Charizard @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Flare Blitz
- Earthquake
So, first off is Charizard. It's a Mega Charizard X that I have designed to set up and wreck whatever comes out onto the field. The set is pretty standard but I think it's strong. It also deals with stuff like Ferrothorn (Which I seem to run across WAY too much...) (252+ Atk Tough Claws Mega Charizard X Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Ferrothorn: 748-888 (212.5 - 252.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO)
Staraptor @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- U-turn
- Return
- Close Combat
Staraptor is pretty much the speedy Pokemon of the team (with Greninja). It can quickly swap out with U-Turn if need be and hit hard with STAB Brave Bird and Return. Close Combat is there for coverage. Also, it deals with things like Volcarona, who just like to set up Quiver Dances. With Staraptor, I can predict around it and get the K.O. with Brave Bird.
Greninja @ Life Orb
Ability: Protean
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Dark Pulse
- Ice Beam
- Extrasensory
The other speedy Poke of the team. He's a special attacking variant that I've been using on many different teams. Greninja is (in my opinion) an essential Pokemon to many teams due to it's Protean ability. When you pair this with a very diverse movepool, the Pokemon is destructive. Also, this Greninja set seems to be the one that works the best for me.
Avalugg @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Avalanche
- Curse
- Recover
- Rapid Spin
My defensive wall of the team. I know that Avalugg is PU, but I just love to use him. Even though his low Sp. Def. is crippling, he can take a super-effective steel type move for only about 20-30% damage (252 Atk Aegislash-Blade Iron Head vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Avalugg: 134-162 (34 - 41.1%) -- 57.1% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery. Look, it takes hits fairly well against Aegislash). Then, Avalugg can Recover up. This Pokemon is pretty much used for walling any physical attacks and Rapid Spinning any rocks away.
Gengar @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Confuse Ray
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Dazzling Gleam
More or less a support Pokemon that can deal massive amounts of damage and confuse the foe to make sure they cannot counterattack. It also has a lot of coverage with it's Shadow Ball, Sludge Wave, and Dazzling Gleam.
Florges (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Aromatherapy
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Protect
The specially defensive wall of the team. She can be a great switch-in for Avalugg due to the fact her Sp. Def. is very high. I find the two to have decent synergy in battle and they can very well grab a victory for me I wouldn't have gotten under any other circumstances.
