Hello, I just recently created a team and I am pretty happy with it. I did a few battles with this team and won all but one. I was wondering what I could do to make this team better. I'm using the Pokemon Showdown Simulator. Here's my team:
Azelf
Item: Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EV's: 252 HP/ 252 SPD/ 4 ATK
Nature: Hasty
Moves:
-Explosion
-Stealth Rock
-Taunt
-Fire Blast
I'm using the Suicide Azelf moveset, I'm also using him as my lead. Stealth Rock is the first thing I use in any battle, usually followed by Fire Blast or Taunt. Explosion could also be my second option if I get down to 1 HP. Focus Sash is there so I will have time to set up Stealth Rock and have the chance to use Explosion.
Starmie
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EV's: 172 HP/ 120 SPA/ 216 SPD
Nature: Timid
Moves:
-Recover
-Ice Beam
-Surf
-Rapid Spin
Starmie is my Rapid Spinner as well as my Special Sweeper. Surf is there for STAB, Ice Beam for coverage because of the vast amount of dragons used in competitive play. I added Recover to increase chances of survival because Starmie is vital to my team. I didn't really know what to put for the item so I just used Leftovers because I'm not a very big fan of the Choice Items.
Lucario
Item: Expert Belt
Ability: Steadfast
EV's: 252 ATK/ 252 SPD/ 4 HP
Nature: Jolly
Moves:
-Close Combat
-Stone Edge
-Crunch
-Swords Dance
As you can probably tell, I'm using the Swords Dance move set. Lucario fills the role of the physical sweeper on my team. Close Combat, if used alongside with Swords Dance provides sheer power. Stone Edge is coverage, and so is Crunch.
Dusknoir
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EV's: 252 HP/ 52 DEF/ 200 SPD/ 4 HP
Nature: Impish
Moves:
-Shadow Ball
-Pain Split
-Will-O-Wisp
-Thunderpunch
Dusknoir is my mixed tank. It packs Shadow Punch a decent move which is also STAB. Will-O-Wisp is useful as Dusknoir can stall decently. I love using Pain Split, because it does decent damage as well as healing Dusknoir. Thunderpunch is coverage. While Dusknoir is more capable of taking physical hits, it is still decent on the Special Defense end.
Bronzong
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EV's: 252 HP/ 128 DEF/ 128 SPD
Nature: Relaxed
Moves:
-Sleep Talk
-Rest
-Gyro Ball
-Earthquake
RestTalk, 'nuff said. Seriously though, the Rest/Sleep Talk combo is one of my favorite move sets. The only downside to it is that it often uses Rest instead one of my offensive moves when it is asleep which can be really annoying. Earthquake and Gyro Ball are pretty powerful moves, which is why I selected them.
Weavile
Item: Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EV's 252 ATK/ 252 SPD/ 4 HP
Nature: Jolly
Moves:
-Ice Punch
-Night Slash
-Pursuit
-Brick Break
Last but certainly not least, is my favorite Pokemon on this team, Weavile. With his astonishing speed and equally good Attack, he is probably one of, if not the biggest, threats on my team. Ice Punch is STAB, and is lethal to any dragon type that encounters it. Night Slash is a decent move, also STAB. Pursuit takes care of any fleeing Pokemon and Brick Break is coverage. Because of Weavile being extremely frail, I gave it Focus Sash. Pressure won't really do much but its nice to have it.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is my XY OU Pokemon Team. Please give your suggestions below and thanks for reading!
