Myriad of problems that started yesterday.

It always says there is no one in the servers.

Every time I try to log in, it says that I am already logged in. The secons time I click "Log In" it lets me.

Whenever I hit "Load Team" it stops responding.

It lags like an SoB.

The timer keeps counting down no matter what I do. I have lost 3 Battles because of this when it was actually semi-working.

Now Nothing will happen unless I move the window off the screen.

It is also making my CPU usage spike to 100%... It never did that before...

Now it doesn't really work at all. There is no reason this should be happening because it was working fine until yesterday.
 
@sbdnate - I've had this happen, its just lag. Besides 500+ people are on smogon + website, and thats a lot. It just needs a second to check, and it's normal for that to happen. I had the same problem, with the timer. You just need a faster computer. I tested it on another computer, and it was fine.
 
That's just the thing though, this is a faster computer than my old one... And it was working fine on here until yesterday... Besides, it worked fine on my older computer... And my older computer had some major problems... It couldn't even play youtube...

sbdnate is an irl friend of mine and I was actually over at his house yesterday and witnessed the problem myself. It is as he says. There is no reason why it should be a computer related problem as far as I can tell. Back at home I just had a battle on my computer and it worked just fine. My computer runs on dial-up internet, which is quite obviously slower than sbdnate's high speed wireless internet. While it is normal for shoddy to lag a little and stuff from time to time, the problem that he was having was not normal.
 
@sbdnate - Assuming your running windows, press Ctrl + Alt + Del and goto the Processes tab. See which one is eating your CPU, if it is a system process, then you might need to reinstall the operating system. Otherwise just close up whatever is eating your CPU. Besides a computer with 4GB ram, with 100% load will run slower then a computer with 1GB and only 25% load.

@phoenixwright7 - It has nothing to do with your internet. It depends on Smogon's bandwidth, obviously smogon doesn't run on Dial-Up, or DSL, probably a 100 Mbit line or a T1 or something of that matter.
 
System Idle Process is just that - it tells you how much of your CPU is NOT being used, i.e. "idle". For example, if only 3% of your CPU is being used, SIP will be at 97%, if you're using 10% it will be at 90%, etc.. Look for something else that is at a high percentage (I consider anything over 20% usage to be a lot).
