Naganadel's blazing Speed, excellent typing, and access to Tailwind make it one of the rising stars in Doubles OU. Resistances to Grass, Water, and Fighting let it match up well against some of the most common Pokemon in the metagame such as Rillaboom, Kartana, and Urshifu-R, and its superb stats let it outspeed and OHKO said threats, as well as Zygarde and Tapu Fini. Naganadel works best on offensive teams that aim to take advantage of the fast speed control it provides. Thanks to Generation 8's new Dynamic Speed Mechanics, Naganadel can set up Tailwind and immediately let teammates such as Heatran and Zygarde fire off strong attacks. It also outspeeds and OHKOes the most common Tailwind setter, Kartana, with Flamethrower. Lastly, Urshifu-R is an excellent partner that appreciates the speed control and ability to beat Tapu Fini, while in return it takes out Heatran.
