- Kyogre benefits Urshifu-R by setting rain, increasing the power of its Water-type moves.
- Chien-Pao boosts Urshifu-R’s attacks with Sword of Ruin, allowing it to OHKO Ogerpon-H with Surging Strikes while also threatening Miraidon, Raging Bolt, and Rillaboom with Ice Spinner or Icicle Crash.

-Mystic Water Urshifu-R is a highly versatile and offensive Pokemon that performs well into threats like Terapagos, Incineroar, and Chien-Pao by threatening them all with Surging Strikes and Close Combat (because Terapagos is on the list).
-Taunt allows it to prevent Trick Room from foes like Calyrex-I and Lunala, setup from Volcarona and Terapagos, and moves like Rage Powder and Spore from Pokemon like Volcarona and Amoonguss. Aqua Jet is also a great option to finish off weakened foes and deal chip damage before Urshifu-R faints.
-Mystic Water heavily benefits Urshifu-R, giving it the ability to OHKO Pokemon it otherwise could not, such as Chien-Pao, Incineroar, and bulky Flutter Mane with Surging Strikes.
-The EV spread lets it live Life Orb-boosted Astral Barrage from Calyrex-S, Life Orb-boosted Earth Power from Landorus, Horn Leech from Ogerpon-C, Sword of Ruin-boosted Body Press from Zamazenta-C, and Sword of Ruin-boosted Grassy Glide from Rillaboom. The Speed lets it outpace Terapagos (this delves into speed creeping, which unfortunately isn't allowed in analyses. -Non-Restricted Pokemon that can take Urshifu-R's attacks well like Iron Hands, Raging Bolt and Rillaboom-who also threaten Urshifu-R before and after Terastallization-are very effective into it as well. Amoonguss can redirect and easily survive Urshifu-R's attacks and punish Surging Strikes if Amoonguss is holding a Rocky Helmet, disrupting Urshifu-R significantly. Ogerpon-H and Ogerpon-C pose an offensive threat to Urshifu-R with potential OHKOs using Wood Hammer or Power Whip.
-Urshifu-R heavily benefits from Tailwind, making setters like Whimsicott and Tornadus great partners. Tornadus also provides Rain Dance to boost its Water-type attacks significantly, while Whimsicott can provide Light Screen support, which lets Urshifu-R survive attacks such as a Protosynthesis-boosted Thunderclap from Raging Bolt and Flutter Mane's Moonblast.
-Miraidon is a strong Restricted partner for Urshifu-R as it prevents Spore from Amoonguss, and can threaten Water and Dragon-type foes that Urshifu-R struggles to damage, like Koraidon and opposing Urshifu-R. Urshifu-R also supports Miraidon by helping against Ground-types like Ursaluna and Landorus.
-Calyrex-I and Lunala are strong Restricted partners for Urshifu-R because they can set Trick Room to provide another form of speed control. Calyrex-I also helps cover Miraidon by threatening it with powerful Ground- and Ghost-type coverage, while Urshifu-R supports them by checking Incineroar.
-Kyogre benefits Urshifu-R by setting the rain, increasing the power of its Water-type moves.
-Chien-Pao is an excellent teammate, boosting Urshifu-R’s attacks with Sword of Ruin-allowing it to OHKO Ogerpon-H with Surging Strikes-while also threatening Miraidon, Raging Bolt, and Rillaboom with Ice Spinner or Icicle Crash.
