Monotype Nat Dex Monotype for a tournament

Introduction

Hello! I'm building a flying monotype for a tournament that is randomly going to be singles or doubles every round, and I really wanted some advice because in all honesty I am bad at videogaming.

Chair (Charizard) @ Charizardite Y Ability: Blaze EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Hasty Nature - Heat Wave - Earthquake - Air Slash - Ancient Power
Chair is here for some sweeping power. Heat Wave is here to target all incase i play a doubles game. Earthquake is good electric coverage. Air Slash is a good flying stab move that inflicts the opponent with pain disease (to much flinch). Ancient power is for when I have a reason to not use the other moves, and also funny pop offs with the stat buffs.

Perry (Pelipper) @ Wiki Berry Ability: Drizzle EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpA Bold Nature - Hurricane - U-turn - Roost - Scald
Don't remember what he's for but he's here for sure. Hurricane is a strong flying type move that will always hit because of drizzle. U turn is there if i wanna switch into dragonite or gliscor. Roost is nice for healing and scald is good water damage with the burn potential. Berry is for healing

perrrty (Gliscor) @ Toxic Orb Ability: Poison Heal EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spe Impish Nature - Substitute - Ice Fang - Toxic - Roost
Funny stall guy Gliscor here. Toxic to substitute to roost substitute cycle. If i'm not needing to cycle Ice Fang is there for bonus damage. If i can't toxic the opponnent, i still have a 10% chance to freeze and 10% chance to flinch. Also free healing with Toxic Orb Poison Heal.

Just a fan (Rotom-Fan) @ Flame Orb Ability: Levitate EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Hasty Nature - Shadow Ball - Discharge - Air Slash - Trick
Used to have a gyarydos and i replaced him because I had pelliper and i didn't need more bad electric matchups. Went for funny flame orb strats here with Trick. The rest are just generic damaging moves, although Discharge is for doubles.

DRAGON DEEZ NU- (Dragonite) @ Iapapa Berry Ability: Multiscale EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD Modest Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Ice Beam - Flamethrower - Surf - Heal Bell
Mainly here for coverage. I call him a utility caster in my brain. Heal bell is there so if Gliscor gets something other than poison and the rest are there for coverage. Berry is for healing

Setter and first one up on the team. Depending on what the opponent sends out, i can ohko their first pokemon with Body Press because of the high defense

Hi, i will try to help you with your flying team.
The mon choice isn't really bad, even tho there are a couple of mons like Rotom-Fan that i wouldn't suggest, but I will look that set by set.

:charizard: Mega Chari Y is a strong wallbreaker and for sure good, you just need to change movepool.
-Fire STAB → Flamethrower / Fire Blast | both are better than Heat Wave, Fire Blast gets important sun + STAB boosts
-Add Solar Beam and Focus Blast as coverage and for the last slot you can run Roost.
-You could eventually run Hidden Power Electric over Roost to beat Mantine and Pelipper.

:pelipper: Pelipper isn't really the best option, and if u want a Water-Flying mon then Mantine is a better option. I think that we can try Scarf Galarian Zapdos or Scarf Thundurus-T to add some speed control to the team. I like more Galarian Zapdos, which is a strong wallbreaker that can snowball teams even tho he can be worn down really quickly by chip damage. We then use Choice Scarf with Close Combat, Brave Bird, U-turn and Throat Choap.

:gliscor: always a good mon, but the set isn't the best. "staller mon" isn't really a thing, especially in mono, you need to think at the complex and here you need a reliable Electric immunity which usually are Gliscor, Landorus and Thundurus-T. We can compress roles and use him as a defogger as well, so we can add Defog over Substitute which isn't really a thing (it can be a cool niche but not here) and then 2 attacking moves which can be Facade/Knock Off and Earthquake.

:rotom-fan: This mon is simply bad and the set is unviable. I would proceed to replace it with a staple of flying teams like Landorus. Landorus-T is really strong, but since we have Gliscor, I would try Tornadus-T. He can pivot arround and can help with the Psychic Matchup which is kinda meh, while providing overall good utility.

:dragonite: I think there are better options than him but he is always a good setup sweeper even tho he can't help too much vs Electric matchup due Hidden Power Ice. Dragonite has Multiscale which is a broken ability, so we will use Heavy-Duty Boots to keep it safe on the switch-ins. He has to be offensive since eq+ft+roost+heal bell sets aren't really a thing there. We run then Dragon Dance + Roost and Dragon Claw with Earthquake. You could also run thunder punch + ice punch or a Choice Band set. We put then max Atk and max Speed EVs

:skarmory: In my opinion the worst steel bird. It's still a good choice, but in an hazard war i rather don't have hazards on the field than having them since we're still a flying team, even tho the only weak mon is Charizard. 128 EVs in speed aren't really helpful so let's make him max speed max def. Also, a Skarmory without Roost ? That's kinda bad, so we're using Roost over Protect. I don't really like double hazards so i think we can just keep Stealth Rock and use Whirlwind, which can get chip on mons and eventually save us from some setup sweepers.

This already is a more viable team you can for sure utilise in ladder to eventually learn the meta (that's what samples are for tho) and i tried to don't change too much. You can really get chip and pivot arround and weaken the opponent's team until one of your mons like Dragonite, Galarian Zapdos or MCharizard Y can win. You should be able to do well versus types like Water, Steel, Dark and Poison even tho Nidoking looks scary (you could use more Speed EVs on Gliscor if you wish to)
