ORAS OU Mystic Tar and Friends

Hey everyone, thought I'd make an extremely fun team featuring the one and only Mystic tar. Still got a few minor kinks and not sure how to fix all of them yet. Any suggestion would be extremely nice to hear :)

Rundown of the squad:

Tyranitar.full.1548744.jpg

Godzilla (Tyranitar) (F) @ Expert Belt
Ability: Sand Stream
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Mild Nature
- Ice Beam
- Pursuit
- Fire Blast
- Thunderbolt

The star of the team. Was very inspired by Legend of the Mystic Ones by BlazeLatias
I found this mon to be THE BEST at catching players off guard. Able to catch out defensive Garchomp and defensive Lando-T, as well as Breloom, Band Scizor, and Mega Scizor on a switch. Overall, the coverage and surprise is fun.

Mothra (Volcarona) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 72 HP / 252 SpA / 184 Spe
Timid Nature
- Quiver Dance
- Fire Blast
- Giga Drain
- Bug Buzz

Volcarona is like the supporting actor on this team. Its the standard Volcarona set with Lum to get rid of the pesky statuses. Volcarona heavily punishes u-turn users and steel types with its bulkier set and typing as well as the possible flame body burn chance.

megascizor-png.39034

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 60 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Defog
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
Mega-Scizor was a great fit into the team for defog, as opposed to a latias to avoid heavy bug/dark team weakness. With no levitate or flying types either, my team is extremely weak to hazards (and ground-types lol). This also is used check to mega diancie without hp fire and is my defensive pivot on fairy-types.

Garchomp.full.1632905.jpg

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 240 HP / 176 Def / 76 SpD / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
- Toxic
Garchomp is one of the best pokemon in the game (personal fave, much bias). Excellent stealth rocker and heavily punishes most physical sweepers such as bisharp, medicham, and lopunny (if i dont get ice punched). Dragon tail is necessary to take out mons that set up (also the standard). I am honestly not too sure how well Toxic works on this set, it seems like a good option to have but so far I have never used it.

Keldeo.full.1175677.jpg

Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Icy Wind
Specs Keldeo brings sweeping potential and is a win condition in many games. Much of my team can check counters to keldeo and U-turn on Jirachi and Scizor ensures good matchups for a free scald or secret sword.

Jirachi.full.1768414.jpg

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Heart Stamp
- Iron Head
- Healing Wish
- U-turn
Jirachi is a great mon to just hax your opponent to death. It also can bait many things in to get the U-turn off or healing wish up any unfortunate accidents that happen to my sweepers. I actually have used healing wish on garchomp as it helps counter a lot of threats in the tier.

Thoughts on the team:
Overall this team is really fun. I do run into some very bad matchups especially against excadrill. Much of the time, the Lando-T goes down in the first turn when I lead Ttar which gets rid of my fear of earthquake. However, with no earthquake switch in, the team is fairly weak. Raikou is also another threat if Garchomp is weakened depending on its moveset. My switch in to keldeo is keldeo lol. I'm really just looking for a lot of suggestions to make the team more consistent.

Yo. Thats a pretty nice lure set you got on tyranitar. I'll make my changes to help with tyranitar

Ok first thing i noticed right away is that your team does not have a flying type. Having a flying type is very nice allowing you too avoid earthquakes from things like like garchomps/landorus-therian/excadrill. Earthquake spammer threathen your tyranitar/volcarona and you don't have anything to take it consistently. This is why I suggest you run landorus-therian over garchomp. landorus will be a great switch in for earthquakes. Landorus can also give you knock off support to help knock off items and u-turn to gain momentum for you. You had toxic on garchomp so you have the option of running toxic on landorus-therian too. But I would run Stone Edge to hit those flying types as not much on your team besides thunderbolt from tyranitar can help you hit flyings.

Ok next i feel like jirachi role of helping versus fairies and u-turning is already done with scizor. Jirachi's other roll for the team is to healing wish but there is a better option. This is why i suggest latias over jirachi. Fighting types like keldeo threaten tyranitar so having a reliable to check to them is very nice. Latias also gives you a better matchup versus charizard y and is also helps you versus water types like rotom-w. Latias can also run healing wish like jirachi but more importantly it can run defog as well allowing you to a have a free slot in scizor so you can run sword dance over knock off allowing your scizor to become a win condition.

Landorus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic/knock Off/Stone Edge
- U-turn

Latias @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Defog
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Healing Wish

Sword Dance>Defog since you have defog on latias you can run sword dance on scizor turning you into a win condition

That seems really good. any changes to the set to scizor to make it a more offensive threat in the spread? Or should I keep it with the current ev spread?

Solid team.

I would max Atk. I always like Scizor hitting as hard as possible to revenge kill stuff.

I love special attacking Tyranitar. You could try Dark Pulse over Pursuit, as it isn't the most powerful. Also a Focus Sash or Shuca/Chople Berry if you lead with it often.

Try out the bulkier Volcarona with Roost, lets you switch into U-turn and take less damage. And I prefer Fiery Dance on it, perfect accuracy and that SpA boost can make up for its lack of power initially.
