't have the power to make that 1 turn count even if he does manage to keep it unbroken until you're ready to use it. Electivires great coverage makes expert belt a much better choice. 1 suggestion for playstyle... don't throw out electivire early. Save him. Your team is going to bring out electic attacks, believe me... save motor drive until you know you're going to get it.

Lapras looks ok, it might benefit a little more from a life orb IMO, but its situational. LO gives more dmg, the idea is to play smart switches to get heals on water attacks. But thats a matter of preference.

Like you said, fast sweepers, particularly mixed ones, are going to give you problems. Infernape could run through most of your team with impunity. I always like to have at least one extremely fast (possibly scarfed) sweeper and/or a powerful priority attack on each time to make sure I finish what I start.

So those are my suggestions, hope it was helpful!

just glancing i see:

dpmfa286.png

BRELOOM@FocusSash
EffectSpore
Adamant
252atk/252spe/4hp
•Spore
•Seedbomb
•FocusPunch
•Substitute

you do know Sash only works at 100% HP, right? and if he's Subing there's NO way Sash is gonna help. the SubPunch set begs for Toxic Orb + Poison Heal to create even more subs and last longer

dpmfa466.png

ELECTIVIRE@FocusSash
MotorDrive
Adamant
252atk/252spe/4hp
•ThunderPunch
•IcePunch
•EQ
•CrossChop

same thing about the Sash, it won't be helping ya much, switch to Expert Belt... and IMO Vire isn't that great (though i can't think of replacements atm)

Your descriptions are insufficient, fix them up, PM me etc. and I'll unlock it.

RMT Rules said:
3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you're having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.

This does not mean add one sentence saying "Standard x" or "all-around awesome" after each Pokemon. If you put thought into making the team, you can put thought into posting it.
