Nasty Plot Sweeper (Spectrier) @ Heavy Duty Boots / Leftovers / Life Orb
Ability: Grim Neigh
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
Tera Type: Fairy
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Draining Kiss
- Nasty Plot
- Taunt / Substitute
[SET COMMENTS]
Boasting impressive Speed, fantastic Special Attack, and unresisted Ghost + Fairy coverage, Nasty Plot Spectrier is one of the best stallbreakers and special attacking threats in the tier. Draining Kiss allows Spectrier to handle Ghost-resistant foes like Garganacl and Arceus-Dark and serves as a solid means of recovery against high-HP targets such as Blissey and Dondozo. Taunt shuts down potential phazing from Roar users like Solgaleo and Arceus formes, status moves like Thunder Wave, and Soft-Boiled and Calm Mind from Blissey, giving Spectrier a fantastic matchup against stall. Substitute can be used as protection against Garganacl's Salt Cure and Magaerna's Volt Switch and can prevent Spectrier being revenge killed by Pokemon like Chien-Pao and Palafin. Tera Fairy boosts Draining Kiss to 75 Base Power and blocks phazing from Dragon Tail users like Giratina and Dialga. Heavy-Duty Boots can be used to stop the impact of Toxic Spikes and other entry hazards on a potential sweep, while Leftovers provides some extra passive recovery. Spectrier fits on hyper offense and offensive teams that want a consistent stallbreaker. Spectrier's poor bulk makes it vulnerable to faster attackers like Chien-Pao, Zacian, and Deoxys, as well as priority moves such as Jet Punch and Extreme Speed post-Terastallization. For this reason, Zacian also works well as a teammate, as it takes care of many threats that can outspeed and KO Spectrier. Hazard setters such as Magearna, Landorus-T, and Deoxys-S make Spectrier's job easier, wearing down foes enough for Spectrier to secure KOs and Grim Neigh boosts without needing to use Nasty Plot beforehand.
